Short walking distance to Jelsa downtown. Hotel buildings are surrounded by pine trees so seaside view is embelished by beautiful smell of pine

The two bedroom apartment with balcony was very spacious and well equipped. Friendly and helpful staff. Very close to the beach, and the poolside bar serves surprisingly good food at reasonable prices.

The location of Fontana is the best. Also the size of the bigger appartments
This was our 5. time at Fontana since 2010. The entire resort is on overtime when it comes to maintenance. Everything from the apartment to the pool area.. In fact I do not think there has been any major maintenance since the first time we stayed there. So if we are going back to Jelsa in the future, we will not stay at Fontana.
Based upon earlier experiences, we had not booked with brekfast or dinner. We tried the dinner buffét one evening. EUR 20 for one person is a scam, compared to what they did serve. Although there were several dishes to choose from, the kitchen had managed to overcook everything. It didn't look appetizing and didn't taste anything. You wil get much better food in Jelsa for a more reasonable price.

Size of room
So many stairs for my elderly father, some rooms (had other family staying ) were very below par in quality cleanliness which was disappointing as not mentioned in booking there would be difference!

Bayside apartments are fully furnished with all the amenities and comfortable for an enjoyable stay. The staff is so very kind and helpful. This was our second vacation in Fontana Bayside Park and we'll definitely come back!

The location is rather quiet. There is only one bar at the location and no other clubs or shops at the location. The wifi works OK (50mbps max) and is available at all locations. The buildings are in pine forest. The air-conditioning worked OK. Our apartment had porch with sliding screen - very useful. The pool was cleansed every day, and was clean. The employees are local and pleasant.
In the apartment the towel rack was falling out the wall, the refrigerator door could not be closed, the display on heating plate (kitchen) almost worked, lights in one room did not work, the apartment was not cleaned in a week, we got new towels fifth day, after we asked several times. You get 4 chairs in 6-person apartment. The TV (tube screen) and DVD are from 1990s (not that we used them). Other buildings are clearly older, some are not maintained, some dilapidated and dangerous to enter. The parking is there but is just some dirt by very narrow road. The restaurant is to be avoided. There were some pieces of trash around for a week.
Finally the price has gone up 200% over the last 4 years, besides that nothing really changed.

Superb location, wonderful views. 10 minutes on foot to charming village Jelsa. Spatious well equipped appartments. Free parking. Very good value for money.
Complex needs renovation.

Fantastic location, spacious apartment with a good view, all rooms air-conditioned, efficient daily cleaning service, own swimming pool, beaches, market and restaurants at a walking distance. Ample parking spaces available.
High price, insufficient infrastructure in the kitchen.

the location is great. Walking distance to Jelsa which is a great town. Big enough for several great restaurants (Artichoke was amazing!) but small enough to feel intimate and cosy.
We knew the accommodation would be dated, we had seen the pictures. And we read the reviews so we were mentally prepared for all the stairs. But the quality of what was present was lacking. A hard bed where you feel the springs, hairs everywhere, parking was a drama (the reserved places that are there were only for show? we were never able to park at night) and the appliances just didn’t work. The boiler was inconsistent causing cold showers, the shower itself was taped together, there was no electric water heater (as indicated), the drying rack was broken, the airconditioning made aquarium sounds (bubbles) and the washing machine didn’t work properly leaving the laundry soaking wet. The pools are small but children don’t need a lot. Having more sun loungers would be good as it would easily fit. But there was not one umbrella - so you were only able to be at the pool in the full sun. It has so much potential, the location is great. But it is lacking to much.

being away from all the other tourists and being very quiet at night
check in at 4:00 pm ,unprofessional manager on duty actually wasn’t even there on Saturday check in time 🤣🤣🤣 ,tv set in the room from 1990 and doesn’t even work ,broken shower door with hazard to the kids ,shades on the balcony that don’t even open ,unorganized parking everyone parks as they please, wife and kids arrived at the property at 12:30 told they can get in the room by 2:30 pm never happened just to name the few things .Even on the check out today when we mention that TV doesn’t work they said we know about that 🤣🤣🤣🤣 .No one ever offered anything as a compromise or even a voucher for the breakfast or the ice cream for the kids at the pool. For the money you charge to stay there this a joke of the resort.

Properly is beautifully situated in amongst pine trees and by it’s own little cove of the sea, with mountain views. Lovely quick walk into the town along the sea. Spacious apartments and pool area overlooking the sea. The town of Jelsa is beautiful too.
The only thing I would say is that the terrace is more of a room with shutters that open, so you don’t get any sun on it.
4.5
The location is fabulous! The pictures on the website do not show the real room. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Ours was renovated we believe.
Location of Jelsa is fantastic and we really enjoyed our time here
Some parts need renovation.
Pool was filthy

NOTHING! overpriced for a terrible stay!
The address that they provided was wrong that we ended up at the other side of the town. We tried calling the reception and seeking for directions. No one picked up the phone for 30mins. We ended up standing on the street getting mosquito bites all over the legs. Once we managed to arrive with the taxi, the first thing the staff told us was “We do not cover the taxi fee” No apologies, No empathy at all.
When we finally arrived and just wanted to get into the room, we needed to walk for a while on slopes. We found out that the whole resort is uphill with 80s style. I saw the reviews before that the furniture were old and worn but I thought it would not be too bad.
The toilet did not even have ventilation or a fan. It was so terrible to share it with a partner. The shower made the floor flooded and wet the whole place because the shower was not in a good position. The room stinked and nothing like the photo showed on booking.com There was even a moth in the room.
The breakfast was a few pieces of bread and old salami and cheese! I could not believe it.

We have been going to this resort for a number of years, and the lady in charge of booking is always perfect, she is prompt, helpful, kind and professional.
The location is also good, the apartments also have parking and are close to Jelsa, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle.
The cleaning ladies are always very nice and efficient, and they clean well (even though the interior is starting to become run down)
The hotel has worsened a lot since last year: the parking allotted to each apartment can no longer be blocked, hence other residents park all over the place, a few cars without any disabled person kept parking in the disabled spot. The hotel staff never told them anything. I asked the hotel staff about the parking issue and they just shrugged saying "it depends when you arrive, if you find a spot".... the interior of the apartment has not been renovated. The compartments in the fridge/freezer were all damaged, the freezer handle broken off. We informed the reception desk, who again shrugged and said "well, that's what you get when the Polish come...". Also, at arrival, the lady at the reception desk only spoke English and nothing else. The reception staff in general felt quite apathetic and not enthusiastic.
The mattresses are horrible, they absolutely need changing.
I am really thinking of going to a different hotel next year....
