Lovely big room overlooking the lake, friendly staff, nice meal.
Couldn't turn the shower temperature down - was too hot to shower properly.
3.6
Room size was very good. Breakfast was yummy. Was relaxing by the lake.
Despite communication, order placed for special occasion was not carried out. No compensation or apologies given. Although was compensated at breakfast after asking.
No email reply from decorative team.

The staff are friendly besides the breakfast service staff
Old furniture and poor room quality

The view of the lakes and garden were beautiful and so peaceful, and lots of wildlife. The room was large , clean and comfortable. However the decor is very dated, but that didn't matter. Nice outside seating area, however could do with small privacy wooden fencing so you are not looking at all the other guests sat outside their rooms. Breakfast was very nice and all staff were helpful and accommodating. Lovely outside seating areas near the lakes. tea and coffee etc could get ice from the bar, Scones were beautiful . comfy bed, no noise from traffic on lake side.
Decor from the 70s but clean and large and ok.
Not much choice of food at lunchtime. Have to order the Afternoon tea 48 hours in advance, so couldn't have one, as didn't know. would have been nice if they did a Sunday roast.
Could do with a mini fridge in the room and spoons instead of stirrers,
food nice though.
larger towels would be nice and privacy screens between rooms outside.

all ok
extracter in bathroom
bigger tv

The rooms were a good size and facilities in the room were good.
No proper restaurant for evening dining. No privacy on terrace between rooms and no structure like large planters to keep neighbouring guests from getting close to other windows. Dogs allowed to stray in the terrace area without leads

I was disappointed to be honest wasn’t great at all like what booking.com said on the website wasn’t cleaned properly they didn’t change the bathroom towels, were waiting long for our breakfast because they didn’t take our order correctly.
Not cleaned room
Slow and wrong breakfast order being sent to us

Breakfast was lovely, staff were great, location just wonderful.

Everything was great. The staff is very friendly, always helpful and always has a smile on their faces. The location on the lake is indescribably beautiful. The lake view rooms are unique. Dogs are welcome in this hotel. There are guidelines, but these are not a problem for dog owners. We would like to say thank you to the entire team for this relaxing stay. We would love to come back.

It's just a shame and sad that you can't walk
around the lake.

Iit had no personality. My room was quite big, but empty and uninviting with a tiny tv mounted on the wall. The bathroom was dated and you wouldn't want to put your bare feet on the floor
3.6
Location perfect for visiting family
Waited at front barrier ages before being let in
Bed was extremely creaky and only a small double
Kettle didn’t work
Poached eggs rock hard
Was warned about an event but children were running up and down corridor at midnight and first thing

The location itself is incredible. You would never know that it's in the middle of the A2/M2. The Lakeview rooms look out onto a beautiful lake with wildlife and the fact that the rooms are pet friendly is an added bonus. Even though the rooms may appear a little dated, they are so spacious and cosy. Very inviting. One of the highlights for my wife was the bath tub as we only have a shower at home. Really lovely.
It was my anniversary and I had messaged a couple of times for early check in, which wasn't granted. I was told that my room would be ready at 3pm and upon arriving at 3pm, I had to sit and wait in reception until about 3.30pm for my room to be ready. I found the mattress on the bed to be quite thin so not the most comfortable of beds but not horrendous. The main thing that I didn't like was upon entering the room, I was looking for the TV, only to be greeted with what looks like a 13inch monitor. The TV is so small that I had to get out of bed to look at the "What's On" guide as I couldn't see if from that far away. Bigger TV's would definitely be a bonus. Whilst watching TV was not the main focus of my stay, after a long day, it's nice to relax for an hour and chill. The experience would have been improved if the TV was bigger than my iPad!!

Good stop over location. With a lovely lake.
Didn’t feel very comfortable and being a solo traveller was put in a room with bunk beds in it aswell.
3.6
The location, our room’s over looked the lake, excellent view, weather helped.
All the staff we met were courteous , helpful and friendly .
Ample parking close to hotel, would definitely recommend and stay again.
Breakfast in first morning, bacon and sausage very crispy/tough.
Second morning breakfast was really nice.

Quiet peaceful place

Breakfast small, not very warm
The evening meals were limited choice, all from the freezer nothing fresh, always cold

Comfortable and clean. Easy access to all facilities. Great friendly staff. Fab location. Lovely views outside. Parking spaces well spaced.
Nothing!

Good location for a one-night stop over. Includes breakfast, which makes it very good value for money. Has a restaurant as well. Nothing is top quality, but hey, the price is low.
It’s right next to the noisy motorway. We slept on the lake side of the building, which is less noise and OK.

Room comfortable, Breakfast ok…could have been hotter, View of car park no problem.
Steps up to room level not mentioned, would have been tricky to negotiate with a larger suitcase.( only overnight case needed )
3.6
The surroundings were pleasant , room was comfortable and most of the staff were helpful and polite, needed water in the room
Food was bland and some staff unhelpful
3.6
Beds were very comfortable
Breakfast was ok but not great. I felt sorry for the staff serving breakfast, they looked unhappy. The rooms were quiet but once outside you could hear the noise from the road. We did not get to stay more on the lake because of this.
3.6
We had a family event there, so the location was ideal. The view from the rooms were really nice of a lake, and on the other side of the car park and trees. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean.
The only thing that could have been better was if they had a king size bed in the rooms.
They could also benefit from having EV charging stations in the car park. Several people at the event had electric cars but there were no charging facilities nearby.
3.6
the surroundings were amazing and didn't want to leave .definitely be back again
Shower wasn't very powerful
