Tradicamp was a very special place in every respect! We loved it- location, tranquility, warmth of the traditional decore, detailed attention to every comfort, incredible library of the Azores and exceptional hospitality. Couldn’t have been better!

Quinta das Cycas is an absolutely beautiful place with stunning views and a very pretty garden surrounding the house. We stayed in Appartment Varanda which is a really cozy place with beautiful views from the appartment itself and the terrace. The appartment is very well equipped including a welcome basket with fruit, vegetables, eggs and fresh bread. All the people working there are exceptionally nice and helping, recommending hikes etc. Great place!

Wonderful house and garden, houses facilities are perfect and the wooden heater was so nice to keep warm during evening! We will come here again without doubt if we visit again Sao Miguel in a future trip!

A lovely cozy spot to ride out the storms while we stayed here! Lots of rain & wind but no problem with such a wonderful home to hang out in! The fire made it nice & warm, we loved to sit in the glass room & enjoy the view. We especially enjoyed the cow serenades during the daytime! Very rural & peaceful, would stay again!
Nothing, a great stay!

We arrived on Christmas Eve and stayed for three nights in Casa Cisterne. The location and site are SPECTACULAR. Our room had 270-degree views. The bedroom, bathroom, and living room/kitchen were all excellent. Because so many things were closed for Christmas Eve and Christmas we made meals happily. Bed was generous and the mattress and beddings were all first rate. Kitchen was well equipped (except the one chef's knife was VERY dull, which made things hard at times.) There are many things to do within easy driving distance. All in all, the best place we've stayed in Sao Miguel across the 5-6 times we've been here.
Honestly, nothing (except not having a sharp kitchen knife), which is easy to fix.

I learnt about this place through my friend so my expectations were high...but it was even better. We appreciated the eggs and cheese and other food in the fridge (it would be a real struggle to buy any grocery on Sunday) and special gift (sparkling wine) for our honeymoon! Rui (who welcomed us) gave us many tips for hiking and dining. You can even find a "Top 10 trails of the island" guide in Tradicampo. We were also glad to use the washing machine. During our honeymoon we stayed at three different places but this one was the best, by far.

The fully equiped kitchen, comfortable beds, the groceries in the fridge, the swimming pool

This place is amazing! The fridge was stocked with produce for breakfast and fresh bread delivered daily. The pool area is very nice although we did not get to use it because the weather was bad. We also liked the big bed. It's truly a lovely place to stay, we definitely recommend it. Of all the places we stayed in the Azores, this one was the cheapest but most generous in terms of service!
Not much. The only problem really is that there is nowhere to put your suitcase and clothing, and the room can feel humid at times but that's just due to the weather in the Azores, it's not the hotel's fault.

It was a lovely and peaceful stay with all the kitchen tools and facilities we needed. Especially the garden was so beautiful and we loved that they provided some traditional foods and drinks
if we have to mention one thing it would be that some of the furniture is a bit outdated but that also felt right in the place

The house was exceptionally beautiful, cozy and welcoming with a beautiful garden. The host was outstanding - welcoming, available and helpful throughout our stay. The house had all of the little extras we could have wanted and the fantastic attention to detail made our stay perfect. One of the most beautiful viewpoints on the island is a few minutes walk from the house. We dream of coming back

The apartment was exceptionally well designed with all the modern facilities and equipment you could need fitted well into a small space. A very well equipped kitchen, hi-tech wood burning stove and electric heater. A large comfy bed and good storage space. A large bathroom with good shower and bath and quality soaps. An outside barbeque with plenty of wood and a lovely balcony looking out to the sea and the rural countryside. Everything was immaculately clean and during the week the cleaner came in twice to clean and change towels and linen. A lovely pool - a bit cold before you got used to it but we used it everyday. The grounds are beautiful with lots of different seating areas, a croquet area and bikes to borrow if you wish. A pond with lots of frogs who seemed to engage in long chats with each other every evening. A very comprehensive welcome pack and fresh bread delivered everyday if you wish, although the loaves were huge and lasted several days. Ricardo was excellent with communications and kept in touch with us during our stay. Overall it was perfect and thoroughly recommended. It was one of those places that it would be nice to keep secret just for ourselves!
Algarvia is a small rural town and one of its delights was just watching the slow pace of life and the cows being herded along the roads twice a day for milking. You can walk to the nearby Miradouro da Vigia das Baleias and Miradouro Despe-te que Suas vierwpoints which have fabulous views of the sea although we didn’t see any wales. There are miradouros all over the island, many with extensive barbecue and picnic facilities. There are no restaurants or shops in the village and Achadinha or Nordetse are the closest places to find these. We can recommend Poco Azul in Achadinha and Tronqueira in Nordeste for local eating. O Moinho Terrace Cafe overlooking Praia dos Moinhos is a great beach cafe. A trip to Furnas is a must and The Praia do Areal de Santa Bárbara beach.

