The location, the jungle, the architecture were amazing, many animals around (monkeys, sloths, birds), good breakfast, very big and nice outdoor shower.
-The outdoor sink area could be kept cleaner
-The main pool could be upgraded
-One hour massage is around 100 $ while other nearby spas charge only 60-70 $
-For the amount they charge, I would expect better coffee and free kayaks or bikes.
-Very loud leaf blower used during the day, was bit annoying
-Sure we are in Costa Rica (I don’t speak Spanish) and the guy at the reception did not speak any English so I never got directly answers to my questions.
-would have liked to hear some local recommendations
-Our room did not have a hammock outside like the others. That would have been a huge plus.

Even though a hotel should be responsible for the security of its customers, this is absolutely not the case here. The area around the pool wasn’t safe at all. Luckily only material damage happened to me but this could have been a lot worse, needless to say that if it wasn’t me but a child or an elderly person this could have been treacherous.
I fell in the swimming pool in the middle of the night because it wasn’t secured nor illuminated. The receptionist even told us that she didn’t understand why it wasn’t illuminated and confirmed that it could’ve been very dangerous, all of this was said in front of a witness.
It was confirmed to me twice that they’ll refund my damaged camera.
They even asked for my banking details. When I came back to Switzerland it was a complete turnaround, I received a rude email saying that the hotel is not responsible for material damage and they even told Booking that they never asked for my banking details.
I do not recommend this hotel at all. Unsafe area and lying staff. I’m completely disappointed by their behavior.

Quiet location.
The room was dusty and could use a good clean-up and maintenance. Also, some hooks to hang clothes would be great. The towels were very old and could be changed.

The property is gorgeous and unique! The grounds are spectacular. The daily breakfast was beautiful and the egg station was a great surprise. You truly feel like you’re in Bali or Africa when you are there. It was an adventure I will never forget and I’m glad we included this into our honeymoon.
When we checked in we were early as we were dropped off by our shuttle company from Panama. I understand there is a check in time, however we went to the beach, swam in the pool and pretty much wasted as much time in the blazing heat as we could before the staff let us go to our room 30 min before check in time. They acted like it was a huge favor to us to let us in our room a little early. When we got to our bungalow, there was no one else staying in the entire area. They were fixing up another bungalow so who knows, maybe it wasn’t ready but it felt a bit petty that they wouldn’t let us weary travelers into our room when there was no one else staying there. The main pool area could have been kept up better, the pool was pretty dirty and the area around it was sort of drab and dry. I understand they are an eco lodge and there hasn’t been much rain this rainy season but it felt a little dirty to swim in. The shower head at the main pool had green algae covering the shower head and the huge spiders right above the shower and I wanted to get the beach sand off of me.
The bungalows: the adults only area of bungalows is quite interesting. They are beautiful but very sparse. It really is like “glamping” so be prepared for that. There are no side walls, just screens so you will hear everything and I mean everything! We heard the most amazing jungle noises and I could also hear the people next to us using the bathroom etc. The jungle noises are unreal though and worth all of the other slight inconveniences. I was fully immersed by the second night but I’m not going to lie, I had a few diva moments and eek moments because there are bugs!!!! Just don’t look too closely because the place is very clean but you are in the rainforest.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and the location was excellent. The gardens were wonderful and it was a short walk to the beach. The little cabin was quaint, and generally the resort offered an immersion in nature.
Breakfast choices were a little limited, I would have liked the fruit buffet however it was closed due to the season and low guest numbers.

very nice bungalows in a spacious garden full of wildlife, private terraces with hammocks are ideal to enjoy a nice evening
everything was very nice, only the towels could use an upgrade

Very nice room and bathroom in the forest
Being in the forest means that monkeys wake you up at 5am screaming very loudly for 2 hours

The grounds, pool area and common areas are all beautiful. A tropical jungle dream. The cabins are really rustic, which we liked and wanted for the most part. There are screens rather than windows and only a cieling fan no air conditioning. We were fine with that. The only thing we really wished we had in the room is a small refrigerator and a larger safe that fits a laptop. Other than that it was lovely. The patio had a hammock and a couch and table. The wifi kept cutting out which was annoying. Two of the front desk clerks were friendly and helpful (both male) but the one female was really unhelpful when we asked about getting a cab or where we could hike/snorkel. The breakfast was great, but the staff wasn't keeping up with things as they ran out. Very minor complaints. Overall still a really nice place to stay. The giant tree at the back of the property was spectacular.

Loved the garden and ambience of the lodge.. The staff were very friendly and, when asked, were very responsive..
House keeping not great on 2 days cleaning rags left in the room. Breakfast was fine, but not well attended to by staff, empty platters of fruit, etc, not replenished, and plates for self-service were sometimes not properly washed.

The property itself is very gorgeous, the pool is very nice, the bungalows from the outside look very interesting, easy access to go to the beach throughout a passage way and crossing over the main street to the beach is a walk of about 7 min! We ordered food in the restaurant of the lodge, which was delicious! There where interesting animals to see on the property!
- There was a lot of noise, ( I am not talking about the howling monkey's!), other surrounding properties are having parties with music you can hear with people screaming sometimes and even so we where a bit deeper within the property, the traffic was sadly still possible to hear and was quite loud sometimes!
- The bungalow/villa I was staying, was not cleaned properly and I had allergies because of it, dust + spider webs in various places! The wooden floor, has some lose planks, so when you walked on them, they made a very pitching noise, which sadly caused my 3 years old to wake up in middle of the night when I had to go to the bathroom + when we arrived, the bathroom had dirt prints within the shower and also toilet seat is very small, looks more fit for a child then an adult person! There was also a drawer, which seams to have not been cleaned in a very long time, to the point, where I was not willing to put anything inside there!
- At arrival, there was one person in reception, attending other people who just arrived about 1 min before us, but was not able to even greet or indicate, that in a short moment we will be attended by someone and just kept looking into his computer while he sent the other tourist back to his car, to get his ID, which took about 2-3 min, then an other person came and attended us finally! ( I would expect a bit more multitasking which I have seen in other hotels, I do not need a red carpet but a hello and wait a moment please would have been more then enough for me ).
- When we where at the pool, my wife went to the reception and asked for a towel, so she could dry my 3 year old son, later when they came out of the pool, but she was ignored and no one came to assist, so she came back and told me about it, I went there and got one, after I called someone over! I can only speak of what she indicated me, since I did not see it, but I have no reason to disbelieve her story!

there are space around the housings and you feel the nature.
They use strong smelling insecticides. it was hard to spend the night in the room. Somewhat strange regarding their claims.
cleanliness is not a focus.
