Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the juniper house. The house had everything we needed. The kids loved the yard and all the space in the house. We loved the proximity to everything. We loved the small town.

Comfy and Roomy & Fun things to do
We really enjoyed our stay in Kanab. The house was central to four amazing adventures; Grand Canyon, Zion, Coral Pink Sand Dunes and Bryce Canyon. We did all four parks in 3 days and enjoyed eating and resting in the house where we felt at home. No fuss, easy in and out. Thank you.

Outdated property
The pictures are a bit misleading and make the place look better than it really is. The house is quite outdated; beds are too soft and sunk in, and the walls are too thin to the extent we could hire plumbing when someone flushed the tiolet. If you are a light sleeper like me, you might want to book elsewhere. Location wise it's very convenient and central Kanab (and close to Zion as well). We don't think we received the value for what we paid, but our options were limited for the long weekend..

Quiet home with plenty of room. Wonderful restaurants in town to explore after a day of hiking in either The Grand Canyon or Zion National Park.

Wonderful house
As I do every year, I rent this home and invite a group of women to join me on a volunteer week at Best Friends. The house is well-suited for groups like ours, with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, laundry facilities, and large kitchen, dining and living rooms.

Perfect for a group trip to Best Friends!
We had a great stay at the Juniper House! Walking distance to several great restaurants (Sego, Peekaboo, Rockin V) and plenty of room for all of us. We were a mixed group (1 couple, 3 singles) so the space gave everyone their own room which was great. We LOVED having sleepover pets and can't wait to be back!

Spacious and comfortable home
This home had everything we needed with plenty of room for our family of five. Beautiful inside and out. The location allowed great access to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We visited them all. It was great to enjoy a vacation in a cozy clean home that also was just around the corner from quaint coffee shops, shopping, and other small town attractions. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice vacation home, clear recommendation!
If you want to explore the Escalante Staircase National Monument, this roomy house in Kanab is a very suitable place to stay. Everything you need is provided, and you'll enjoy the great fireplace if it's chilly outside. 3 bedrooms to choose from, 2 bathrooms, big living room, amply equipped kitchen, BBQ grill etc. will make your stay very comfortable. I clearly recommend this place to our friends!

Fair
Wasn't all that impressed with this property! There was a huge problem with ants. There was no soap in the bathrooms and we could only find one wash cloth in the house. The bathtubs and showers need to be updated. Was OK for a short stay, but probably won't go back.

We so enjoyed the small town atmosphere. Kanab is a great destination. People are very friendly and there is so many outdoor activities. My family enjoyed the Lantern Launch and the Light Parade immensely. This house is so comfortable and welcoming.

Great location, needs cleaning and updating
A group of girlfriends stayed at The Juniper House in October. The location of the house is great. It is very centrally located to all the attractions. The manager of the property is very pleasant and helpful. Many things are provided for you on arrival such as dish soap, detergent and toilet paper which is very handy. The amount of beds is perfect for a group. However, we found several deficiencies at the house that we would like to point out. We would have liked to have had this information prior to booking this home. We don't have unusually high expectations as a group as many of us have done volunteer work and medical missions in third world countries. Firstly, the bathrooms are extremely outdated with showers that don't drain and that we could barely fit under. The tubs were disgusting. While the kitchen functioned properly the pots and pans provided are old and very gross. The television is also old and only worked part of the time we were there. The television is helpful in this area because there is not a lot to do at night in the area. We also had a problem with the heat but for both the television and heat we called the manager and she had someone out to fix them in a very timely manner. As another reviewer noted the "sunroom" "bedroom" has glass blocks which let in a lot of light and a flashing neon sign is seen at night which was very disturbing. Some simple curtains across this would be helpful. While all the linens are provided the bed sheets (particularly on single beds) were old, stained and did not stay on the beds. None of the windows can be open as they are nasty and have no screens. The screen door on the side entrance slammed in the wind and we could not get it to close properly. So we listened to it banging all one night. The cost of the home does not match the quality of the home. It does not have to be fancy or "elegant" just some easy updating and significant cleaning would make this place top notch.

Wonderful Home
After volunteering all day at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, it was great to come home to The Juniper House. Large rooms that were comfy. Felt great sitting at the table in the front yard to talk about our day. Dinner was just a short walk away. This is our third visit to Best Friends and each time we've stayed at The Juniper House. Asta was great to work with. Looking forward to our next memory-making vacation to Kanab!

I love this house
I just got back from my 6th stay at Juniper House, and as always, it was a wonderful experience. On our last day one of my companions had a medical emergency, and Asta was so accommodating when I asked to delay checkout to deal with situation. The house is conveniently located to Best Friends, grocery stores and restaurants, and at 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, it's a perfect option for a group of friends volunteering at the sanctuary. I won't be able to make it next year, but I plan to reserve the house again in 2017.

Sweet little home away from home
Juniper House was a great place to stay for the 4 of us who were visiting in the area. Since it is located in Kanab, it is centrally located for visits to the north rim of the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, and Lake Powell. While we enjoyed Kanab, those who are looking for a wide array of good restaurants and shopping should be forewarned that Kanab is not the place for that---instead, Springdale would be a better locale (but the Rocking V restaurant in Kanab is wonderful). With that said, we found that Juniper House was located close to downtown Kanab (walking distance). The home itself is very comfy and inviting and provided for all our needs while we were there. The only thing we couldn't find when we got there was bath soap, which we easily picked up at the local market. Interestingly enough, all of us slept like babies while we were there--due at least in part to the fact that once you turned the lights out, it was dark and quiet. The only thing I would recommend to make our stay even better would be to put a second TV in either the master or second bedroom. All in all, I would highly recommend Juniper House to those wanting a central location for seeing the sights of southern Utah.

I stay here every year
I've been coming to Kanab to volunteer at Best Friends since 2009, and I've been renting Juniper House once a year since 2010. It's large enough that I can share it with other volunteers and never feel crowded. The house is beautiful and great for parties! I love that it's within walking distance of several restaurants and only a few minutes from the sanctuary. After four years of coming here, it feels like my home away from home. I've already reserved it for next year!
