The garden is very cute and they have nice swimming pool!
The vegan options at the menu are not very "creative". I don't know who came up with the idea that replacing meat with cauliflower is a good idea and something that vegans would be happy with. But this is the case in many restaurants. But who is happy to pay full price from food where the main ingridient is cauliflower? Maybe add some tofu, beans or other vegetarian proteins to the main courses to replace the meat and not just vegetables.

We got free upgrade to large suite, which was finished to very high standards. Staff friendly and professional. Good location.
There is nothing to dislike.

This was our second stay at the hotel. It was a perfect location on our trip through Germany as it is close to the motorway. The rooms are nice and breakfast is okay.
Last time we stayed the restaurant was closed and this time there was a lot of confusion about room service. We were travelling with a dog hence we couldn't physically go to the restaurant (without leaving the dog alone in a new place) On booking.com it says you can get room service and in their booklet in the room it also said we can get room service for dinner but at reception we were told that we cannot so wasn't sure which was it.

everything was brilliant not a thing wrong apart from the towels were missing from our room but the lovely staff on the front desk made sure it was sorted quickly !

Lovely old building, properly trained staff. The restaurant was nice, the food good.
The hotel seemed bit tired, mattress was old and too soft.

Treats and bowl in the room for our dog were a nice touch
It was a shame that none of the restaurants listed in description were open in the evening

Comfortable rooms which are great for cross-continent travel. Good parking arrangements and very good breakfast.

Unfortunately there were very few positive things - the staff apologized a lot, however neither did they offer a real solution (apart from a bottle of liquor which I declined), but the problems of dirty spoon and insects in the room where not solved.
On arrival, it was very cold. I put the heating system on and when I returned from the bath, there were 5 bugs in the room. I tossed them out of the window and informed the reception desk, asking for another room. They told me that they were fully booked, only a noisy room to the front side was available. I asked them to fix the heating system in the bathroom (did not work either), change the bid linens that were stained (they did so in the morning) toss out 2 spiders that I found and clean a dirty spoon that lay on a tray (really scandalous). On returning the next evening (Dortmund was quite full), one spider was still there (I was happy for the spider, but nevertheless...) and the dirty spoon was still on the tray, accompanied by a clean one. I had also paid for a double comfort room and was given a single room (which they stated was superior). This is not acceptable, and I will definitely not return on my monthly trips.

property is on the B1 (main road into the city centre). Many free parking spaces, probably was magnificently clean and well presented. Rooms are beautifully decorated with amazing views. However the staff are especially brilliant, language barrier is nonexistent and were extremely accommodating. This should be a 5 star hotel.
absolutely nothing.

Breakfast was ok.
Very cold rooms during our stay in November. Sink full
of aftershave hair.. seriously?

Even though the room looked out over the B1 (one of Europe's busiest roads, hence the "safety" rating), traffic noise was indiscernible. The breakfast was satisfactory without being extravagant. Reception staff excellent, helpful, knowledgeable, couldn't fault him.
Rather meagre choice at breakfast. If fresh eggs (fried, poached) were available, I wasn't told. Beans, mushrooms or tomatoes would have been welcome.

I like everything especially the room cleaners (i am not rich but i can tip personals who are doing there job with a heart.) but except the staff in the reception before i checked out. Shes a little rude talking to me. Next time , smile with your customers. Even if i am travelling alone, i can pay whatever extra expenses to be paid. Good that i respect your job, bit respect me as your customer or guest. Thank you.

Breakfast was good with a good selection, rooms were updated and comfortable! Sleeper sofa bed was made upon arrival!
Pillows were uncomfortable, didn't like 2 twin beds prefer a king so not necessarily a negative. Mini bar prices were a little high.

The room was spacious with a sofa, the bed was comfortable with soft pillows.
It's on the way to the airport but it's not close to it.
