Espaço para relaxar e desligar da agitação da cidade

A equipa é muito simpática e acessível. Os espaços comuns são muito confortáveis e acolhedores.

Tenho apenas dois apontamentos: 1) os colchões não são super confortáveis como costuma a acontecer nas Pousadas; 2) o pequeno almoço é variado, no entanto não tem ao dispor fruta fresca descascada/partida só fruta inteira e salada de fruta com um ar de ser de conserva. Mas qualquer um destes pontos não retira a opinião que estamos no espaço óptimo, são pormenores que depois marcam a excelência habitual no grupo.

MAGICAL!!!

Everything about the place is magical. Authentic, excellently modernized, castle with beautiful, well kept and rich gardens (and pool.) The most helpful and gracious service from EVERY staff member in our entire trip in Portugal!

Fabulous building, grounds and room.. top notch

The building and the grounds are just lovely. my room was fabulous, big… with a big bed… overlooking the tranquil garden and pool. very good spot to wind down. Restaurant had real good food and wine. staff where very attentive. all splendid.

Good location for touring this part of the Alentejo region

Location fabulous and staff were friendly. Maid service excellent. Pool excellent. Decent buffet breakfast. We had dinner one night which was good but the menu was a little limited.

Sadly the garden area around the pool could do with some care and attention. There were drought conditions but it was character-less. Our view from the room was partially blocked by a huge cypress tree!

Exellent choice for a short stay in Alentejo.

Very charming Pousada with nice garden and pool. The restaurant was exellent and not expensive.

Very good

The staff were excellent and very welcoming. The restaurant choices were limited but reasonably priced and good value. The room was medium sized and looked into the rather bare courtyard of the castle. The public areas need to be refreshed and the grounds were not as lush as in other pousadas. All the pool chairs were taken. There were only about eight spots available. Perhaps buy more chairs. Good parking space nearby. Nothing to really see in the town itself, but a good stopover on the way to another destination.

The castle, the great beds and pillows, dining area and common areas

Not as much choices at breakfast for sweets, coffee not great even the cappuccino, room stayed cold even with heat on, would prefer a walk in shower, bigger tv

Enjoy the historic facility.

It was a unique clean facility. Amazing the condition and to be able to experience the history.

Not a lot of other attractions or sites in Alvito but a short drive to Evora which has sites to explore

Wanted a drink from the bar but only wine available despite the obvious bottles of gin and whisky in a locked cabinet. Hotel was very quiet but given that it was open we felt a full range of drinks should have been available

Had a really nice time, great for some R&R.

Good breakfast with fresh produce. Really nice staff. Great restaurant with great food, I definitely recommend going there. The room was big and nice. The surroundings and garden are tidy and clean, even if not too big.

The pool area doesn't get much sun after pretty early (17:30 when I was there) which is a shame. The decor is a bit outdated but it's still nice.

Exceptional

Staffed by young people, all exhibiting a high degree of training excellence. Very attentive and friendly and made our stay so enjoyable. The evening meal was excellent too. A special thank you to reception who let us know an item had been left by us inadvertently and then posted on to us. Enormous care taken and we're very grateful.

Great facility

Beautiful facility, clean, comfortable rooms with modern bathrooms. Nice dining options. Lovely pool area in gardens.

The noise from a town celebration went till 6am, and the pounding music was loud.

They have a big problem, not enough staff to run the restaurant. It can only take around 50% of the guests. You have to go to a roadside cafe for dinner.

Amazing

The location is amazing, the castle is very well kept, the rooms are big and clean. The pool is great and the service was excellent. We had dinner there and it was good and with very reasonable prices. We really enjoyed our night there.

The bed was a little small but we slept well anyway.

Stay in a fabulous air conditioned CASTLE with a pool and 5 star restaurant!!!!!

Stay in a fabulous castle and have a 5 star meal!! This was so relaxing and fun. We splurged to have the suite because…castle. The staff was truly phenomenal and so friendly. We needed to make a dinner reservation, and we are so thankful we did because it was spectacular; it was all local and it would’ve been a $300 meal in the states (it cost 60 euros). The castle even has wifi, an elevator, a pool and great air conditioning!

The only drawback was that we go lost driving there- so that’s our fault. We would just say to make sure to confirm the Pestana address from the Pestana website to be sure or where you’re going (Apple maps and booking.com didn’t do the trick).

Exceptional

Had dinner at the restaurant and loved it, such good food, the staff is very nice, breakfast is diverse and good quality. The bed were extremely comfy. The pool is small but really quiet and pleasant to be at.

The constant piano music, could change a bit. But those are just details, loved the staying.

Lovely hotel. All the modern comforts in a really historic building.

Loved the room - so spacious, comfortable bed, lovely view out to the garden. REALLY appreciated the A/C and pool. Great breakfast.

The dinner we had (churrascaria) was terrible - the meat was way over cooked.
