Our group loved our stay at this cottage. We gather about 15 friends annually for Labour Day, and this chalet was perfect. Bed sizes are all equal, which meant fairer distribution to everyone. It was spacious and a bit dusty, rough hewn logs and red brick aesthetics throughout. If you're fussy about cleanliness, you might bristle at the well worn state of the cottage, but our group felt it created a relaxed vibe. Many chalets of this size are precious. We would definitely stay again!

This chalet was everything we had hoped for. The place itself is large and clean and very comfortably fit our group of 14 - We could have easily fit 18. We saw some of the other reviews but found the place to be really well kept and loved the rustic charm of the older style furniture and wood panelling.
The kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes and cookware we could need to cook for such a big group. The pool table was nice and we adored all the fireplaces but nothing beats this hot tub and the beautiful view of the lake below it. Staring out of the hot tub over the snowy lake looks like a painting from a Christmas card.
We loved our stay and would absolutely stay again.

The rental was great and spacious. The dock and lake was a bit of a walk down the property. There was no air conditioning.
Overall we enjoyed the weekend. Many bedrooms and 2 fridges were great with a big group.

Great location to get away with a large group of friends. We enjoyed the large open plan on the main floor and the wood burning fireplace. The kitchen also had a pantry and two refrigerators and the bbq was conveniently located on the deck just outside the door off the kitchen. The hot tub, located a short distance from the back door on the lower level, was also large enough to accommodate 4 people quite comfortably.
3.0 / 5.0
The geography of the location is absolutely spectacular, and is it’s biggest strength, but the cottage itself is run down and showing signs of neglect.
Upon checking in we found a dried up marshmallow and mouse droppings in the kitchen. The kitchen has two refrigerators, one of which unfortunately doesn’t cool, even though we set it to the coldest setting (9), don’t use it! The kitchen also has a broken light switch with some exposed wiring by the door leading to the outside veranda.
The cottage has 2 and half bathrooms, with door locks that don’t work. That’s right, if you pull on the door handle, two of the washroom doors open right up. The same trend continues into the bedrooms which have non functional door locks. This is truly puzzling !
The wooden floor in the basement is uneven and the individual planks around the pool table move up and down like piano keys. The tiles in the basement bathroom also move as is the grout hasn’t yet set.
Throughout the house, the wooden panelling on the wall is either cracked or has the knots falling out. The arm chair in the living room has a giant rip on its side. One of the rotating bar stool by the kitchen is also broken.
The advertised WiFi does not work, all efforts to reset the router and modem were unsuccessful, so be prepared to buy extra data before coming.
All in all, if you are looking for a cottage tucked away in raw Canadian beauty you won’t be disappointed. However, don’t expect five star interior appointments as advertised in the photos, and expected by the high rental cost.

We were a group of 12 and enjoyed our week at the cottage overall. We liked using the row boat and canoe. While it's too weedy to swim off the dock, it was quite nice at the swimming platform. The lake is quiet and small enough to easily canoe around. Note that the swim platform is not visible from the dock as there is a small island in between.
The hot tub was very nice, and we made smores in the fire pit. We enjoyed the view from the wraparound deck, though you only see a smaller portion of the lake between the trees.
We appreciated having two fridges in the kitchen. The large dining room also accommodated our entire group.
We did some excursions in the area that were a lot of fun (dune buggy, river kayak, go karts). Grocery stores and a Canadian Tire are about 20 minutes away.
Wi-Fi is available, but the speed is a little slow and there's limited coverage in the basement (where 3 of the bedrooms are located).
The cottage is functional and reasonably well equipped, but not luxurious. Overall we felt it was good but a little overpriced for what you get.

We booked this property with a couple of other friends from our social bubble. The house was big enough for everyone, with lots of room. The screened in porch was great for keeping the horse flies at bay (although a squirrel kept sneaking in a crack in the screen). The fire pit was awesome, and the kids loved the trampoline. The house itself could use a few updates to really make it pop, but overall, it was a lovely place to stay. Our only disappointment was the lake. The dock was one person wide, so we couldn't sit down there on deck chairs, as it wasn't wide enough. The floating dock was not within eyesight of the main dock, so an adult had to be out on the floating dock the whole time with the kids, as it's quite a distance away from the main dock. The water surrounding the main dock was not swimmable. Very murky, lots of tadpoles and frogs, and incredibly stagnant. The water near the floating dock was a bit better, but still not great. We were expecting a lake where the kids could swim all day long while the adults enjoyed supervising them from the shore. This lake is not that at all. We did enjoy our stay, but will likely look for a different, more convenient and clean lake for our next getaway.

The chalet was quite impressive -- well built, nice architecture, great view. Daniel and his agent were responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again !

This property was pretty good. It wouldn't take much to upgrade it to the next level but if you're looking for the basics, it's there.

The house is beautiful. I think rustic better describes the property than luxury.
During our stay the water stopped running. One of the showers only ran cold. And one of the washrooms would not flush. The dock floated off into the lake. It maybe water front but there is no swimming and access into the boats we considered not safe. Overall we had a lovely stay. The plumbing problems were fixed quickly. It is a rustic house with a lake view not real access. I thought I was misled and I would not stay again.

We came with a fairly large group and we were able to fit comfortably and have a ton of space. The house is beautiful and modern and the beds comfortable.
The grounds are absolutely amazing, with a trampoline and sandbox and slide for the kids and the canoe and rowboat on the lake (where you can catch a ton of frogs!!). The Hot Tub and pool table were a really nice bonus for the adults as well.
Would def recommend for families with all ages and I would love to stay here again!
