Gute Lage, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter
keine Kofferablage im Zimmer.
Kaesespatzen sehr matschig. Wenn man mit hausgemachten Kaesespatzen wirbt sollten sie auch sehr gut sein. leider waren sie das nicht.

They have a cute border collie. Service was great, we arrived slightly late at around 10PM and it was OK to check in. Generously sized room.
Bed can be more harder and supportive. Hot and cold water pipe is reversed and so the toilet flushes with hot water.

It was our second time there and we would go again if we're in the area. It's ca 25min drive from Zugspitze. They have an authentic Gasthof with wooden decorations, homelike feeling etc. They also have a restaurant in the building which means there's no need to go searching for one and the food is good. All in all, will visit again.
Also, it seems thay have done room renovation during the covid time. Bathroom in our room was new.

very professional & really friendly staff. A lovely guest house with Bavarian style. The room was big with a big balcony as well.
Its close to a road which can be a bit loud but nevertheless we slept very well.

We had a great waiter who gave us some tips on hiking trails right nearby.
Food was good.
Room selection could have been better.

It was very clean and the staff was friendly. We were late arriving because of major traffic back-ups, and my phone wasn’t able to call, but our host was waiting for us to arrive. The 3 rooms we had were close together and each was unique. The beds were comfortable.
Taking luggage up the stairs was difficult, and when the restaurant was open, parking was limited. I know that this summer was exceptionally hot, but a few fans to circulate air would have been wonderful.

This is a roadside hotel so your expectations should be nothing more. It was good enough for a one night stay.
The staff at the restaurant was a bit rude and there were a lot of bees inside the restaurant.

Room sizes were fine and the restaurant was excellent (both breakfast and dinner). Staff throughout the hotel and restaurant were most accommodating. Location was convenient to both Mittenwald and Garmisch area.
Rooms not close together as requested. Quite a bit of road noise.

Food restaurant
The quadruple room had a very small and uncomfortable bathroom.
No shelves apart from the window.
Too many flies, impossible to have dinner and breakfast, the flies almost got in your mouth. Disgusting fly paper even in the breakfast room and flies on the bread.
There was no rubbish bucket in the room, we had to take it with us. No kettle for water. Price per room too expensive for service.
Uncomfortable beds and pillows, we asked to change the pillows.
Nobody spoke English and the staff never smiled. They seemed almost irritated, except for a couple.
Breakfast poor

Nice view, quality food, nice people. We loved the dog!
We would have liked the room to be a little bit warmer.

Location is just a jump outside Garmisch Partenkirchen and perfect to be separated from tourist hectic and close enough with a car to reach the ski areas.
Breakfast and checkout currently only starting at 8am (this is temporary). This is too late if you have booked ski school or otherwise want to be in front of the line. A checkout via key drop could be offered in the meantime. Beds were not comfortable for me (1.90m, 95kg), my 7yo daughter slept very good.

Nice place for a weekend stay. Good restaurant too
We could hear the TV from the room next door. Luckily it stopped just in time before we went to bed.

it’s so homey and comfortable
you will need to drag your luggage from klais train stop to your accommodation. not the most ideal during winter

Beautiful hanging baskets
There were flies in the room and quite a lot of them in the restaurant as well.

Dark on the balcon. and rooms
Lots of bugs outside.

Know or conditioner , no balcony , no bathtub , no elevator , I was in a room with horrible kitchen backyard view , you can hear everything is going around from the rooms next to yours

Excellent breakfast, great restaurant, friendly staff. Great location to explore nearby Bavarian Alps and the small hidden cities around. I will definitely consider staying there again.
The bed was too soft for my personal preference. Everything else was great!

First of all, the beds were incredibly uncomfortable. We had three mattresses in the room ( one double bed and a single bed). One of them had such a large crater inside the mattress that it made me sink in and the mattress springs would push against my back so there was no way to sleep on that. The other mattress was completely bumpy all over and the third mattress was as hard as brick, so we had to put any pillow and any blanket we could find in the room to create a plush layer over this “hard as a brick mattress” to be able to sleep on it. Can’t they afford to replace these mattresses? This was insane. Every morning we woke up with back and neck pain.
There was no telephone in the room so that in order to call the reception to ask for anything one would need to use their own cell phone.
There were no usable shutters in the room. More specifically there were shutters outside of the windows but they had been nailed to the wall so that the wind wouldn’t bang them against the wall, at least that was what was told to us, so we couldn’t use the wooden shutters and instead we were advised to use the black out curtains, which weren’t really black out curtains at all. So there was no way one could achieve perfect darkness to be able to sleep in peace.
Tiny bathroom, no toiletries. Very hard towels. Not to mention that the shelves near the bed were covered with dust.
Very limited breakfast buffet. Last but not least, one expects a lot of hygiene measures during this COVID-19 time and during breakfast we were assigned tables based on our room numbers. Each table had pre-prepared plates with single portions of jam and butter etc. Well one of the jams had already been opened (clearly by somebody else who hadn’t eaten it after all) and this was for us disgusting.
