The entire place is great, extremely comfortable and clean rooms. The host couple are incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is excellent, as are the homemade cake and brandy!

We loved it. We arrived bt car and Ludevic was waiting in front of the gate ... chopping fire wood with his axe! We went in and did the checkin formalities ... very few and very quick .. and then got stuck into his home made Rakia. In fact everything is home made here ... every thing you eat or drink (except tea and coffee) is homemade. The place is also like a museum ... everything from old sleds and skis, to traditional clothes and chandaliers made from antlers. Even the beds and furniture. The garden provides your fruit .. apples. Pears, cherries, apricots, the garden provides your veggies, the chickens provide your eggs. The room is clean. The facilities are what you need. The view is of the snow-capped mountains 20km away ... and 20€ for a day of skiing ... wrong time of the year for us unfortunately.! The owners are lovely as are the dog and cat .. who are best pals! Big hug and handshake to both of you. We loved our stay ... next time a couple of days.
Breakfast ... too much food! This is a worry for others .. NOT US ... but it is about 2.5km into town for dinner. We enjoyed walking it ... but you might need a designated driver or a taxi for dinner.

Our host was very friendly, we liked our stay very much. The property has a very nice collection of traditional clothing, old agriculture tools, covered swings, and a beautiful garden.

We loved everything about our stay at this property, from the traditional theme that brings the wood to life to the kindness of the hosts. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The little museum of national costumes and historic objects was a daily attraction, we learned a little bit more about the area’s rich history. The hosts were warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Besides the natural beauty of the area and detailed hand crafted decorations, we got a good taste of the authentic Romanian hospitality. Our children also loved the beautiful patio and relaxing swing bench in the garden. The hosts offered us traditional meals which made the whole experience amazing.

Everything, but especially the food!
Place (but actually the whole area) should be navigated by car, rather than public transport!

We loved absolutely everything about our stay. The hosts, the place, the location. It was wonderful, definitely coming back!
Our stay was too short.

Hosts were very kind and welcoming, had to check in 2 hours earlier than check in hours because of work and they accepted immediately! Got served a very nice selection of local, home made products fresh from their own garden at a very good price upon arrival. Room was cozy, spacious, clean, with a very comfortable bed and view of the garden. Internet was also good and free. Had access to a very pleasant garden with apple trees, peaches and grapes all ripped and ready to eat, yum. Best away from home office I had in a while!

an oasis , super clean , very warm and welcoming hosts (they treat us like family), excellent food, very flexible, and very valued AC in the rooms (over 32 C in July).

The room is very big and perfectly clean, as well as the bathroom. The structure itself is very interesting to visit, with many peculiar traditional things, and also a nearby small farm. The host was very very kind and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious.
Everything was perfect. The only slighltly troublesome thing was the defective door lock.

The hosts were very friendly and open to make our stay as good as possible. They gave us their bikes to enjoy the surroundings.
The bathroom was not attached to the room, we had to go out through a shared hallway and I saw there were other people using it. Also the room was full of hosts' stuff, the wardrobes were full.

The location is easy to reach, close to many tourist attractions for you to visit. The hosts are warm people that have put a lot of work and heart in their property. They showed us the property, what great things they have built, they prepared a great breakfast with food they farm locally. We stayed in a room with two huge king size comfortable beds, the furniture is created by the owner. The pictures are accurate.
When we plan to return to Hateg, we will definitely stay at Casa Vlad.

The host is fantastic! Showed us a lot of lakes and activities that we can do around. The house is quite near to the centre and has a very unique style with furnitures made by the owner himself! We enjoyed staying there a lot!
Room can be a bit small and also the light is too bright
