It's a lovely house, with a beautiful view, I loved the garden too! The hosts Helena and Diogo are so sweet and made me feel warm and welcome. The breakfast was always thoughtfully prepared. Thank you for making my stay such a wonderful experience! I highly recommend Casa Caminho do Corcovado!

We arrived very late in pitch black darkness after a long day of travel, but the warmth and kindness we were greeted with made us feel like we came home!

Super gorgeous place, with amazing views and sounds of the surrounding jungle. Also a good location, just a bit of a hill to drive up initially. The breakfast is really good and has a lot of options. Both Helena and Diogo were very friendly and helpful. I would definetely stay in this hotel again!
The only thing that was missing for me, was a mosquito net. We got bitten a lot (even though the anti-bug spray) and if you are familiar with brazil - those bites do itch for a long time and are quite big. If it is possible I would suggest adding mosquito nets over the beds.
Overall the eco and sustainability of the hotel is great, but two slight points would make it even better: by replacing the single use plastics in the bathroom (e.g. with a larger soap dispenser attached to the wall), and installing a water filter so tap water can be drank (as done in some houses in Sao Paulo/Rio); to reduce the singe use plastic bottles needed.

Kind hosts, amazing location, you feel like you’re in the jungle but still very close to all the important attractions, safe, quiet at night. Helena even prepared breakfast for us to go because we had an early flight to catch. Recommended!
Nothing!

Location was really good and close to Christ the Redeemer. Lots of small places to eat in walking distance too.
Not much really. The shower was pretty cold but it’s solar powered and it wasn’t sunny when we stayed.

The location of Casa Caminho do Corcovado is stunningly beautiful. You are surrounded by the lush nature of the Tijuca National Park, which includes all kinds of gorgeous plants, tropical birds and playful monkeys! We stayed in the chalet which, while close to the main house, insured privacy and seclusion. We felt we were in the midst of a tropical paradise.
We cannot say enough about our wonderful hosts. Each morning, Helena greeted us with a delicious breakfast that included mango, bananas and papaya fruit, freshly squeezed juices, bread, meats and cheeses, and eggs made to order. Helena also baked a different kind of cake for us each morning. The passion fruit cake was our favorite. Helena could not have been more attentive or helpful. She always made herself available to answer our questions and offer recommendations but she was never intrusive.
Diogo was also our host. He took us to and from the airport and we hired him to take us on a day tour of Rio. Our tour involved driving through Rio visiting highlights and learning interesting facts about the attractions and neighborhoods of this beautiful city. At the end of the tour, Diogo dropped us off at Sugar Loaf mountain in perfect time for us to go up and see the sunset and then enjoy a delicious dinner at a lovely coastal restaurant. Diogo's tour gave us an excellent sense of the geography of the city and helped us navigate our way around, as we chose to use public transit when possible. We would highly recommend Diogo’s tour to anyone visiting Rio.
We cannot imagine having stayed in a more enchanting bed and breakfast than Casa Caminho do Corovado. We will never forget the incredible view and the kindness of our wonderful hosts. Muito obrigada!
Everything was wonderful. Since we like walking, we didn't mind navigating some of the steep streets and cut-through stairs nearby the property. However, for those that might, these can easily be avoided by taking Uber, which we found to be cheap and reliable in Rio.

I would like to thanks to Helena, the owner of the place, for helping me to plan a surprise party for my husband. She was very helpful and friendly.

We loved our stay at Casa Caminho. Helena is an absolutely wonderful host who was present and helpful without being overbearing. Her breakfast was amazing! Transportation to/from the B&B was easy with ride-sharing apps. The view is also great for a glass of wine at the end of the day, see attached picture.
