Greece as It Was

For those of us who find beauty in simplicity and quiet kindness, Patras Rooms hits all the buttons. Comfortable, well-loved room, a proprietor who makes sure we can find and get in our room at 5:00 am, and a step away from the harbour road, and a welcoming Cafe.

That our stay on Fourni was so short...

Beautiful island

Fourni as an island is wonderful. For the money this place was a good central location not far from where you get off the ferry. It has new air conditioning, it was clean and well decorated and breakfast was very good. Beds OK a little firm for my preference. Host was very pleasant and accommodation. It was basic which is OK for a few days.

Very small shower. Very small balcony. No sea view as such more side sea view. Also no tea or coffee making facilities.

Superb

Just a short walk (500m) from getting off the ferry. The rooms are set on the sea front, just behind their own small taverna which is pleasant and shady. A very good breakfast is served here, at extra cost. Everyone I met at the rooms was friendly and helpful. My room was clean, tidy, quiet and cool and had all the facilities I needed. I would stay at Patras Rooms again if I visit Fourni.

The balcony in my room was small and the garden view was just a large yard dominated by a huge tree. Not a view at all. But I didn't go to Fourni to sit on a balcony and look at a garden, so this was no issue for me.

Great Location and Fantastic Hospitality on Fourni

Patra's Rooms is perfectly located for everything and a short walk from the port. The hospitality from Dimitris was wonderful and I was made to feel at home. This is great basic accommodation perfect for the island hopper. Their little cafe at the front is a great place to people watch and they also do a magnificent choice of desserts to have with your coffee. Fourni is a wonderful island and it is easy to get about using Francesca the taxi driver - definitely one of the islands characters!
