Overall really nice. We think the 2 queen beds were just full beds.

We enjoyed everything that the property had to offer. We played a lot of pool and ping pong, sat down next to the lake, made smores in the massive fire pit. We should have brought fishing poles! It is a lovely area and no issues at all.

We drove 22 hours to chase the giant perch in Cascade. We were not disappointed with the fishing, people or property. We caught hundreds of very nice perch with many over 15" and 1 16 incher. The bonus was the trout we caught mixed in with the perch. We ended up with 11 species of fish in the boat in 6 days of fishing.
We pretty much fished and slept, so the home was overkill for 3 of us. About my only very minor disappointment was I could not find any garlic powder or garlic salt for cooking some fish. Who doesn't have garlic in the spice rack?
The California King bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable.
When we decide to go back to Cascade someday, this home will be top of our list to rent again.

It’s good to look into your families faces first thing in the morning and the last thing at night.
Our first time picking the mountains over warm for Spring Break. The frozen lake and snow were beautiful. At night you can see the groomers on the Tamarack runs.
This house was filled with laughter…we realize we are Not good pool players or Ping Pong players but had so much fun trying!
The huge kitchen table makes me want one.
10 of us had plenty of room to “get away” if you needed too.
I highly recommend this beautiful home. We have all talked about dates to return this summer.

This was a great place to stay for our family. The game rooms were great entertainment for the kids and it was so nice to have the water front location! Make sure to grab some firewood from the local gas stations and enjoy your time here! Beautiful location to vacation!

Overall a nice location and place. There are two things preventing me from giving this house a 5 star… the carpet was filthy and so was the rug in the living room. And there was dog hair on the blankets and sheets in at least two of the bedrooms. It was gross. We didn’t use the comforter in the master due to the amount of hair. The sheets to that bed also had hair all over. We ended up putting the blanket we brought along on the trip on the bed so we didn’t have to sleep on the sheets. I did contact the after hours number and Charlie replied to me right away! Great customer service from Frost Cabins.

The property was great for our group of 6. The location feels like a getaway, while also being a quick drive into town. Great communication with property management.

We really enjoyed this house. Great views overlooking the lake and everything was as advertised. We would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace and the house was clean. The beds were comfortable and the kids really enjoyed the playroom and the pool table. We enjoyed an afternoon at Gold Fork Hot Springs and did some sledding. Communication with the owners was fantastic. Great house!

My husband and I and our adult daughter, her husband and two children had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the lay out of the house, it worked well for all of us. The microwave wasn’t working and they dropped off another right after we checked in. The kids ( and the adults) loved the backyard. The location allowed us to visit not only Donnelly, but Cascade and McCall as well. We hope to return.

Our stay in Donnelly was wonderful and the cabin was well equipped for our daily adventures. We were within 20 minutes of great hiking in Tamarack, McCall and Payette Lake. Loved being able to end our day around the campfire overlooking Lake Cascade. Wonderful stay and look forward to coming back!

The accommodations and property are everything as advertised. Sits just on the lake with easy access and close to other outing destinations. Unfortunately the lake water level was quite low so couldn’t fish from backyard but that just encouraged us to go explore. Microwave wasn’t working and wifi was spotty but the indoor fire place and outdoor fire pit were just what we needed. Thanks!

Loved the area and the great views, but the actual cabin was less than expected. Several things were in bad repair and beds were very disappointing. This cabin could be awesome with some simple upgrades. Improving the mattresses and simple repairs would make you feel like it was a good value. Kids did have fun playing pool and ping pong and enjoying their time playing outdoor games. Very close to the beach.

Everything You’ll Need
Beautifully appointed, thoroughly stocked with all the housewares you’ll need, plenty of room inside & out, beautiful views, private lot, minutes to State Parks and downtown. We ate in every night because it was just so comfortable.

Perfect vacation home
We had a great stay. The place was perfect for relaxing with a large group. We spent a lot of time gabbing around the table and there was plenty of room for everyone, including the kids and folks who needed space to work.
The house was comfortable and the property was really pretty and quiet. I’d happily stay there again.

Not wheelchair accessible
I booked this home primarily because it is advertised as wheel chair accessible. The “main floor bedroom” is a small room with a fold out floor sofa. Not suitable
For my elderly parents. You cannot get into the house with out stairs, albeit only 2 steps. My elderly father fell on the stairs. Not a good way to start the trip. We had to pay an additional $100 pet fee for our pets who weigh over 20 lbs because the carpets had supposedly just been cleaned. The carpets were not at all clean. They were very stained everywhere. If you need an accessible home for elderly family members, this is not the place. The house was well equipped and otherwise comfortable.
Don’t advertise as wheel chair accessible if it’s not.

We had great communications from booking to check out. There was plenty of room for a mob of adults and toddlers. The kitchen is very well equipped. The location is great. Highly recommended.

Our stay was ok. Unfortunately the lake had toxic algae and we were not able to enjoy the lake.

