This is an excellent value-for-money establishment.
What WOWED us immediately upon arrival was how close the beach and the sea was to us!
Literally toe-touching distance!
We spent two days here and fully enjoyed the sea, the sand and all the Southern Comforts offered to us.
Miss Kumari's cooking is beyond excellence and Miss Kavindya and Mr. Nuwan are extremely friendly and helpful hosts.
Good Job, Guys!
We will be revisiting this lovely hotel in the near future. That's a promise.
Well, one area of improvement that I would wish to suggest is to have a wider range of food options and to make certain that most of the items on the menu are available on any given day.
This is not a criticism, just a suggestion which would ensure guest satisfaction.
Apart from that, a lot of love for Paradise Beach Resort!

Room is nice and clean
They ask to pay at the check-in to see the reason swimming pool is fill with Sea water. We couldn't enjoy the pool at all. My son is only 9month and I wanted him to have first pool experience but that was disappointing. He didn't enjoy that salty water.

large comfy room! with great fridge, tv, hairdryer etc! beach front and a lovely big pool! The staff are lovely and so very helpful (although you do have to ask twice for things - I think that’s a language issue and the staff don’t like to say no!!) Great value for money!
the hotel is tired and needs a good facelift! our room desperately needed a coat of paint!
need tuk tuk or bike to get into Mirissa beach (although we realised it prior to booking!)

it’s on the beach. The beach is nice and clear. beds are comfortable, Has a minibar in the room. staff is friendly .
The location is difficulty to find , they should put more sign boards to hotel. Room has electrical socket which are circle type. not square type. no hot water and they have given small soap for the room. some locks are not working properly. the hotel should have a guide for the vehicles to park properly. local guests parked there vehicles and others can’t move their vehicles. They mentioned that they have wifi, but no one at the reception given any wifi details. food is normal. they have a good selection of menu. The day we checked in, it was full of local guests due to long weekend and there were lot of noice and music at the late night. Near by there are no shops. Two girls at the reception need to learn more customer service skills.

Location is directly on a small private beach. To the city a Tuktuk is required. Rooms are big and everything is clean. The food in the restaurant is delicious. An the small breakfast buffet is OK.

beach is small and little dirty. we went to the central beach
2.0
The room was clean, until it got flooded.
A half built hotel, not easy to find. Which is probably best, as I wished we‘d never have found it. To the staff we were nothing but a number, which was a real let down. The beach is full of rubbish, including a huge kitchen knife; one day (we only spent 2 nights there) we found our room (pool level) two inches under water, when the pool was accidentally overfilled and never even received as much as an apology, in fact the wife even had to assist the overwhelmed aged cleaner with the aftermath. The pool was dirty when we arrived, yet filled with kids and inconsiderate people along with their floating boom boxes. Around 15 diseased dogs were hanging about everywhere day and night - they seemed to be worse off than anywhere else we visited in Sri Lanka, despite the comparative economic wealth of the area. Last but not least we were deceived about the price of a taxi from there to Ella, which we ended up having to pay 10$ more for than the initially quoted price. Needless to say we won’t return and most certainly can’t recommend the place. Fail!
1.0
There’s nothing to like about the property except maybe the fact that it is in Sri Lanka
- Rooms are pathetic and smell
- No telephones in room
- No help to take luggage etc
- No first aid kit (not even a band aid)
- Oily and old food
- No water in the bathrooms
- ACs don’t work
- Plug points don’t work
- Unfriendly staff (two ladies) at reception

Beach front. Pool is clean. Value for money.

Spacious and clean rooms with a beautiful panoramic view of the ocean (make sure you book a sea view suite). We got a room from the newly built 3rd floor with brand new fittings which was a plus. Access to a private beachfront that is shallow and clean. Snorkelling and diving can be arranged with a third party. Free parking was arranged behind the hotel. Great value for what you pay in terms of rooms and facilities.
This was our second time staying here and we were disappointed by the food once again. the food we ordered up to our room took over an hour and was cold when it arrived. Food is also a bit pricey though not excessively. Breakfast was okay but I'd recommend to make use of the great rooms and find dining elsewhere.
