About this apartment rental
A modern apartment by the sea, just 70 m from a beautiful sandy beach and 100 meters from the centre of Marzamemi, a truly picturesque fishing village. Here you will find a harbour with colourful fishing boats, a promenade with delicious seafood restaurants and pizzerias, and a large square where Sicilians enjoy evening strolls.
Casa Cinzia is approximately 65m2 and it is located on the second and last floor of a building with no elevator (about 30 steps). It boasts a spacious balcony overlooking the sea and the small stone dike in front of the house. Thanks to a great sliding door as big as the whole living room, the sea is clearly present in the apartment.
The apartment consists of a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with shower, bidet and toilet and a bright living room with dining table, air-conditioning, lounge and open kitchen.
Recently Marzamemi has become a popular destination for Italians who enjoy the combination of the area’s natural beaches and the vibrancy of an authentic coastal village. The village has many restaurants, pizzerias and shops selling delicious local products such as locally caught and processed tuna and swordfish and the famous cherry tomatoes from nearby Pachino.
Attractions nearby:
- San Lorenzo which lies 2 kilometres to the north of Marzamemi and marks the beginning of one of the most beautiful stretches of the Sicilian coast;
- The baroque town of Noto. Take a stroll on his main street, perhaps with a nice ice cream!
- ‘Vendicari’ natural reserve, with sandy dunes, ancient tuna factory and a great variety of Mediterranean flora and fauna;
- The prehistoric caves in Pantalica;
- Portopalo/Capo Passero, the most southerly tip of Sicily;

We were happy when we very tired from work and travelling arrived in the nice appartment late Friday. We were less happy Saturday morning at 6.30 when an unbelievably loud drilling and hammering from the apartment downstairs woke us. When it hadnt stopped at 8.30 we wrote to the landlord - the shower wasn’t working either.
We were told it was emergency repairs and went away for the day. On Sunday everything was blissful but Monday morning it started again. We contacted the landlord who told us that it was only for one day - maybe two. He offered to find us other accommodations. We found something fabulous for 70% of the cost of the apartment and because of the offer of other accommodations we assumed that we would have our money refunded or have the new one covered. But no - the offer to find other accommodations was that we should pay for that also and not having a dime in return.
We gave up there and decided our vacation was more important than money. Had we been younger and poorer had we been caught in the noisy inferno.
Besides from that the appartment was ok although it had its flaws. For instance was the aircon inot at all strong enough to keep the place cool not even the bedrooms if you prefer to sleep with the doors closed

We loved the location and very much enjoyed our stay and found our host Pino very helpful Marzamemi is very cute and the location is great for beaches, nature reserves and day trips to Noto, Scicly, Ragusa and not far from Syracuse. The place was very clean with a great terrace and view - a perfect spot for relaxation.

Great apartment with a wonderful view. Less than a 5 minute walk to the main square. Parking near and Marzamemi is a wonderful base to explore the south of Sicily and it’s beautiful beaches and towns.

Fantastic seeview, comfortable appartment
This apartment has a nice interior and an astonishing seeview. You can have breakfast at the balcony. Every morning we go for a small walk to get the nice Italian sweets and good coffee at the bakery and consumed it back at the apartment. Life isn't gonna be any better. Marzememi is lovely, maybe a bit crowded at he weekends, and it's a foodlovers paradise. Noto, Siracusa, Ragusa are in reach.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful town.
Well kept apartment with fantastic views. We did not have any issues with air conditioning, nor any of the problems mentioned in other reviews. We would stay here again and loved the area. Our only suggestion would be for a few more bits of kitchen equipment and more comfortable seating for the balcony, but these are minor concerns. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Beech Hut Shabby Chic
We had a lovely welcome from the key holder who was waiting for us outside the apartment.
We were very apprehensive since reading previous reviews about this property being tired and worn out. Okay, this is not a brand new apartment but it is by no means tired and worn out.
We found the place clean and tidy and well equipped, easily large enough for 4 people with one of best views in town.
The AC works perfectly well in the bedrooms if you keep the living room door shut. If you find the rest of the apartment too warm then try staying in a cooler country next time.
The one downside was the hot water situation. We seemed to be competing with the people downstairs to see who got to use it first? That said, in such a hot. climate I was more than happy to have a lukewarm shower and to boil a kettle for the dishes.
Clean bed linen after the first week would have been a bonus.
Thanks to all involved for a lovely holiday 😊

