Amazing place. Beautifully renovated palace, nice design and decos. Also respect that hotel supports charity, and have the first woman-led cafe. Top experience.
Everything works

A wonderful oasis of calm. A historic building that has loads of characters and charm! Eating and drinking in the lovely garden is a special experience

Evening meals outside magical. Lovely old former palace lit up at night. Beautiful large garden, set back from busy road. Great cafe with delicious cakes. Very helpful smiling staff.
Annex bedroom lacked air conditioning (two rather noisy fans) and there was no water or kettle/teabags.

The property is close to the main attractions in the city. It is an old heritage property and has elements of colonial architecture. It has ample parking space and areas to walk around. A nice cafe.
Too close to the highway so there's vehicular noise throughout the day and night. The rooms are right next to the dining area which gets crowded and noisy on weekends making it hard to get a good nights sleep. No kettle in the room so early morning tea/coffee is difficult.
3.4
The expanse of the place.so much of potential for improvement, overall
The rooms can be updated to modern standards

1. This is a heritage property that was previously a Palace. I read that a popular Indian TV serial on Tipu Sultan was shot here. It's grand and well maintained. We were a family of four people and stayed in the 'Princess' Room. It was very spacious. Well ventilated. The breeze from large windows blew all evening. Washroom was well ventilated and clean. The entire floor is just straight out of a movie.
2. The staff was very kind, professional and polite. Mr. Syed, Charan, Manju and Prashant were proactive and helpful. Charan specially made sure that we got the best room and provided everything on our arrival.
3. Sprawling garden that houses a bar and a restaurant thats open till 10 pm. Sit, relax and enjoy the palace view.
Food quality can be improved.

Lovely old building in beautiful gardens with candlelit dinner outside in the evening. Friendly staff and efficient reception. Garden rooms simple but adequate and large.
A quiet location just outside town.
Bedrooms could be improved with fresh paint. Did not seem to be room cleaning/ bed making, but maybe one has to ask. This was not a problem for me, travelling alone.

To start with the positive. The hotel is beautiful and the garden is nice. So this was promising when we arrived.
But then… we were guided to our rooms. The rooms were big but the bathroom was covered in black mold. The smell was really bad and the shower floor was partly orange from residu of… we don’t want to know.
While checking out we told the lady but there was nothing to do about the price and the hotel couldn’t compensate anything. We are not pleased at all (which is an understatement) and the room was not worth the price we paid. Not even half of the price we paid.

beautiful grounds, loved the atmosphere and eating on the lawn. our room was very sweet. the staff were kind and helpful. the food was very good
it feels a bit run down, needs some care, feels like the pandemic time has made it less cared for which is a shame as it is a wonderful spot. we didn’t have a toilet seat on our toilet and there was mould on the bathroom walls.

Very bare room very noisy from traffic on main road . It is no way a heritage hotel. Main house nice from outside was totally empty. Grumpy bar staff !

Heritage hotel - and external ambience
Rooms, Staff, Maintenance, unnecessary charges.. and many more

the lawn in front
the actual standard twin room and double rooms and newly built rooms facing the palace. so don’t expect to stay within main palace building
when I upgraded to a room within the main building it was super overpriced with a health jet that doesn’t work and cramped up and not so great bed sheets
the food is below average and no local food being served
the overpriced breakfast has only two items which are very very average
while front desk staff are friendly, but the restaurant staff and very curt and not helpful

This is the second time I have stayed in the Green Hotel and the area has unfortunately become quite a bit more busy and noisy. However, the well maintained grounds with beautiful gardens compensated. The staff in the hotel were helpful. My room, on the first floor was basic, but large and perfectly adequate.
It is unfortunate that the impression given on the various websites is that all the rooms are in the main heritage part of the hotel, which looks stunning and raises expectations. The majority of the rooms are actually in an annexe, and do not live up to the expectations raised. I had booked a “suite” which I had assumed was in the main building. So that was disappointing. There seems to be no way of making a booking in the main building. This might be a feature the owners could address in the future. I am sure many travellers would assume they were staying in the main building, but would appreciate the option of choosing a room in the grand and enticing looking old palace.

Location
Poor facilities. No toiletries provided and have to request for it. It's old and definitely not worth the money spent. Couple of thousands more would have got me Mercer.
3.4
The front desk staffs are friendly
The rooms are very low standard.

Place is beautyfull.
Restaurant is low but good food
Bed room has no window in front a big noisy boulevard. Difficult to fall asleep with the noise.
Need to call back to reception to have 1 soap and 2 white bedsheet missing
The security guard offer a free wifi access for 400 roupies !
