Very reasonable price for the standards of this town and area
Staff is friendly and where feasible accommodating with guests' requests
Clean
Breakfast is basic but rich enough for these covid times
The house is old and so are the fittings despite recent refurbishments so the sound insulation from the restaurant and the outside noises is limited. Furniture is esthetically a bit worn out but still functional

Very noisy and breakfast very basic!

Lovely and comfortable place to stay in range of great hiking. The staff was very friendly at the desk and in the superb restaurant.

Not really anything
The Hotel is very old and in very bad shape - renovation has been missed for ages. The place is noisy bcs its straight at a main road. I cant recommend this house to anybody. No amenities, no elevator, super weak rooms. And the biggest joke is the internet, which is just not working at all.

Very comfortable kingsize bed and a large room. Good inroom WiFi. Hotel is close to the train station and located close to many bars and restaurants, two of which that'd I'd recommend, "Ora" and "Gasthaus Trauben", are only a minute walk.
In my experience this is not a customer focused hotel! Although there were some exceptions, staff were generally unfriendly, apathetic, and/or did not make me feel welcome or appreciated as a guest.
Check out is an unusually early 10am. I wasn't made aware of this until I got several loud knocks on my door followed by a lady shouting at me as if the place were on fire. The time? 10:04! Luckily I was nearly packed anyway because I'd hate to think how I would have been treated if I were just getting up and expecting the more normal check out time of 11am.
Overall the place has a bit of a military feel to it, which is not exactly what one expects from a hotel.
3.5
The staff was friendly; the room was clean, basic, and had just enough space; and within a short walking distance to the train station.
I spent a night here after a 6-day hike through the Allgau, hoping for a good meal and a good night’s rest before my flight the next day.
I got the good meal but the good night was ruined by the smoke coming through my window, which was above the entrance of the restaurant where people smoked; and by the loud music / emcee / guests from below. It was a trade off between being inside a hot room vs inhaling in smoke and being blasted by the noise.
