Perfect stay

Nothing
£90 for a room that smelt fusty mould on windows and shower, heating took hours for radiator to warm up needs completely refurbing. When we went to check in was just told you have room 4 asked staff member to take us to room no welcome what so ever. Staff member who took us to room was polite tv was not working he attended straight away and gave us another remote.

Location
Standards weren’t brilliant

Very clean and newly decorated, staff were very friendly, we ate in the restaurant and the food was all home cooked, hot and very good value, drinks were very cheap by comparison to where we live. In the evening they had a band playing and we enjoyed the whole evening even though we were the only “non-locals” in attendance. Everyone there seemed very friendly and we felt totally at home, even the twenty something village idiot with his girlfriend who took great delight in acting like a prat, was quite funny looking back on it, he obviously doesn’t get out of the village too much
Nothing really, all in great value.

Did not have breakfast but the meal we did have was very good. The location was excellent for our needs. Staff could not have been any more helpful.

It was a nice friendly pub, where locals come who were happy to chat. The room was clean, nicely decorated, a view over town square (nice for me as an overseas tourist), bed very comfortable. Good hot water and shower pressure. Good tea and coffee facilities in room.

I thought we had paid to have bed and breakfast but was told on arrival that they no longer did that service 😢
The bath towels were not big enough to put around our bodies so got drenched after one shower and needed to be dried before our next shower. We only had 4 mini milk pods between 2 of us for 2 nights stay. Neither of us slept well on the 1st night because we kept rolling inwards into each other in bed. I think the mattress could be too soft in the middle maybe.

The staff very friendly.
Its a shame they no longer do breakfast and no other cafes around the pub serving at weekend. The clock tower keeps you awake if not used to it.

The room was clean, warm and comfortable
Everything was lovely

Comfortable Twin room with shower/toilet ensuite. There was plenty of room for luggage, hanging space for clothes, TV on the wall, and there was also a handy desk. Soap, shower gel and towels were also supplied. Parking was in the square opposite the pub. No charge for parking and was relatively easy to get a parking space when we arrived. There is a clock in the square that chimes on the hour, this being said, once we closed our windows at night, you couldn't hear it.
We also ate in the pub restaurant the evening we arrived, and the meal was tasty, plentiful, and good value for money.
Everyone that worked there, that we had any interaction with, was friendly and courteous.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Woolpack.
The only thing I would change about my visit there, is I do wish they did breakfast.
