Excellent location in Bad Durrheim. Easy walk to good restaurants, Kurpark, Solemar, farmers market, and more. Very helpful staff. I had a medical emergency (not related to hotel facilities) requiring leaving Hotel to travel to Freiburg University hospital after one night. Staff waived any cancellation fees for our booked 2nd and 3rd nights. Also, our room was as booked, very quiet, backed to wooded area behind hotel, and was peaceful. Rooms were simple but comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet was good. We would return especially if we could get room backing to trees away from frontage of roads.
Just FYI, there is Nepresso in room but you pay for coffee that you buy at bar/restaurant. Bathroom for a family room was tiny, as was the shower.

Good location nice views. Breakfast was good. Convenient parking.
Room was extremely tired. Only coffee machine in room , no cups or spoons and you had to oay for coffee pods. Weird double doors on rooms, place felt deserted and run diwn in most areas.

(Free) Parking avaliable in front and on the siide of Hotel as promished.
Breakfast was OK.
Checking was simple and quick - Staff was waiting for us.
Room was small.
Line of sight in room to TV was only possible in half of the room. TV could not be viewed from everywhere in the room. Shelves were in the way.
Room had many items broken: Telephone connection plug, door chain holder, chair and dirty curtains, etc.
Restaurant signs but no restaurant! Bistro, bar and breakfast room but no restaurant!
Bistro / Bar food - Toasted bread sandwitch bread was toasted black.

Great quiet room with a balcony, amazing housekeeping service, central location 3 minutes walk to Solemar thermes, free parking. Nespresso coffee machine in the room, very comfortable bed. And the access to Solemar thermes still included with the city tax.
It was our 2 stay in this hotel, and we were shocked that now the guests have to buy coffee capsules, sugar, etc. There is a coffee machine in the room, but no cups, no sugar, no tea bags, NOTHING! To buy at the reception, 5 Euro per 4 capsules!!! And no spare bath towels either! Also to buy, 5 euro per towel to use!!! Even for Best Western Rewards members! Every Best Western we went before, offers a tea/coffee set. And because of this new policy in a Sure hotel, at the arrival we had to go to Kaufland supermarket to buy all these, instead of relaxing at the room with a cup of coffee!!! The breakfast is ok, but lacks of inspiration. No pancakes, no smoked salmon, no freshly cut fruits, only industrial fruit salade or whole fruits. This hotel used to be our first choice in Bad Durrheim, but now we will have a look at the concurrents.

A place to relax in a small village. Great hotel with polite staff and clean rooms.
There is absolutely nothing I didn’t like. Everything was above my expectations.

good location, free parking right behind the hotel, very comfortable bed, clean and spacious room, balcony, fresh, tasty and excellent breakfast choices, free water upon arrival, overall good value for money
elevator is rather small (2 people is fine, 3 is already a crowd) and only goes to the 4th floor, if you have a room on the 5th floor you have to take the stairs to the last level, bathroom was a bit snug

Cleanliness & location was good. Breakfast was decent
Post check out experience was very bad. I forgot one thing in the room while checking out. I kept following up with them via emails, phone calls on daily basis but they didn't bother to respond to my simple query. Absolutely No or Zero feedback from the hotel staff. I mean this is not the way to treat your customers. This left a bad impression about the hotel.

Nice selection for breakfast.
It would be desired to re-introduce the service (availability of the receptionist) for guests at the hotel reception in the evening hours.

Good breakfast and nice comfortable beds. Little outdated but clean

The location is great, between the Kurpark and the downtown pedestrian area with cafes and restaurants. Breakfast: very substantial, with many regional options. The room was quite spacious and the bed was comfortable. We booked a Comfort room, with a balcony which we were able to use in the good weather - although it was not cleaned during our stay. We liked the old fashioned double door which helped the soundproofing. The receptionist was friendly and helpful but totally overworked and the only member of staff we saw except for the breakfast crew.
Overall the hotel was disappointing. There was no safe in the room and little storage space. One free bottle of water was supplied daily but this was only minibar-size,, not generous for two people in midsummer. There was a large and well-appointed bar/lounge area, which was spacious enough to handle Covid restrictons, but it was closed - a notice referred us to the bar at the neighbouring hotel about 200 metres away, which is apparently under the same ownership. No minibar or bar facilities, so no possibility of an evening drink at the hotel. It certainly did not live up to our previous Best Western bookings. The overworked Reception was apparently responsible for both hotels and it was extremely difficult to contact the Best Western by phone or e-mail; in fact I called the local tourist office to make sure the hotel was actually open.
