Relatively basic room (no air conditioning) but fine. OK with bicycles. Useful alternative to a fiesta-exhausted Cardona. Surprisingly quiet given that on a moderately busy road.
Not a criticism, more a comment - relatively isolated - 5-10 min. walk along main road to petrol station (has a bar & good views of Cardona) or 20 min. walk along main road to La Coromina.

Very clean and beds comfortable. We were happy to stay a little further away from Cardona itself as we had a car.

Clean and rural. 10 minute drive to the old town of Cardona. Valentine was friendly and the room had big windows that open

At first it was hard to find the street - GPS didn't help. But then I spotted the hotel all alone on a hill. I was looking for a place to stay overnight between Barcelona and Zaragoza. Never heard of Cardona but it has quite a colorful history and some stunning sights including a salt mine, caves and a castle. Worth a visit. My single room was small but fine for one person. Clean and comfortable with a fan to keep me cool. I was able to park onsite under some trees near my room which helped keep my van cool during a very hot summer in Spain. The grounds were well kept, the one member of the staff I met spoke English. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Would definitely stay again for a longer period. Looks like a good area to go hiking and exploring.
No elevator so had to haul the luggage up a few flights of stairs. Not a negative, just a warning if you're traveling with a lot of heavy bags.

Good location, spacy room. Clean. Good bathroom. Very friendly and helpful host.
Very thin walls and doors, so the loud neighboors from the other room of the hotel were disturbing.

Friendly, helpful, well run, clean and modern
No local facilities bar the restaurant at the petrol station which closed at 5pm. Otherwise it’s a 5 minute drive into town

I enjoyed my stay in Hostal Violí, it was peaceful and I had a good rest. The bed is comfortable, and the room has everything you need. The host was really helpful and kind, from the moment I called him to get to Coromina, to my departure. He helped me to call and change the time of visit to Salt mountain when I was in pain, and gave me painkiller so I could get to Cardona on time for next appointment.
I would definitely recommend El Violí :)
