Cozy country place with lots of outdoor space - gorgeous views from the garden!
Stone buildings were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much of an ask and even gave me decaf tea when asked with fresh milk.
The drain in my en suite smelt but only in the bathroom even with the door open.
The blinds had a chunk missing off the top slat - although it did not hinder privacy (and the very top slat is loose).
Touch lamps - but look like wooden ones so I initially thought it wasn’t working

Good location and very rural.
There was nothing that we didn't like.

The site of the place was great right in the middle of The Isle of Purbeck so very convenient for the local attractions I visited. The staff very friendly making you feel welcome on arrival and also the facilities like The Sawmill Restaurant serving great food at dinner and breakfast which was great. The scenery around the place was picturesque and beautiful.
There was nothing I didn't like or hated.

I think I got a very good deal for bed and breakfast on Booking.com, and everything was fantastic. The location was perfect for walking and exploring the area - with great walks along the coast path, along the ridgeway to Kimmeridge, and also to Corfe. The view from the garden across to Corfe Castle was lovely, and the breakfast was great and very filling.
Nothing to find fault with on my trip.

Located perfectly for my walking break in an area I know well enough. Quirky venue having being adapted from stables or farm buildings gave it an interesting character.
Very little, it was as I expected. I would personally have had a double bed but none were available at the time of booking so am not used to a single bed, but that's not a fault of the venue.

Byres room very well appointed with a view over the garden.
Other guests noisy dogs in the dining area at breakfast

Location, excellent food pub nearby
Hotel double charged us and I needed to phone to get refund. Hotel charge was cheaper than booking.com so will not be using booking.com again without cheaking the direct price

Staff were very friendly and the room was spacious and clean. It had the addition of a fridge although I did have to turn this off overnight as I am a light sleeper. Perhaps the fridge could be in the upstairs sitting room. A beautiful location with views of the countryside and Corfe Castle from the garden. Nice restaurant with good food and breakfast freshly cooked which is so much nicer than a buffet.

Kingston Country Courtyard was a lovely place to stay. The beds were one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They also had gluten free options for all meals. It exceeded our expectations and were very dog friendly.

Breakfast was delicious
4.3
The staff were probably the friendliest I've come across. Receptionists were extremely warm and welcoming.
Breakfast (gluten free) was superb.
My room was huge and had a separate bedroom for our 10 year old.
The outside of the property is tired and unkempt. There are weeds, old wood and a big static caravan. I was seriously worried when we arrived but I needn't have. A bit of time and money spent on the approach would make a HUGE difference. First impressions really do count.

The room had all main facilities as expected, the breakfast was great!
The room we had was next to a boiler room which made it unbearable at night as you could hear it going off every so often,we had to turn the heating and the towel rail off at night as it was far too hot and open the window and as it was raining/snowing was a nightmare! The prices for dinner was very much in our opinion over priced for what you got,you had to sit on metal chairs which was very uncomfortable, they state they have a bar but just wasn't comfortable sitting there as you would be sitting with the guests that where eating and once again sitting on uncomfortable metal chairs!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
Loved everything about our stay nothing not to like

Breakfast was great
The sound travels quite a lot in the rooms, so you can hear people quite a lot like the bathroom extractor, coughing etc

Location for coastal walks and visiting family nearby.
Excellent accommodation maintained by caring and helpful staff.
The food was good too!
Great if you're a dog owner & enjoy the walks. We weren't aware that dogs were welcomed when we booked.
Not troubled by dogs being in the restaurant, but there were lots of them that took a dislike to each others' proximity, which made it a bit noisy when they barked at each other.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Relaxed environment. Super breakfast, comfortable bed, and lovely location. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would return.
Our first room didn't meet our expectations...room a little dark, matress felt thin and no TV in actual bedroom. We were given another room without any fuss, and this was bright, warm, with plenty of hot water with a comfortable bed and TV which could be watched from the bed or comfy chair when we needed to crash out after a long walk.

Very friendly staff, excellent service throughout.
Superb breakfast
Dinner also great, excellent food and friendly efficient service.
Lovely location with easy parking
Large comfortable bed
Cold in our room, but it was a particularly cold weekend.

The staff were all friendly and so welcoming. The hotel was beautiful, clean and in the perfect location, with a 5 min walk down to the pub and driving distance to every thing we wanted to visit.
We had a three course meal on our first night in the restaurant and it was to die for, great value for money and it was perfect after a few drink to have a 30 second walk back to our room. The breakfast was lovely too and just what we needed before our day of adventure. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay and can’t wait to come back again soon!!

First, a caveat: our stay at the property was only intended to be two nights, in which time we hoped to sight-see in the locale. In theory this was fine, even in early January. In practice, very bad weather intervened, and we - with other guests - eventually took to our rooms. This undoubtedly affected our experience negatively.
The property is located on a hilltop close to Corfe Castle, and boasts views of the site (not from our room, and pretty much invisible even outside.). The nearest town is Wareham, a 20 minute drive away. Reception was very good, helpful and attentive. We booked for dinner, though a menu was not offered.
Room was spacious, but the bed, though comfortable, was vast - two single beds made into one. Underfloor heating kept the space warm, but there was a draught, which was unfortunate in the howling wind.
Plenty of hot water, though the bathroom was a actually a wet room (see below).
We pre-booked breakfast, which was very good and perfectly adequate: continental or cooked breakfasts were available, with a la carte extras (untried). The property also offers room service (also untried).
The wet room was exactly that: overhead shower, loo and heated towel rail. It was hard to keep water directional, which meant that the loo was covered in spray. Some rethinking might be useful.
Our room, whilst warm, was overheated by the second evening, and the bad weather prevented use of door or window ventilation.
Dinner on the first evening was unfortunate: we both ordered from the interesting (if a little pricey) vegetarian menu and the quantities were plentiful. However, one of our choices arrived steamed but otherwise uncooked. We complained and were not charged for this.
