Almost nothing
It looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in years. It also felt very unsafe being above a pub which wasn’t mentioned in the booking outline.

I was very disappointed with this place. I have stayed in other backpackers for this price and they were much much better. The room was incredibly hot and uncomfortable. There was only one powerpoint which powered the fan, so I had to buy a power board with multiple charging points. My bed had ants in it and my towel had a small blood stain on it. The overall cleanliness of the bathroom was quite underwhelming as well.

nothing
as you can see by the photos the door handle was broken so couldn’t access the balcony the sink had rusty taps, the blind was hanging off the door dirty fridge, no cutlery or dishes, the laundry room outside was disgusting and next to rubbish bins and to finish a man was using the ladies toilet making me stand outside the toilet to make sure no men went in there while she was showering

There was very little to like about this place, but you pay for what you get
It was very dirty place to stay probably the worst place we have stayed in Australia and we have been traveling for quite awhile. The bathrooms were basically flooded, there was a sink in our room that didn't work and was full of dirt, there was a compressor outside our windows that kept going off at night which was very loud. The kitchen was also very dirty with no cuterly. Would not recommend staying here!!!

I did not have breakfast but I did have a steak dinner and it was very nice and very yummy excellent food.
Facilities leaked a little and the tap or water in room looked as if it ran dirty other than that great all round.

Location is decent, that’s where it stops.
Awful from start to finish. No one at reception on arrival, when she did finally arrive , there was absolutely no customer service, should’ve been a sign of what’s to come. Room was absolutely filthy with cigarette butt on the floor, an absolute state of a bin and dust from what i can only assume the 80’s. If you want any air, good luck. Ceiling fan is falling off and your only ventilation comes from a door onto a communal verandah, so safe… Bathroom utterly filthy too and don’t get me started on the kitchen. Mouldy food in the fridge and milk that expired 3 months prior. To finish things off, a man (who appears to be a long term resident) roams the halls yelling at all hours, leaving my partner feeling unsafe using the facilities at night.
We didn’t expect the ritz, but these people have clearly given up caring. And this is coming from a couple of backpackers who have travelled vastly in budget hostels. AVOID AT ALL LENGTHS!

Well nothing got stolen so that’s a plus. And it was available when nothing else was (I did not heed the warning bells).
Also - nobody died (well, none of our crew)
Where do I start?! It’s a backpackers I know, it’s cheap I know but really I have quite a worldly knowledge of such places, and this really scrapes the bottom of the barrel in terms of hygiene, facilities and staff competence.
From the initial check in at 5pm where we were handed 2 keys for 2 rooms that on inspection, had not been cleaned (yet) to the overall grubbiness of the rooms (after ‘cleaning’! - dusty surfaces, peeling ceilings, non- draining sinks and stained bedding), to the morning cigarette smoke wafting in through the windows (if you were lucky enough to have a window that opens), to the bathrooms that floods when the shower curtain moves, and to the true horror of the obviously sustained filth of the kitchen, this place certainly created unforgettable memories.
Now all this depends on your tolerances, as there were some fellas there (the aforementioned smokers who filled the ashtray to bursting - incidentally the ashtray was safe as it was chained down) who looked like they were right at home. That said, they were wearing hi-vis and work boots.
Also - funny this, this place has a ‘tin can bay backpackers’ sign as you walk up the stairs. On google, this is listed as permanently closed. Also on google - ‘tin can bay budget accommodation’ by which this place now goes, cannot be found. Once again another warning I chose to ignore.
This place is purely a pub stay - had I known it was above a pub then I would not have booked. Nothing good can come from Staying in a pub motel.. unless you like wearing your hi-vi after work and sitting smoking duries and filling the bin up with empty tinnies all night.

Amazing Position.
Very Outdated. TV connection not working so Tv not working at all. Needs a New Hand Basin in the Room. Cheers Wayne

Clean linen
Everything else. The room looked like it had never been clean. The bathroom floor was matted with hair. There was an old soap in the shower. There was pee on the toilet seat. And the bedside tables were dirty also, not just picking up dust when I wiped them over with a tissue.
Most disgusting stay ever. Even for a former backpacker place, a cheap pub stay that it is now. Would not pass an inspection that's for sure.
Also the address on booking.com is incorrect. Frustrating the local hotel owners.