Dont be fooled by photgraphs - old pictures apartment needs decorating throughout
Upon arrival met cordially by Pino and Enzo OK.Stairwell smelt stale and uninviting.Knew as soon as entered apartment not going to be good nor to match description on website booking details. Our expectations were higher of this apartment.The welcome pack was 1 bottle of water and 1 bottle of wine- arrived Sunday afternoon - all "one grocery shop" in Mazermemi closed - could be more generous- milk for example. Disgusted by the very dirty net curtains at patio doors- curtains need replacing- doors need oiling so the slide better - all furniture both inside and out very sticky to touch felt dirty and grubby.The towels were disgusting (after complaining these were replaced with new ) why were they not there in first place.The furniture on balcony needed cleaning and painting as did the cupboard on balcony.The main bedroom- bed was 2 single mattresses of different heights these were old as well- the bed linen was old / grey and looked dirty to start with. This was rectified after another complaint. The pillows are all stained and need throwing away.How you could put 2 x children in back bedroom would be very uncomfortable.The shower all black round the doors.The air conditioning not adequate for apartment - did not push any cold air into lounge /diner this was permanently like an oven.Overall Marzamemi disappointed us - could be a very charming village if the locals addressed the dog mess and household rubbish on streets- why only 2 stars- the view from balcony.

Lovely apartment in a charming village. We enjoyed an incredible week of sunshine. The sea views are amazing.

Good location but apartment tired.
A map to find the property would help. Only thing in starter pack, cheap bottle of wine that was impossible to open. Arrived on a Sunday and gas immediately run out so not even possible to boil a kettle. Gas replaced first thing Monday but should have been checked.
Apartment tired, with poor quality towels, bed linen, terrace furniture poor and generally needs redocorating. Table, chairs all sticky needs better cleaning. Apartment fine for two but would be too small for 2 couples.Air conditioning struggles to keep apartment cool.

In Marzamemi this is a good option
Magnificent view of the sea. Pleasant noise of the sea. Parking at the end of the street is free of charge. The apartment is on the second floor and sometimes you can hear very beautiful birds singing on the roof in the morning.

We had the pleasure of staying in this apartment for a few days and we loved it. It is perfectly situated by the ocean, and you only have to walk a couple of minutes to dive in. We could spend hours just sitting on the balcony, enjoying the sound of the ocean. Marzamemi has many lovely restaurants, bars and ice cream shops just a few minutes walk away. There is no parking space, but you can park your car in a big parking lot 5 minutes away. Pino took great care of us during our stay and left a nice bottle of wine as welcoming gift. We highly recommend renting this place when staying in Marzamemi.

We arrived at Marzamemi and contacted Pino (very easy to do via mobile, text or email) to say we were here slightly earlier and if apartment was free before 4pm could he contact us. We sat down to lunch overlooking the harbour and Pino contacted us to say it was ready. We arranged to meet an hour later (allowing us to finish lunch & walk to apartment). On arrival we were greeted and so touched to find a Happy Wedding and bottle of Prosecco, large melon & looking up an amazing view.
The apartment was as described and walking distance to the square. It truly is a magical place. We enjoyed eating out and also eating in the apartment, with a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the sea.
On the day we'd been married a week, we were sat in the square eating and spotted a wedding was due to take place at the local church. When the bride arrived we got to see her and more amazing her enterance song was the same as mine. A truly romantic & magical moment for us.
There is a shop selling milk, a selection of hams, salami, cheeses and olives. Absolutely fantastic. The owner apologised for not speaking English, but we apologised in italian for not speaking good enough Italian. Everyone we met was very helpful and kind.
I would recommend hiring a car. Parking is available in a little square, but we found parking at the end of the road easy to get in / out of spaces.
Guilia the owner has been fantastic since contacting last year. With advice and it's been much appreciated.
We could go on talking about the apartment, place and surrounding areas for ages, but, we think it's better to say ... Go and you will not be disappointed and like us will be going back again.
Thank you 😁

