The location is very good, very close to the central square of Portaria (by foot). Also, very close to the bus stop, if you are coming to Portaria by bus. There is also parking space if you come by car.
The breakfast was great, it is not a buffet, but you are served with many options.
The view from the where the breakfast is served is very nice.
The room was very small and the bathroom was also very small. There was no airconditioning or fan, so it was a bit hot sometimes.

Breath taking view from the room and the small cafe within the property. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, creating feel like home vibes. Perfect homemade pie for breakfast prepared by our host Zoi, who was so kind and helpful accommodating all our exceptional needs. Definitely recommend and will be back

Very big room, with bedroom and living room. Great view of Volos and the sea from the balcony. The breakfast was very good and the owner is very friendly and gave us tips about the places we were going to visit afterwards. Just a few minutes walking from the center square of Portaria. The hotel has parking but it is also possible to park next to the main road.

The host was kind and helpful, very accommodating. The place had everything we needed. Great breakfast, great location and beautiful and authentic design inside and out.
The kids slept on an opening sofa bed which was a bit squeaky.

The owner was a very nice and kind lady. Probably the main reason for such a high review score.
The location is good, within walking distance to anything you would like to visit in Portaria.
Relatively cheap.
Large room.
Pet friendly.
Nice view from the café.
No credit card prepayment is needed.
We took the Classic Double Room with Spa Bath, which was not working. This wouldn't be a big issue if we hadn't reserved the room specifically for this functionality (always nice to use, after hiking for hours).
The fridge was not working, unfortunately, we only understood it the next day (it was making noise, just not cooling). This was an issue for us.
The bath is barely usable for anyone above 1,70m.
Several small things were broken/ unusable (towel holders, toilet top).
The windows "view"
Maybe the other rooms are better but I do not think that this room should be eligible for rental.

When we arrived in the evening the hotel was closed! Although I had received a booking confirmation before! Fortunately I had the possibility to check my emails in front of the building and found an email from the host: "Good evening. Unfortunately I can not serve you because I am not in the hotel. Thank you very much." No phone call, just that! So we had to start searching for another place to stay. Never in more than 7 seven years using Booking.com has happened anything like that to me.Really disappointing.

We had a pleasant stay at Archontiko Pantou. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was diverse and delicious. We even got a better room with a beautiful view. The room was spacious and clean.
Some of the facilities in the room need to be fixed (shower cabin and curtain rails).

The room it was a bit noisy and the bathroom/ shower was not in a very good standard

Furniture was old, but clean and cozy. Super "warm" And helpful personnel and owner of the hotel.
Fireplace... Had a problem. Maybe for such a small room is not a good option.

location is great; staff is great; breakfast, the view from the bed is unforgettable!
we had a small issue finding the address by waze but we’ve been helped by the host! Also the shower could be updated but really, it didn’t matter compared to the feeling and sensing of the room.

The location was really good, Zoe the hostess was very nice and sensitive to our needs, we needed breakfast earlier than the regular time and she was very kind and accommodating. The views from the rooms are outstanding is like sitting in a postcard.
The room facilities are slightly old and not very functional. The shower is super uncomfortable and clumsy to use, the bathroom is very tiny and the door didn't close. The bed was very hard. But overall you can tell that a lot of thought has been put into details and decor.

Super nice welcome, Great Hospitality! We got the best room with a stunning view over Volos bay. Lovely breakfast, charming room and house. Portaria is a sweet mountain village with taverns and a good starting point to make day trips on Pelion. We definitely recommend to stay!

The responsible lady was very polite and helpful. Very nice person.
Very small place to stay and the bathroom was even smaller so we could “pass on sideways”. There were a lot of small mosquitoes in the bathroom. Not comfortable at all. There was no closet, not even hanger for our clothes. The light was really low which didn’t help the situation of a small room. Moreover the ceiling was wooden so when people were walking on the floor above we had the impression that the ceiling will be collapsed.

Nice and clean room. The view from there is lovely.
The breakfast is really yummy. You should try the greek yogurt with honey!

This hotel is SO charming! My whole family, even my dog, is in live with this magnificent house! Portaria has wonderful atmosphere, very calm and relaxing. The property itself has a “view to kill”. I want to thank our hostess for incredible hospitality! We truly are your fans now:)
