Dinner and breakfast were included and good. The rooms are very big and offer all the comfort you need.
The elevator was under construction when we arrived and we had a discussion about using the elevator of the staff instead of schlepping our suitcases three floors up. Really unnecessary!

We were moved to Steiger in Rathen which is what this review is for. Amazing Hotel in a great location and with a great restaurant. Our view and terrace overlooking the Elbe was amazing. Really nice hotel.
A little hard to get to by car and some better English instructions would help.
4.5
Very nice styled hotel. Great breakfast and dinner. Super close to the National park and various trekking trails.

Very beautiful hotel. Breakfast
was great. Nicely decorated room but a bit chilly.
Check in was fantastic. Felt welcomed.
Location not the best. Sauna area is very good but there wasn’t enough room for all of the guests.

We were welcomed with politness and smile.
We liked the staff friendliness.
The restaurant served very tasty meals cooked to the perfection.
The spa is immaculate and nicely designed which creates a very relaxing atmosphere.
2.5
Nice clean rooms and decent breakfast.
Dinner was stingy. They charged an unreasonable high amount for drinks, which were not included. I wouldn't recommend the dinner option.

Nothing particular
The smell in the rooms and the very bad breakfast. Also the restaurant for dinner wasn't great

Excellent location for daytrips around the Elbsandsteingebirge area, can reach Bastei, Kuhstall, Schrammsteine, Bad Schandau, Czech Republic in less than half an hour. Room was decent size. Although parking is technically not free, it is free from 18-9h and not very expensive the rest of the time (which tourists probably won't be there anyway).
* Stayed for a week and without any prewarning housekeeping was suspended as a corona safety measure. When we asked if we could have a room turn over after half our stay, it was denied. This maybe fine for a weekend stay, but not if you're staying a whole week (plus I'd like to add that it's less the fact that there was no housekeeping and more that its suspension wasn't mentioned anywhere, not the booking confirmation, not the property website, not on the additional confirmation and information documents that we received from the hotel beforehand). For a 4* hotel - not acceptable.
* All lights in our corridor where broken, making it really hard to get into our room, and when we mentioned this, we were told they were on a motion sensor and we just didn't understand this. The lights didn't get fixed during our stay.
* Restaurant food was so-so, definitely overpriced for what it was. No decent restaurants in the area (do NOT go to the Asian place opposite Edeka, it's the worst tasting food I have ever eaten)
* Our windows were facing the inner courtyard which staff used as a smoking area, so we'd get smoke into the room every time we opened the windows.
* There were no proper window curtains - only a semi-transparent shade-type thing that didn't even cover all the way to the bottom of the window (the bottom had millk glass instead) and blocked no light at all and that you could see through if the light was on in the room. We had the light from a stairwell shine into the room the entire night making it hard to sleep.
