Possibly the most beautiful place we have ever stayed in. There was nothing we did not absolutely love from the wonderful welcome to the sensational breakfast, lovely cool prisitine room and fabulous pool.
Nothing to dislike

Breakfast was delicious, homemade with eggs included which was rare in our 4 week stay in Italy. Owners were lovely and helpful.
I have thought long and hard about this as this Masseria is so highly rated (hence I booked for 5 nights). However some of this feedback would have helped my decision. We stayed at 6 similarly priced Masseria in Puglia over 3 weeks so feel we have a good comparison (in fact this was the most expensive). Only body wash is provided (no shampoo/ moisturiser like all others). Zero wifi in the suite, and mobile reception is poor in the general area. We are from Australia so can’t rely on our European mobile plan. This made planning our days without internet very hard. We had a lot of crawling bugs in our room. I raised it twice, very unpleasant. Also a lot of mosquitos. Worse than anywhere over our trip. Breakfast starts relatively late at 8.30am. Hosts did offer us picking up some cake options that were ready earlier, but when we got there early one morning nothing was ready. I mention this because in peak season getting a ‘spot’ on the popular beaches can be tough, you need to get there early and it is a min 30 min drive away. All other Masseria we stayed at were 8am. Our suite happened to be located at the rear of the property, we found it dark. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and is not a double size (in case that is important to you). Looking back at our booking it describes the room as having a double and a single bed plus sofa bed. We did not get a single bed. I think if you were located in a room off the main courtyard your experience might be better than ours was. The immediate locale/suburb around the Masseria is not inviting, very stark, not rural (not much the hosts can do about that but worth mentioning). Compare to our other Masseria stays this was over priced. I am sure the hosts will write something back on this review (as they did when someone else gave some honest feedback).

Breakfast was beyond excellent, so generous, and absolutely delicious! The location was good, we had day trips to the beach, Lecce and Gallipoli by car. We could walk to a local pizzeria and supermarket (15-20mins). Our hosts were divine! We stayed with our 6 month old and they provided a bath, high chair and a cot was offered also. We felt very welcome. Thank you so much!

Huge room, exceptional atmosphere, beautiful decoration.
Convenient location if you are traveling by car.
Calm, quiet location close to attractions.
Excellent and varied breakfast, everything is very tasty and prepared from locally grown products.
The only downside is the very weak Wi-Fi. It could only be connected to at the exit of the apartments, and in the evening we all crowded at the door to catch the connection. From some hour until the morning there was no Internet at all.

Absolutely beautiful place and Gabreille and Simone were amazing hosts. Simones breakfasts were amazing! Comfortable room done in a traditional way but with all the mod cons. Wouldn't know we were near a city and main road, very peaceful. Perfect for exploring the surrounding area. Could not recommend it more.
