Excellent place, town, and island!

A Alera is a very modern and clean facility which is located in the beautiful town of Malfa and has an incredible views from both the public spaces and, in our case, our room. Breakfasts are excellent. Staff bent over backwards to not only make our stay excellent, but to share personal stories and thoughts that really made us feel at home. Whenever we asked about activities, car rentals, details about traveling on the island they were really helpful. Additionally there are some really fun restaurants within walking distance (including one which featured the very best meal we got in our two weeks in Sicily). If you have a chance, a visit to the local vineyard (which was arranged by A Alera), is a blast! Thanks to all for the great time we had!

The chairs on the terrace overlooking the water were broken and or quite uncomfortable.

a lovely hotel and a great price

Beautiful location and owners. The facilities were lovely. It had a lovely homely feel. In particular the owner is so lovely, she was so friendly and accommodating.

Maybe slightly more available for breakfast, to be fair, we came down close to the end of the breakfast slot but unfortunately most things had run out, it was disappointing because it so delicious.

Amazing view

The view was absolutely gorgeous. The hosts thought about everything when it comes to what the room was equipped with. Good breakfast with a stunning view as well. Highly recommended!

The walls are indeed too thin, and you can hear the neighbours.

Superb

The view is spectacular and good location to go to the beach. They have a large communal terrace with a spectacular view. They are kind. The position is half way between the beach and the town (10 minutes each, up and down hill), so that is nice if you don't have a car and are comfortable with walking.

Every extra is a bit expensive. Some breakfast options seemed a bit dried out, others were super fresh.

Exceptional

The view from the terrace is amazing, so worth waking up at 5 to see the sunrise. Breakfast exceeded expectations, it was very tasty and I'm glad I had some since I ended up having a very long day moving around afterwards. The place is lovely, I didn't spend much time in my room but it had everything I needed. The member of the staff I interacted with was very welcoming and nice.

Little heaven

Great view on the sea and the Stromboli ! Clean, comfortable and also friendly staff.

Walking to the village or the beach can be tiring so try to plan and book a scooter of car

A boutique small B&B

The location and the staff. This has a very nice feel and I was happy to be here.

I can’t comment. I do think they could have used one more person to help with the breakfast. The poor woman was taking care of basically the entire hotel alone.

Fantastic stay in Malfa!

Very nice location in Malfa (best place to stay in Salina), close to restaurants and bars as well as 3 min to the beach and the harbour for boat tours. Service of the hotel was exceptional and facilities were all well cured.

Breakfast would be easier if done in buffet style rather than pre-ordered as it would allow more flexibility to the guests. Nevertheless, the staff was nice and happy to accomodate additional requests and probably COVID-19 was a cause of this choice to make the service more hygienic for everyone.

Perfect place on Salina!

The hotel is located on a beautiful spot in the island, and offers an amazing deck where you can sit while watching the sunset/rise. It has a direct view on some of the other Eolian islands: Stromboli & Panarea. The hotel is surrounded by pretty gardens full of flowers. We received an upgrade while checking in, which meant that we had an entire suite with separate living room for ourselves + a rooftop that we shared with 2 other rooms. The room itself was very spacious and offered a big bathroom, comfortable bed and plenty of closet space. The breakfast was served outside on the deck, and was served based on the preferences we gave to the owner at the beginning of our stay. The hotel is located very close to the main square in Malfa (even though its only 5min walk, the walk is very steep), and only a 15 minutes walk down to the beach. We also enjoyed one of our dinners in the restaurant that the hotel owners also run: I would highly recommend a visit if you want to try traditional Eolian food. Since visiting this hotel, I recommended it to two friends, and they both shared my opinion on this hotel :)
