the location was great, quick walk to the centre, very nice hotel and spacious rooms.
the air conditioning was not working properly so it was very hot.

Room was clean and cozy. We felt comfortable there. Close to the center and to the most important attractions on the map of Padova. Thank you very much to the receptionist for the informations about the city. Very good service.

location is fabulous. building old, so the level of confort is somwhat limited, but its all very clean and functional. anyway this was compensated fully with the charm of the place and the great hosts. closed parking in the hotel back yard is a great feature too.
AC units just outside our windows were rather noisy.

Art Hotel Al Fagiano is a family-run hotel. The family are delightful - and very helpful. Francisco, one of the sons, provided me with a map of Padua when I arrived, showed me the old part of the city on the map and suggested some additional sites I might like to visit (beyond those I already knew about).
The hotel is in a quiet area of the city, near to the tram line and bus stops (but I couldn't hear either from my room). The room was large - it could accommodate a family of three - though I was travelling alone. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and fully equipped (though the shower was small and would be a tight fit for a large person). There was a buffet breakfast with a good choice of fruit, cereals, bread, croissants etc.
The only niggle was the size of the room where breakfast was served. I stayed at the hotel for a total of seven nights. If there was a coach party staying at the hotel (which happened a couple of times during my stay), members tended to have breakfast at the same time - which meant that all the tables filled up. On a sunny day, the courtyard could be opened up to handle the extra numbers. This wasn't an option when it rained.

The location is great, close to everything in Padova. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the place was overall clean, well-maintained, and quiet at night which was very important to me. I also liked that I had a smart TV and that the room was warm at night. Overall great value for the money.
The facilities need some updating, especially the shower. I would suggest the place invests in some simpler, higher quality furniture and decorations - the art installations and improvised decorations, though I understand have sentimental value, are made of low quality fabrics, making the whole place feel like a huge DIY project, not very professional and shadows the hotel's other (good) qualities. The unnecessary multitude of pillows, the polyester rugs and the very large art pieces I believe cannot be fully sanitised which for me was an issue. It was also very cold until the heating was opened at around 6 p.m., but it is February and we're in a recession so it is not fully their fault.

The hotel is in a quiet road, but very close to the shops and restaurants, bus and tram stops and major historical locations. The staff were very helpful.
The walls were very thin when people in the next room were talking loudly.

Don’t think twice to book this hotel. Very clean, lovely art and an amazing staff, specially Stefano. 100% recommended, will make your stay in Padova an amazing experience.

Family run and it showed in their attentiveness and treatment of the guests. Nothing was a problem , Francesco and his brother Stefano, whom I had most of my dealings with, were really kind and friendly and had a real willingness to help make our stay a special one. The wonderful art work displayed all over the hotel is the work of the lady of the house. It adds a truly unique experience. This was my 2nd visit and I will certainly go back again.
I would have loved a kettle in the room for tea/ coffee but having said that any time I wanted a cuppa it was pleasantly made for me, even late in the evening.

Hotel with a unique atmospheric decor in a side street right next to the Basilica. The room is spacious and super clean. Beautiful bedding. Bathroom also designed with taste. Very helpful owners who offer advice what to see and how to get to main attraction. I will stay at this hotel again in the future and recommend it to all my friends.

The location just at the door step of Basilica San Antonio is this hotel's greatest asset. Hotel with pleasant, artistic atmosphere and family run. Staff very friendly and helpful
The only downside were beds that I found very uncomfortable.

Comfortable and good location, staff generally welcoming and friendly.
Rooms not to our taste, art work a bit much but others might enjoy.
