Good location, the owner made earlier breakfast for us.
Hot in the rooms and hotel, ventilation didn't work

Excellent hotel! There are plenty of free parking spaces around the hotel. 5 minutes walk from the city center. There is a supermarket next to the hotel. I recommend.
Breakfast lacks hot items.

This is a simple hotel, with high standards of cleanliness. Bedroom clean but lacking in storage space. beds comfortable.
Good-quality continental breakfast cold buffet (no hot food) provided in a communal dining area. Food is fresh (including bread and pastries) and good choice provided. Filter coffee provided on every table in a thermos jug - nice touch avoiding need to queue.
In the evening, 'honesty box' system for drinks worked well and very cost-effective compared with bar prices. Located a short walk from town centre.
Eccentric reception arrangements. Reception opens at 10am and closes at 6pm, so out-of-hours arrangements need to be much clearer for evening arrival. We made several efforts to obtain this information in advance, which was eventually provided the day before arrival. The arrangement actually worked well, so just need to be communicated better

Good location, good breakfast on the first day, when we went there earlier and they hadn't run out of so many things, and the coffee actually tasted fresh.
We also liked the good value 'mini bar' in the common room.
We arrived at breakfast at 9:20am (breakfast is from 8-10am). We understand, that due to Covid measures, there was a wait to enter the breakfast room.
However, what was not acceptable was that they had run out of many things and not replaced them, such as eggs, brown bread, many of the cheese products. When we asked if these were going to be replaced, we were just told "all gone". This is not really acceptable when we arrived at breakfast 40 minutes before the end time. The coffee was also not good quality today, like it was stewed and had been sat there for well over an hour. It was not fresh at all.
The receptionist at check out didn't show particularly good customer service skills, it as almost like he was doing us a favour by letting us check out. There was no effort to ask how our stay was or any attempt to be pleasant. Just "you must pay" (which obviously we were absolutely aware of, as it was our sole reason for being at the reception!)

Room was large and clean. You could tell that the room was sanitized before we checked in. It was a short walk from the Schloss, restaurants, and icecream. The breakfast was also better than what I expected.

The location was good, easy walk to the town for dinner. Breakfast ok. The room was small but comfortable. Excellent value for the price.
Although we left after breakfast, we were unable to check out. Reception was closed. This resulted in wasted time trying to find personnel who ultimately arranged that an invoice be sent to us. More time wasted trying to make an international payment. We suggest that payment be completed at the hotel at the time of check in to avoid this problem in the future.

One night only but a very good hotel with ceramics on display. We arrived slightly late for booking in but owner made himself available to book us in. Very clean hotel with good breakfast. Would stay again.
