Belle piscine

Merci Mille fois Nuria & Chris ! Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances dans cette formidable maison. Nous étions 12 personnes de la même famille dont 3 ados. La maison est très confortable, très bien équipée et très calme. Nous avons tous apprécié de pouvoir utiliser à tout moment la grande piscine toujours impeccable. Nous nous souviendrons de nos repas sur la terrasse (vive le barbecue) ainsi que nos fin de soirées au bord de la piscine à regarder les étoiles filantes. A 15 min de la maison, nous avons découvert de superbes criques pour se baigner dans des eaux chaudes et cristallines. L'amettla de mar est un port de pêche assez animé et où il fait bon se promener le soir après un bon restaurant. Chris et Nuria sont très sympathiques, toujours disponibles et à l'écoute. Nous espérons revenir dès que possible ! Encore merci !!!

We originally booked this villa for a week but as the time got nearer we discovered that there was noone in before us so we booked a few extra days. We drove to the villa and Chris (the owner) offered to meet us nearby to show us the location as it is a little tricky to find first time but we were happy to locate it ourselves having located it first on Google Maps. First impressions were pleasing. The villa is in a lovely quiet location but within easy driving distance of small towns and conveniences. You do need a car if you are staying here. The outside space is clean and theres plenty of it. There are bicycles available, table tennis, dart board and of course the pool. The pool is a good size and there is ample space at the shallow end for children/non-swimmers. Chris keeps the pool clean daily although he is an early bird so you probably won't see him. Inside the villa the kitchen is well equipped and unlike other villas we have stayed at, there were bin bags, toilet rolls, washing up liquid, tea towels and even a selection of herbs, salt and pepper. As anyone who stays in villas will appreciate these little things make a big difference. The outside bin is emptied each day so you don't need to worry about rubbish being left around. The villa was lovely and clean, the beds made up as we required them (there were 6 of us) and extra bedding if you needed it. All towels were supplied including pool towels which definitely helps with keeping the luggage down. In the living room there is a laptop available with wifi, a dvd player and satelite/cable tv. There were only a few english channels we could find and we didn't use the dvd player. There are also a range of books available to read. Unfortunately for us, our car broke down whilst we were there and although this was not Chris' problem he was very helpful and spoke to garages and recovery people on our behalf as we do not speak Spanish. He and Nuria (his wife) also enabled us to print off paperwork that was needed for the garage. Without them I am not sure how we would have sorted the paperwork out. We had a lovely stay at Can Albert and will definitely be going back in the future. We would recommend this villa if you like your own space and peace and quiet. There is plenty to do in the area if you are so inclined but if like us you just like to take time out and relax then here is perfect.

We stayed at Can Albert in September last year with our dogs, and had such a fantastic time we booked again for this year. Our friends were fed up with hearing us bang on about how great it was and suggested they came too! They weren't disappointed - the villa is set in olive groves with mountains as the backdrop, and it's close to a lovely non-touristy seaside town with great restaurants. Nearby is the beautiful River Elbe delta with long sandy beaches, rice fields and water birds. Chris, the owner, is very welcoming and helpful, and the villa is perfect. We had great weather too. We'll be back!

This is a lovely, clean, comfortable and very private villa with beautiful outside space, sparkling-clean swimming pool and in a brilliant location. There were only two of us with our two dogs. Perfect for them as the grounds were self-contained and we could walk them outside. Set in acres of olive groves with mountains as the backdrop, it's only 10 minutes drive to the local, unspoilt but buzzing seaside town (wonderful seafood!) and near the exquisite river delta with paddy fields, egrets and unspoilt, empty beaches. We loved this place and imagine it must be particularly lovely off-season. The owner Chris was very helpful and close by if we needed help or information. We would heartily recommend this to anyone who loves the real Spain rather than the crowded Costas. We will definitely return!

One word best describes the villa for us – PERFECT. Thank you so much Chris and Nuria for making our wedding dream a reality. We had previously fell in love with the area of El Perello, and decided to have our wedding there. We then had to find a villa to hold the reception. After looking around several villas and talking to their owners, we both came to the conclusion that Can Albert offered everything we required. Right from the start Chris was more than helpful, taking time out to show us the grounds when we visited the area the year before the wedding date, offering us ideas and information about the surrounding area. Chris also kept in contact throughout the final year to see if there was anything that he could assist us with, which proved very helpful in getting extra tables and chairs in for the reception (Chris went far beyond what most would do to locate and price this for us, even picking them up on the day and returning them the next – a huge help). When we finally arrived for the week, again he was more than helpful and it was great to know we could always get hold of him if we needed but at the same time giving us privacy to get things done and relax. The villa is so well equipped; it had everything we needed for our weeks stay. The pool was lovely and very well maintained (Chris gets up so early everyday to clean it so by the time you wake its ready to jump straight in). The grounds of the villa were just the perfect setting that we had dreamt of for the reception, with plenty of room for our guests and seating areas as well as enough shade for when the sun became too much for some. We cannot recommend the villa enough for anyone else wishing to have their wedding here. We will defiantly come back to the villa without any hesitation as we now have so many fond memories, we are sure anyone wanting that perfect family holiday will feel the same after a stay at Can Albert.

We were a group of 8 friends aged 25- 31 years old who stayed for 1 week. It was a great place for us to hang out, listen to music, drink beers, eat a lot of great food, enjoy the beautiful spanish weather and do all of this at a very reasonable cost. The villa was spacious and clean and has comfy beds and good bathrooms with lots of hot water. Having a dishwasher was great! Chris cleans the pool everyday at 6am! Chris and Neuria are very nice people who were friendly and helpful - they booked us a restaurant one night when we wanted to eat in the town for an evening meal, they also gave us taxi numbers and a map to show the taxi driver so we would be able to get home, and they even gave us a lift to the restaurant itself. There are too many good things to say that I can't say it all so can just say that the villa is highly recommended. The only thing to bear in mind is that the villa is in a fairly remote location so you will absolutely require a hire car car at this villa. Also - there's not much going on at the local town or beach really so it's more suited for people who are happy with their own company and to relax round the pool. There are things to do however if you are happy to drive a little further afield - we did the Castle in Mirvat and the Aqua Park in Port Adventura - both are good fun!

I highly recommend Chris and Nuria's villa, this year was our 3rd visit and the villa and surrounding area just gets better and better. Each year we see and find somewhere new and outstandingly beautiful. This year it was the Delta thanks to Chris' recommendation.....miles of wonderful sandy beach, gorgeous blue seas perfect for the family to swim, finished off with a fab paella. We stayed for 2 weeks this time and could easily of stayed much longer! The villa is so comfortable with everything you could possibly want and need, plenty of room for our 2 family's and our very excited children. The pool I have to add is amazing, very very clean and maintained very well by Chris. Chris and Nuria are close by (without intruding on your privacy)if they are needed for any problems (we have never had any) or for advice on places to go, eat or to give directions. We were luckily enough to be there for 2 festivals, San Juan and St Peter, one a fantastic firework/bonfire party and the other a fishing festival, fantastic atmosphere, lots of entertainment, rides and stalls going on well into the night. All I can say is that we will be returning next year and hopefully for many more years after that to Can Albert!! 5* without a doubt.