perfect situation on sea front.
Arrived to lively seaside village festival for May 1st. . Lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance but only one shop for fresh food. Luckily there was a van for fresh fruit and veg which visited daily but nowhere to buy fresh meat or fish. Beach wasn't yet cleared of seaweed so drove most days to different beaches in Vendicari National Park. Beautiful. Saw flamingos too. Walked for miles along unspoilt coastline. Apartment well equipped for cooking. Full oven, 4 gas hobs, huge fridge freezer. Double bed is actually 2 singles pushed together and not very comfortable but otherwise everything was good. WiFi excellent too. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Great location and clean. Lacked basics like toilet rolls etc and the electric kept tripping out.
Had a great time and Marzamemi was lovely. Very quiet but very relaxing.

Marvellous little getaway
My husband and I spent a wonderful week of our honeymoon here and could not have been happier. The location was excellent and the flat was well equipped for self catering (although we would suggest providing basic washing up equipment so each guest does not have to buy such basic items).
The apartment was very stylishly decorated and we enjoyed many afternoons of sitting on the balcony reading. Marzamemi itself was very charming and we are at a Humber of excellent.
The one issue we had (with electricity) was dealt with very quickly.
This place will always be special to us and we recommend it wholeheartedly.

Hidden gem in Marzamemi
We arrived at the property and were unsure from the outside as the door is in a small narrow street but once inside, the apartment was perfect for our holiday. The keyholder met us within a few minutes of us sending him a message to say we had arrived. The apartment has a splendid sea view from the balcony was so lovely whether eating a meal or simply relaxing and reading.
We had all the facilities in the apartment we needed, which was clean and well decorated, the location of the property was perfect as it was a short walk to all parts of Marzememi either the beaches or especially the square and small harbour with its lovely bars and restaurants. There is a small "corner shop" within walking distance with larger supermarkets in nearby Pachino. Our recommendations for other visitors is to remember the opening times of shops is limited in the afternoons or Sundays so pick up provisions on route before arriving.
We would definitely return to this apartment and highly recommend it.

Beautiful view. Beautiful place. Recommended
Well presented apartment overlooking beautiful shoreline. Within minutes walk of lovely square with plenty of places to sample the ice cream, local wine or food. Plenty worth exploring within 45 minutes by car as well. Excellent holiday.

Marzamemi is a lovely little place tucked away on the south east coast. Heat to hang out and eat ice cream/drink local wine in the square or explore nearby beaches/baroque towns. Apartment perfectly situated for access to local amenities.

great apartment
We had a wonderful time in this apartment which was clean and cosy. The area is nice with friendly neighbours and close to the city center, with lots of very good restaurants. Our 7 year old daughter enjoyed snoorkeling in the sea just beside the apartment. We would love to go back to this beautiful small fishing village.

We were pleased with this rental. It was clean, bright, airy and has fabulous sea views. The bed was comfy, the bathroom had all we needed, the air conditioning in the sleeping areas was welcome. On the downside the kitchen could be better equipped and, especially for Sunday arrivals, it would have been nice to be welcomed with even a basic pack of provisions (no shops open). We found a bottle of water in the fridge - and that was it. No washing up liquid, tea bags, salt and pepper - literally nothing. We have stayed at dozens of self catering places home and abroad and it is rare not to find some of the basics. That said, this is a lovely apartment and we enjoyed marzamemi very much - ideally located for visits to some of the baroque towns which can't be missed! We spent much time on the balcony, entertained by the wheeling house martins !

Very nice, clean, fresh and modern apartment. Pino, the owner, is very nice and professional. The area is good, with a couple of very good restaurants.

The location could not be better, right on the shore with unobstructed view of the sea and sound of breaking waves. Nice, quiet little settlement (at least off season) with friendly people, good restaurants and a beach just minutes away. It was exactly what we needed after hustle and bustle of a megapolis.
The apartment is very nice and comfortable, large balcony where you can enjoy fresh air and the view. Free parking space.
Highly recommend.
