Friendly staff, tasty breakfast and dinner, very good location.
Room 2 is directly above the entrance and the bar, so don't expect a good sleep (the pub closes at 1am (at least on Friday and Saturday) ). Probably better in the other rooms.

Lovely welcome.
The Sandwiches are delicious 😋

The location was just what we wanted
The room was grubby. Although the food looked and tasted good we both ended up with stomach upsets and if the room was anything to go by the kitchen may not have been much different. We were told there was free parking but there were only five places in front of the hotel

loved the view of the sea and the castle from our room
breakfast wasn’t very warm and we weren’t told what we could have or given the option of more toast

Location brilliant.
Room a bit on the small side.
Breakfast great.
obviously being worked on, could do with a really deep clean right through rooms, restaurant especially.

The location was lovely, right on the water and we had a good view on it. Parking is right outside if you can get it and snowdonia national park isn’t far away at all.
We hate saying anything bad but this place left us feeling like we’d wasted the best part of £200…You could feel the wood frames under the mattress, the curtains in the room were on bay windows and were about 3 feet off the floor so provided no warm/noise or light benefits. There was a 2cm gap on the top of the main doorframe, and the toilet door didn’t lock as it was broken. The walls were paper thin and we could hear next door having a phone conversation, the whole place is very dated and desperately need updating. For the price this was very disappointing so much so that we considered leaving after 1 night and trying to get into the Travelodge nearby but didn’t want to waste the £87.50 per night. The staff were nice and the breakfast was okay but nothing special. The worst thing of all is the macerating toilet which was incredible loud, it went on when you flushed the loo, turned the tap on to wash your hands or every 2/3mins when in the shower. We could hear not only ours but also everyone else’s.
We won’t be returning.

Excellent value for money in a historic place.
Budget accommodation
Very friendly,helpful staff .
Excellent , generous full English breakfast included in already good price.
Central location next to the castle , views across Menai Straits and near to local walks and amenities.
Beautiful views from outside pub .
Didn’t take our dogs but allows dogs.
Noisy toilet and water drainage (some kind of saniflo operation)
Limited plug sockets, only 3 and one in use for toilet, one in use for kettle and lamp in other one made it difficult to charge phone without pulling out furniture and removing lamp or kettle.
If both double sockets in use would be enough.
Some noise from other rooms mainly footfall.

Beautiful location and very eclectic bedrooms! thankfully we had the big room at the front. Breakfast was beautiful and staff really friendly.
Cold and decor very dated. Needs updating. Curtains didn’t go to the floor. Bathroom smaller than a postage stamp and toilet/sink very noisy. Could be a real gem. Rang to tell the owner en route and said we would like to eat (4 hr journey). arrived and the Chef was going home at 7pm. Offered to make us fish & chips on Sunday night… no thanks. Ended up losing out on £100 food/drink bill that went to another local eatery only too welcoming (Black Boy Inn). Not the greatest business model but I appreciate it is out of season.

Location. Breakfast.
The place is run down. It needs a complete revamp. Tv didn't work . wallpaper coming off. bed side light had melted and did not work. Shower had black mould around tray. We had muddy dogs footprints on the duvet, we don't have a dog. We didn't complain as the staff were trying hard to be helpfully.

Beautiful location. Walking distance of everywhere. Helpful staff Gorgeous breakfast, the bacon was like gammon slices . Bed and pillows really comfy.. Nice white towels. Tea coffee biscuits n toiletries provded. Lovely homely historic building quirky.. enjoyed our stay got out n about despite the weather. Everything you could want or need and for price exceptional
Macerator system so very noisey every time loos or water passed through them. Was cold as heating not on until asked. But was put on straight away.cant blame them with fuel costs. .could do with some repair/renovation in parts but probably listed so hands tied. Just an observation but enjoyed overall.

Good breakfast, good views from window and friendly staff at breakfast
We arrived at about for o'clock and the bar was grim, to be polite, with the seats near the fire, which was overflowing with ash, being full of stains and marks etc.
The whole immediate experience was very poor albeit when we returned after tea some effort had been made to clean up.
