Dinner in the pub was nice
Room was dusty. Shower screen flange revolting . Tiles needed cleaning Entrance stair carpet not seen a hoover since?
2.5
The breakfast bundle was quite good but it would have been nice to have it delivered on a tray instead of in plastic bags. The bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom was very tired looking and there was no hot water for a bath. The shower holder was broken so it was difficult to have a proper shower. The bottom of the shower screen was grubby and there were long dark hairs on the ledge next to the toilet. Both cups still had dirty rings in them and had to be washed again.

The staff were so lovely and friendly. Nicky befriended our 6 year old son and instantly we knew this was a great place with amazing staff…The room was perfect for a family…. We will definitely be back next year

Very friendly welcome
Breakfast was underwhelming

Location to the wedding we were attending was good. Just off the A303 so easy to find.
On entering the room it hadn’t been cleaned.. bed still unmade. Towels on floor etc. We had to wait while it was sorted out. Carpet needs replacing and shower and loo in desperate need of renovation.

Location.
Friendly staff.
Breakfast was adequate but expensive, no longer included since Marston take over.
Room cleanliness was poor, no hot water, and faulty tap.
Noisy toilet macerator pump, day and night.
Will not stay again!

Staff friendly and helpful comfortable room lovely venue
Lack of chairs in family room .Furniture in dining room not comfortable old and in some cases in need of repair . Better demarcation of space Bars/Dining room/Reception .
4.5
Clean tidy good atmosphere. All you would expect from staying in a uk pub .. Food very nice and fresh .
The ONLY small problem was a poor shower . Low pressure water ran hot and cold - odd for a electric shower .

Lovely room. Staff lovely. Comfortable. Lovely place

Staff were friendly, room was a good size, clean and a convenient location for stay whilst visiting friends. On site parking and breakfast is available if needed.
The shower didn’t have much power and dribbled out.

I believe there has just been a change of ownership the place was very quiet and I believe I was the only guest that night.
Was expecting a full english breakfast but it was just cereal and toast due to a non functioning kitchen
2.5
the girl who welcomed us was very helpfull, i believe they had just taken over the running of the premises
everything just feels a little tired and worn out , with a little TLC and some upgrades to fixtures 7 fittings it could be a really beautiful place

Comfy beds
Big room
Booked as breakfast included, but there was no cooked breakfast like in pictures. Just milk and cereal and I might be a coffee snob but the coffee was terrible. Went to maccies instead :(
2.5
Simple place to stay, spacious room, good tv and bed which meant I was able to relax comfortably when in the room.
Make more effort with the breakfast provided. Coming downstairs to see half opened cereal boxes isn't what I'd expect from somewhere I am paying to stay. It would also be good if the rooms were a bit more thoroughly cleaned as there was some mould around the toilet, and cobwebs in the room and bathroom.

location & friendly staff
A little problem with supplying meals, but this was only due to teething problems for very recent new management who went out of their way to solve the issue more than adequately

quaint little pub, very pleasant staff
rooms a bit tired, could do with a refurb soon

After checking in, we were advised about limited facilities, including no food/bar. We were not given a front door key and got locked out for an hour from 10pm to 11pm., during which we finally called 999 in desperation. They managed to find someone, who never came or called and we managed to find other accommodation with 10 minutes to spare before they closed at 11pm.. The next day we were told there were NO front door keys due to being unable to cut more as Manager ran off with all the money. The only plus was that I did get refunded. The fact that Marstons is disorganised and the Manager ditched it all without warning is actually not the clients' problem.
See our review. Also, am sceptical about this review being made public.

Large room, comfortable bed
4.0
The check in staff were absolutely lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Generous size room. Water in bath ran instantly hot.
No chair (either comfy chair or even a dressing table stool) provided in the room. The bathroom was run down and tired, and in need of some TLC. Little things like no loo brush and a broken loo roll holder. The windows are single pane and did not seem to shut fully. Noise from the local bypass is apparent, especially when the windows are fully open.