It was one of the most amazing accommodation, where we ever have been. From the fist moment we felt very welcomed, they showed us whole areal, our room, place with bicycles, which we could rent for free ( new mountain bikes with helms even with children's bicycle seat), pool. They welcomed us with fresh bread, homemade pies, marmalades, butter, milk ... We could see sunrise from the bed room, ale sunset from the living room, where is fireplace. It´s good location, very calm, private with feeling of nature. Definetly one of the place, where we would like to come again.

Beautiful location and lovely setting with a wonderful sunset view. The appartment is very cute and perfectly organised and stocked with everything needed. We loved the cookies (complementary) and nice selection of wines (extra of course).
The village is quite and a good starting point to discover the region of Nordeste.
Richard is a very thoughtful and forthcoming host, if there is anything needed.

We loved the fireplace plus the cosy feeling in the house. It was not just Ikea cold furniture style, but it felt very comfortable. We had everything we needed for breakfast, the kitchen was much more than fully equipped. The bathroom was luxurious and we enjoyed the big sized bed.
To be honest, we had nothing to say against this house or our stay. The location is not very close to big supermarket, but for Sao Miguel Island this is normal if you get out of Ponta Delgada.

The location, garden, fireplace, ocean view. We arrived late and having some food in the fridge for the breakfast was a really nice touch! And the homemade cookies from Ricardo's wife🙂

Everything was perfect! The house feels like home, clean, filled up with everything! The garden is beautiful, well maintained. Our host, Ricardo, he was extremly nice and helpful! He made our moneymoon with his ideas, with the bottle of champagne in the fridge even more unforgettable. We regret, that we booked the first half of the holiday to the other side of the island, we felt amazing here!

Everything was just perfect in this place: the view, white crispy lining in the bedroom, local delicious food in the fridge. Ricardo is a wonderful host who pays attention to every single detail. We would definitely come here again.
It is rather far away from the nearest supermarket, I’d recommend to buy food beforehand if you want to cook on your own.

Excellent approach to guests, perfect service, fully equipped with all facilities, great location. Briefly I recommend this accommodation to anyone who want to stay directly in nature, have fulfilling experience and enjoy his time on the island to the fullest. Here is the usual cliché that we will return, but we will return for sure! One of the nicest places to stay at São Miguel. Kudos to Tradicampo.

House is very clean and well equipped. Every detail has been considered and the maps and information about walks on the island are outstanding.
Our kind host could not have done anything about the amount of rain during our 3 days visit.

Realy calm! I loved the stay.
The north of Sao Miguel seems to be pretty humidt. With permanent northern winds with fog and rain it was hard to get anything try.

If you are searching for a quiet place, with a nice garden, where you can enjoy a good glass of wine and get in touch with nature, than this is the place for you.
You need a car (all the time).
The place is very beautiful, well thaken care of, with attention to every detail. You can feel the care of the owner in every aspect. He waited for us when our flight got delayed (3 am!!), and he was prompt in answering our questions.
We had a perfect time!

This is a wonderful little cottage in a friendly rural village. It is abundantly stocked in every way including firewood and lighters for the wood-burning stove. Very cosy. There are 2 BBQs, one in the kitchen and one in an enclosed area outside which has a panoramic view to the sea through huge windows. There is also a pretty garden with a patio for sunny days. The management is efficient, attentive and helpful without being in any was invasive. I have no hesitation to recommend Tradicampo.
Nowt!

I never leave feedback, but this time I can not stay quiet. The house was amazing and reception of Ricardo was just incredible. Everything was prepared, the smallest details have been noticed. I hope we could come back one day!
Thank you, Ricardo!!
