Superb

It's a peaceful place. Very clean. Well trained care staff. Personalized attention by the owner of the hotel. There is full security throughout the building. I recommend it to live here quietly.

it is what it is!

it allowed smoking inside the room so that was cool! good breakfast! nice staff!

street parking very unsafe. salt water in the shower and sink for a water source! pillows very uncomfortable! dirty oxidated fixtures. no shampoo for the shower! tv didnt really work correctly! its ok to vist and bring a girl but not even a 2 star hotel, adminastration and management is lacking. need a renovation and a update to all the rooms!

Dont be afraid to book a room here. it’s a hidden gem.

i loved the location as it was off the main road and more discretely located than the other hotels. I also loved the owner Henk and the girls at the bar. Henk is a very hands on owner and you can tell he loves what he does. The cleaning ladies were also very sweet and friendly.

i had a couple of minor issues with the room. But not anything that was too major. They handled a minor bathroom issue I had as well as the ceiling fan.

Would not recommend this hotel at all!

The outside of the property, pool and restaurant is appealing but it ends there

The room was horrible, the bed, the furniture, the patio door was broken, the bedding was disgusting, the AC unit was missing the cover, we tried a different room and it was the same, we immediately checked out.

Great stay in Sosua, owner was really nice and accommodating, would definitely come back!

Breakfast and the pool was great. The owner had scooters for us to rent and facilitated activities for us.

It was a good stay and despite some of the shortcomings, I would stay at this hotel again.

The location was good and easy to get to the hotel. The parking was good for the location. The staff was nice and friendly. The hotel has a good vibe and atmosphere.

The pool could be little warmer. More breakfast options. More diner options. Pure de papa or other Dominican breakfast. The shower could have some warm water to shower as I don’t like cold showers. Could have a little stronger internet but overall not bad. The staff could have provided some materials about the area, like things to do and places to go, restaurants, information about the beach etc. I can do my own research but getting the help from the locals would be even better.

Beautiful grounds to relax on the daybed. Friendly happy staff all day. Good food, free breakfast. Excellent bar with biljart, sports and darts. Good free wifi. Comfortable bed. Spacious room with terrace, safe and mini fridge. Boutique size, family run. 24h security on site.

Bathroom is a bit rusty. No water bottles provided in the room.

Not what it seems.

Good ambiance.

First of all a/c was not cold enough, bed was to noisy and hard, I was not able to catch a sleep during the whole night. Swimming pool wasn’t clean and they only serve coffee with the breakfast if you want juice you have to pay for it. On top of all when we were having breakfast someone from the staff asked me at what time I was leaving us knowing that check out was at 1:00 pm. I know that price is ok for what you get but you should always try to give your guess the best for them to go back to you and be able to recommend to friends. I have been to other hotels around the area with similar price and much better rooms, breakfast and with much more higiene. Won’t go again.

Exceptional

Everything was exceptional! Hotel Voramar is truly home away from home. Henk and his staff are very welcoming and understand the importance of customer service. The addition of Tilo as the new chef was a finishing touch to an already awesome hotel. I can't wait to get back for Christmas!

AC didn’t work, asked staff to change the room, guy told me next day. Nothing worked in the room. After night with this fan I get sick.

Very kind personal & manager

The manager was helpful all the time. Food in the restaurant was very tasty. There was also a lot of varieties of breakfast.

Loud music until late night. Everything is quite far from the hotel, you need taxi to get anywhere.

Good value for money

Good location. The room and the common areas were clean, wifi and aircon worked well. The staff was extremly friendly, though they didn't speak english. Food was tasty. Free parking area in the street right in the front of the hotel.

All rooms facing to the pool and the bar, which means noise and music (and guests) until mindnight. The matress was worn out, not really comfortable. Glasses in the room could be also useful.
