We first chose this hotel because of its central location between the train station and the fabulous Narbonne market. We can easily roll our bags to and from the train station and walk to the market and the many restaurants around the market.
There is one area on the first floor that is up two short flights of stairs making it more difficult to access with heavy bags. Otherwise, the rooms are very comfortable and the staff always welcoming.

It is a beautiful building and great Decor, that made it a real pleasure to stay here. Breakfast was great, providing ample choice for all kinds of needs and in a beautiful dining area. My room was clean, airy, well presented and simple but fresh clean linen added to a very comfortable sleep. Air conditioning was really welcome as it was warm at times. The staff were first class and went out of their way to help from the little touches like ambient music at night in the lounge, to printing bus timetables when needed. The night staff were also really pleasant and appeared amenable to all kinds of request from all manner of travellers I can truly say the staff at la residence are some of the friendliest and most pleasant I have ever encountered and nothing seemed to difficult to address
For me, this was not the hotel that was an issue but as a lone traveller I noted the area at times around the hotel, was one where it was wise to be watchful. Whilst this is always the case when travelling I would say I felt it here more than in other locations. I think this specific to the part of Narbonne.

Great location near the Tourist Information Center and the lively scene near the Canal de la Robine. The room was spacious and clean. Checkin was easy and the staff was helpful.

Lovely welcome, very friendly staff. Great location. Comfortable bed.
My fault but missed having a hotel bar. Shower was challenging for me as I’d hurt my ankle a few days before and as it was raised I was worried getting in and out.

the staff was great. the location excellent.
the hotel is old and needs refurbishment. the room and bathroom was very, very small. there is no lounge or restaurant. bfast served in the room on a tray and only a stool to put it on. no laundry family or any other kid of facilities for that matter.

The location of the hotel was perfect for a solo female traveler—close to tourist attractions, shopping, and restaurants. The staff was welcoming, friendly and always helpful. Reserved parking and petite déjeuner on site was a plus!

great location! close to many of Narbonne’s key tourist sights. quaint decor- edgy French classic theme with gorgeous black glass chandeliers! my room was small but comfy; en-suite bathroom with open style shower was modern and fresh. staff was very helpful and seemed happy to assist as needed. Salon on 1st
floor at the entry area was pretty and comfortable. a few main floor rooms- very helpful with my luggage filled with wine!!
dark on the street outside the hotel when I returned from dinner out.

Location
Big room and bathroom
Quiet room and away from traffic
Breakfast room felt very crowded.
Everything was individually packed or served on a small plate. Croissant or a small piece of bread in a paper bag. Two rolls of ham or two small pieces of cheese on a small saucer. A big waste in my opinion.
Parking offered is very limited. Parked in nearby garage for a night. Cost is EUR 25 per day. Second day parked in street Much much cheaper as parking from 6PM to 9AM is free as well as from noon till 2PM.

I didn’t take a breakfast
I’m sorry to say this.
I had a very pleasant day, people were very good. I caught my train on time. When I went to my wallet in my pocket oh my cash was missing. The equivalent $250 €250 in British pounds and euros. I wanted to never left my pants pocket except in my room. I don’t know how it happened. I did feel that someone had accessed my room. I would hate to endanger someone’s job so I hesitated informing La residence for the last three weeks. It took a lot of the joy out of my life and left me with grave inconvenience because I made my way on my journey. Luckily I had a credit card.
I am curious if any other of your guests had such an experience?? If so could you let me know. I have been looking forward to the hotel. Just left a very bad taste in my mouth.
