Large and airy plenty of room to get about .Quirky as up steps to kitchen down to sitting room .On main road but quiet at night as set back .plenty of parking .
Bed was amazing so comfortable and clean mattress clean pillows clean bedding 10/10 best bed ever .
Excellent location to exploring the area and next to shop .
Would have been nice to have been left 2 tea bags and a pint of milk ,I know it's so close to shop but ...one tea bag !!
A bit more china would also be good .
We found the settee uncomfortable but that's because we are older .

The lodge was an excellent getaway for myself and partner plus our two pups. It was like home from home. We went exploring down by the river and made visits to Elan Valley. Highly recommend Evans Plaice if your after fish n chips. About a five min drive from the cottage. Will definitely be returning.
There wasn't nothing not to like

The cottage was perfect for our family. we stayed in the Middleton cottage and the cottage gave us plenty of space.
Some normal comforts were missing, such as salt and pepper which sounds petty but there wasn’t much else wrong

Easy check in using the key safe. Warm, very spacious cottage just for 2 people and a large bedroom with a good sized very comfortable bed. It was also very clean. Parking was off road and just outside the cottage we stayed in.
Unfortunately the private hot tub wasn't working. We didn't know about this until our 2nd night when we went to use it. My wife messaged the owner who said there had been an issue on handover and an engineer should have been out but hadn't. I wish we'd been advised on arrival as my wife had been outside in her swimsuit getting cold trying to find out why the hot tub wasn't working.
However, we were given a small food hamper delivered the following morning as an apology. We were also allowed to extend our stay and departed late evening on our departure day as the cottage wasn't booked the following day. We were really disappointed as it was booked for my birthday and my wife has fibromyalgia so the hot tub would have really benefitted her at this time of year.

the Hot Tub till I,got in to it on The Friday late I thought this is not working wright I text the owner I got a text back,to,say it’s still ok to use it and did not hear anything till she text to say she was calling an Engineer out to look at the Hot Tub and that’s the last I heard I,did say there was a few other bits not wright she said she would come and see me the next day but never come I see the cleaner and asked her if the lady, that the cottages belong to was coming to see e she said she had been I said about the hot tub she made me feel it was my fault because she said it was working on the Friday I went back and told my husband and cried I never see the owner it says on the paper work,in,the cottage to call, the owner if you had any concerns to call her
the bathroom was really damp and the frizzier box was being close with a piece of wood I just wonted the owner to know that I felt that was not wright heath and safety wise and the fact the own never come to see what the problem
was there was know meet and greet you where text the code to put in to get the keys and that was that

The cottage exceeded my expectations! It was perfect and well-equipped with beautiful furnishings with a homely ambience. No stone had been left unturned by the host to ensure that you had everything you could possibly think of from beautiful throws to board games and lots of utensils and dishes in the kitchen. This holiday will definitely be a fond memory for my family and we look forward to visiting again ❤️

Amazing area with a lovely walk by the river, we was so lucky to be able to use the hot tub so that was a bonus on my birthday! Very clean place the view was amazing overall so pleased with it!
The only thing for us was as we had an elderly dog and we had to carry her up the stairs in the lodge but she enjoyed getting a bit more tlc than the other dog so she didn’t mind!

quiet(ish) and you can walk along the river right out of the back door. close to garage for bits and pieces, no alcohol though so if you want wine/a few beers you won’t get them here, a trip to the closest town is needed. plenty of private parking and totally dog friendly.
could hear the upstairs apartment walking around and moving furniture and even their voices as the talked. we had the apartment with the hot tub but didn’t use at it wasn’t clean….sand/bits in the bottom and seating area. the outside could do with up updating as there are big cracks and lots of paintwork missing.

The property was ideal for what we wanted. Close to Buith where we were exhibiting at Wonderwool Wales and great for exploring the area in our extended stay. The walk along the river was beautiful with access direct from the property this was ideal for walking our dog.
There was nothing that could be improved.

The cottage was brilliant value for money, exceptionally well kept and great for families. There's a spa services with Gregg's next door if you need anything. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area
It is next to a busy fast road (didn't hear traffic in the cottage though) plus it's a drive to the nearest village. Apart from that spot on.

Our cottage,Woodman, was quite spacious with two bedrooms. Nicely furnished.
In a good location for touring and convenient for the town. Lovely riverside walk on the doorstep.
The owner, Sarah, is very pleasant and helpful.

Excellent location with some lovely walks nearby up into the fells. Property very spacious with good parking. Clean and comfortable.
Owner had only acquired recently and was bringing up to standard. WiFi is very poor and inadequate for anything other than email and basic browsing. Very dated - kept requiring you to accept Facebook cookies every time you wanted to use it. Mobile signal is very poor/non-existent and no access to Data service, so very limiting if you need to work, stream or be in touch with anyone.

the location was good once we found it and allowed us to visit different places easily.
unfortunately, trying to find the property on the arrival day was difficult as the post code lead us to a different location and the instructions of where the property was based was also wrong.

Great property and great location. We loved that you stepped out the front door and there was a walk through pine woods with ferns down to a beautiful river. The kids absolutely loved it! Actually didn’t need to go anywhere as it was perfect for a day by the river.
Can’t fault it. I was at first worried about being so close to the main road but it wasn’t busy as I thought it would be and you couldn’t even hear it even with windows open.

Excellent location for exploring the area. Very comfortable and well equipped for a short stay.
Low doorway into lounge, my husband kept bumping his head!!
7.0 / 10.0
The location was good although Being close to what we needed but the setting of the property wasn’t as I expected but that’s probably down to my research
Beds could have been more comfortable and main lounge sofas could be improved for comfort but as we weren’t in the property much because of activities this did not matter a great deal but it’s def worth knowing