Best VRBO ever!!!
We had a wonderful time here! The management company was extremely responsive. Actually the best of any VRBO we’ve stayed in. And we have stayed in many. We had a mix of adults and kids, the kids loved staying together in the kids room. The pool table was awesome, balls and cues in great condition, although you have to do creative shots at times due to the small room. The secret table tennis room is great, the paddles need to be switched out though because they are all missing the rubber face. The balls were also worn out so we replaced them ourselves. The kitchen is very well appointed, every appliance you could need and very high quality ones. Only things we missed in the kitchen were non-stick spatulas and cooking racks for the cookies. Beds were OK, not the most comfortable but comfortable enough. Other guests have mentioned the dirty carpet and this was definitely noticeable upstairs since the carpet is white. It needs to be cleaned but it’s not awful. The location is amazing. Kids loved playing on the beach. We could pick people up from either the backyard beach or the public beach/boat launch. We paddleboarded every day (we brought 3) and left the boards and paddles down on the beach w no problems. The outdoor bbq and firepit were excellent. Bbq is well maintained and works perfectly. The owners generously let us use their firewood from the front of the house which was awesome! Only other negative was there was quite a bit of wet black mold in the lower corner edge of the shower. However, as soon as we notified the management company they had someone out the next morning to clean it. They cleaned most of it and assured me it will be fully removed before the next guest arrives. Oh, the downstairs TV worked great, easy to use your netflix, Hulu, etc. Upstairs in the big room TV only works w DVDs, remember those? Would be great to update that to a smart TV. We did not use the TV in the master bedroom. So overall, awesome place. Would definitely stay again! Very well maintained and only a few negatives that I’m sure will be addressed as the owners and management company are so responsive. Thank you for a great week!

Family Adventure
Great house - had everything we needed for our grandkids - pack and play, high chair, games, toys, and room to roam. The location was 1 mile from a nice beach swimming area. The water/river right behind the house is beautiful to look at but we did not think it safe for young children to play in. The downside to this house was the carpet and rugs were very stained and dirty and we had small kids that were crawling - yuck! To be clear - the main floor is mainly wood and tile and that was fine. The bedrooms and stairs and the area rug in the living room need to be replaced.

Donnelly family vacation
The house was nice & spacious enough for our group. Kitchen spacious & well furnished. We kept our Labrador outside as requested, owner stated white carpeting. Carpets appeared uncleaned upon arrival, the Labrador would have NOT affected the carpet.
Road into property needs to be graded, many potholes.
Overall, our vacation was good!

This place had everything:
Great beds.
Enough hot water for 6 adults.
More kitchenware than my own home.
A perfect setting on a private part of the lake.
I will stay here again when I retufn to IDaho.

Loved it!
I am a bit anal about carpet and this carpet is off white and it was a bit stained, so I spot treated it and cleaned it the first night I got there. We brought our dogs so since I have done a vrbo myself, I know to bring multiple carpet runners to keep the place clean. Otherwise, it was awesome!!!! Would definitely come again.

Awesome property on the water
Such a beautiful home on a wonderful property. We relaxed, fished, bbq'd, sat around the firepit, even took a step into the chilly water. Can't wait to come back again soon!

New Years Even 2021
Nice cabin, plenty of room, lots of snow. Could use the drive way plowed more often in the winter. The management company gets/was confused about the amenities which caused some stress and miscommunication. The website is correct and the cabin and amenities are great.

Great House
We had a wonderful time at this property. Amazing parking for our snowmobile trailers. We had our family of 8 and it worked out great for sleeping. There was plenty of room to spread out. The picture of the kitchen was a little deceiving. It is actually good size and functioned well for our group. The kitchen was well stocked-except we couldn't find an ice cream scoop-lol! Lots of dishes for large groups. Plenty of linens and blankets. Thank you for an amazing home.

Great relaxing weekend away!
We first planned our trip for Labor Day weekend but had to change our dates because of COVID. They were flexible and made the change easy for us. Winter time at this cabin is fun and cozy. The house is well stocked with anything we could have needed which was nice. I do think it’s time to replace some of the pans in the kitchen but that would be my only recommendation. Overall very happy with the stay and we while stay here again!

Family Reunion
The home is beautiful in a great location. We went on the lake on Saturday and it was a great day on the huge reservoir. The kitchen had everything we needed. The kids liked the pool table and toys. The secret room was a hit too. The pictures of the downstairs room made it look like there was a fold out couch. More like cushions, there is a fold out couch in the living room. All in all, it was an amazing weekend.

Beautiful location
This was our first time to rent through VRBO. Our family had a wonderful time. It is a beautiful spot, very tranquil and secluded, yet a short drive to everything we needed. The house was the perfect size for my family of 6 adults, 2 teenagers and a 1 year old. We felt right at home and would go back without hesitation.

Perfect With One Exception
The house was very clean, well stocked, especially the kitchen. We were in need of nothing. And the property access to the water for paddle boarding was nice and the backyard patio had an beautiful view, too. I seriously doubt you can get an equivalent house for this price.
Since we had five children under six years old, we were nervous of the terrain, a steep rocky step descent to the waters. We were always a little on edge, our only exception.
Ironically, the house inside is more than perfect for kids with secret rooms, ping pong, a pool table, and a playroom for kiddies. So this could be a delight for a winter family retreat, too.
I would get this house again in several years when the kids are 5 and above.

Exceeded Expectations
Pictures don't do the property justice. Inside was immaculate and well appointed. Outside area was perfect to lounge and enjoy time with the kids. Huge firepit. Great outside grill. Spent most of our time in the shade on the grass area or under the covered patio. Waterfront location was ideal. Kids kayaked and swam everyday. It was safe with very low boat traffic. Exceeded my expectations.
