Very friendly, helpful staff. A good location

Good location right in the centre of everything. Good value for an overnight stay. Clean which was a plus. Very friendly staff.

As expected a bit noisy, BEDS very uncomfortable. Could do with a decent mattress cover. Would prefer a glass water glass, not plastic cups, and a metal coffee spoon not wood.

Nice convenient old Pub accommodation

It was comfortable, clean and priced well.

As the only access it via stairs, no lift (understandably due to the age of the building) it was a bit of an issue for me with a knee injury, but the nice guy in the bar did offer to take my bag up for me..I only had a back pack, but a suit case would have been more of an issue for me.

Good hotel that potentially could be great.

The food and vibe were amazing. The staff were friendly. Room clean, comfy bed.

A very small, basic room with an unpleasant smell. The window to our room opened up to an outdoor smoking area. The smell was bad enough in the room but when you opened the window to try and get some fresh air the smell was worse. When it's quiet with not many bookings why put people in a room next to the smoking area which also happened to be the furthest from the amenities, doesn't make sense.

Location location. The Lakes is the jewel in the crown at The Entrance and it performs well!

Very basic rooms but clean and tidy and air-conditioned. Good shared facilities conveniently located either side of rooms. Overall well maintained and managed. The hotel has great food that is fairly reasonably priced. Good music on regularly and the LOCATION is unbeatable!

Clean comfortable good value for a basic room.

The overnight stay in The Lakes Hotel couldn’t have been better, basic which matches price. The only staff member I can speak very highly of is the bottle shop attendant on the Sunday morning shift. If he didn’t appear I would have been locked out of my room for a minimum of one hour.

Left the door key in the room whilst going to the bathroom, locked out. Guest dialled an after hours number which did not answer.

It was okay I needed a bed and it was cheap

The noise from downstairs was loud banging I couldn’t sleep for 4 hours and was tired The bathroom didn’t have a lock The light didn’t cover the shower so I couldn’t close the door as I couldn’t see The parking out back wasn’t clearly signed

A good place to stay, for what we needed.

Nice, big room. Lots of space.

We stayed on a Saturday night and there was a DJ playing downstairs. It was very noisy. But we appreciated the ear plus that the hotel provided.

Amazing Location, everything was accessible from the hotel right next to the shops & restaurants .

The facilities were very clean, outside the room was the terrace which had a great view, you can even see the water. The shared bathroom was very clean and a good size.

Maybe just the loud sounds that were coming the bar.

good location but a sleepless night

the location was good

the noise from the pub kept us awake all night. our room also had glass doors so the light from the hallway shone through. the windows were grotty and the ceiling was only partially painted.

Very good place to stay if your exploring the city

Location is perfect for going around the city just by walking. Parking is free

Just a bit of noise from AC or exhaust but I believe I slept fairly well. Earplugs was supplied.

Staff were great.

The bathroom is separate to the rooms and there is only 1 bathroom for over 20 rooms and it is down the end of a very long hallway. I wasn't made aware of the bathroom situation until in my room.
