Cozy stay in an excellent location

It was a wonderful stay, we felt very welcome. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are cozy and have an amazing view of the temple and the castle! I’d stay here again!

Good but can be improved

Our room's terrace was great: amazing view on the Jain temples and the city, right inside the ramparts. Same with the rooftop. Friendly staff. They provide towels. Mattress ok, AC functional, and very good location (right in the middle of the fort).

Even though we had a great view, our room was not matching with the photos on Booking. Divided in two (bathroom and bedroom), we had to get out of the bathroom by passing through the terrasse, so in front of some workmen. So not good if you want to get out only with towel on you... And the bathroom also didn't match the pictures. It was very small, with no space to put your clothes/toiletry bag, which was annoying because they quickly fell to the floor and got wet. Finally, the sheets were clean but not new, so there were a lot of yellow stains on the cushions. Although the loca was great, it's worth noting that in general the water supply system in the fort is Bad design, and therefore contributes to the fort's destruction. So it's best to stay outside the fort (information got by our local guide).

Exceptional

I only stumbled upon Mud Mirror Guest House by chance, but was absolutely amazed by the beautiful location and the very friendly staff. The guest house is located inside the stunning city fort with a rooftop view that you will find only rarely elsewhere. The rooms are clean and lovingly designed. I recommend to get the standard room instead of budget room, because you'll get a great view from the windows also. They also serve a selection of wonderful food around the clock. If you are looking for something local, I recommend you try the Gatta Curry, it's delicious. I had a long delightful conversation with the owner over a drink and he also helped me organize a one night desert tour, since he is from a village near Jaisalmer and is himself involved in the organization. 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Jaisalmer!

Perfect.

the room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. very good price for a room with AC. The manager was lovely and really accommodating. The rooftop restaurant had breathtaking views. Food was lovingly prepared and very fresh! I personally recommend the lemon lassi! hadn’t had it anywhere else and it was delicious.

Very good

Great location in the fort, in walking distance of a few sites and nice restaurants. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, especially letting us check out late and organising a desert safari for us. Thank you Lala and team.

We didn’t realise we had to request hot water for showers so had a few cold showers – not too much of a problem as it’s summer but would have been nice to know. I would suggest labelling the switches in the room as there are very many and have no logic for what each switch is for.

perfect stay in Jailselmer

best shower we had in India. bed, in comparison to other places, also good. the manager is a good man, very kind and helpful. we did the night in the desert with them, and Guru, the driver/cook was awesome, made us amazing food.

Best Place to stay inside Jaisalmer fort!!!

It was very pleasant and comfortable stay in mud mirror. The view of the fort & City from the room was mesmerising. Hospitality of the staff members was commendable. Rooms are pretty clean,well maintained and spacious..it's exactly same as in the pictures... Rooftop has spectacular view of jaisalmer city...food was really good...we enjoyed our stay here...Surya,Lala bhai and cook are just a call away for any kind of assistance. We highly appreciate their every bit of efforts to make sure we had comfortable & Safe stay . A must stay for everyone who wants to gain experience inside a living fort.

We fall in love this place. we stayed 3 nignts with wonderful time in the fort. This is very nice and unique guesthouse. The rooms are very cosy with the great view from the top. The rooftop is the restaurant which is perfect for both sunrise and sun set or skybar. Great location with excellent service from the owner and the staffs.

Extraordinary views and memorable experience!

The most amazing thing about the place was that it was located within the fort! And the staff were super friendly, served a great breakfast and did everything to make our stay comfortable. They even went out of their way to take my mother up to the hotel on their bike. The rooms were beautifully decorated with comfortable bedding andgreat views of the Golden fort even from the bathroom!Over all it had super cozy vibes!

We loved everything. However, elderly visitors and those with mobility issues may find it challenging as there’s a bit of walking involved to get in and out of the hotel/ fort area. They also need to ensure they book a downstairs room.

Lovely place, lovely staff, 10/10

The staff are amazing and were very accommodating for when I had a broken foot. They assisted with booking a tour and were always friendly in general. The food is nice. The room has AC and a fan, it has a balcony and a nice bathroom too. I loved staying here and was sad to leave. There's a rooftop restaurant with lovely food. Location is perfect inside the Fort. It pretty much couldn't get any better.

The food at the restaurant isn't the cheapest but it's not too bad. That's the only minor complaint I could think of.

Amazing authentic experience, both in the fort and desert

- Location in Jaisalmer is the best you can get, views from rooftop terrace and rooms - Lovely interior design gives an authentic feel - Very kind and helpful staff - shout-out to Lala and his team - they offer a camel safari with night in desert off the beaten path, which was an outstanding experience, good value for price and most importantly, camels were treated well - very flexible in arrangement of rooms, food, drinks, activities

- Biriyani was of good taste, but resembled more a Paella type of dish

Best, most caring hosts I've met.

Mud Mirror was absolutely equisite. I was only meant to stay the one night and ended up staying 3, which says a lot. The owner was so lovely, very kind and so welcoming. He made sure your every need was met and ensured you had the best stay possible. I stayed in the deluxe room and the view and room itself were amazing, can't really put into a review how nice it was. Views on to the fort walls and surrounding city of Jaisalmer were incredible, even the view from the toilet!! The food was lovely, very quick service and was really tasty with a rooftop seating area which had insane views out on to the temples in the fort and surrounding city. I went on day 3 on a desert safari trip which the owner sorted out, I simply just turned up at the meeting point. It was such a great evening and felt like a proper desert experience, not too touristy. I'd like to thank La La and the gang for having me and making my trip to Jaisalmer one that I won't forget! Couldn't recommend this place more.

The bathroom doorway was a little small for a 6'5 bloke and hit my head twice but apart from that I couldn't fault this at all, hence the 10/10!

Amazing living inside fort experince

The view from room and rooftop restaurant, simply breathtaking. It’s located inside Jaisalmer Fort complex and the experience of living inside fort is priceless. The foods from their restaurants were so good that we did not eat anywhere else during our stay. The room we took was very spacious and they offer rooms in multiple price ranges.
