A nice stay in the mountains

We were welcomed with a smile and a very positive attitude by the receptionist. She was always attentive throughout our stay, always smiling, outstanding service. The place is cozy, with beautiful mountain views. Has a nice restaurant, with a wonderful views, bright and spacious, with a nice terrace where you can smoke or have a drink. The rooms are comfortable, nice furniture and big bathroom. We had dinner at their restaurant and the traditional Romanian food was very tasty. They accept pets and even have water and food for them at the entrance, a very nice gesture.

The room was not perfectly cleaned. There was dust on the lamps and the shower drain was clogged and dirty. We also found some packaging paper in the dresser from a previous guest. The balcony could have some chairs to enjoy the beautiful view.

Very poor

The rooms had spiders and they were not very tidy. Bathroom towels were not changed and the main lobby was not smelling very pleasant. Breakfast was very poor and very expensive.

if you want to feel like at home this is the place! super host, amazing food, clean, beautiful scenery… for sure we’ll repeat!

Amazing !

The property is stunning! Unlike other wannabes, this really lives up to its name. The rooms were clean with custom painted furniture, really great! I would love to meet the owner next time!

one minor thing : due to the access , a sign located on the main road would help a lot.

Better than expected, given other reviews

Quiet area, comfortable bed, very big room

Shower water was colder than I'd like. To get to this location you have to drive up an insanely steep hill, so be prepared for that. There was dust buildup in some places in the bathroom.

Two-nights stay at "Conacul Vânătorului "

Courteous and professional. Although we arrived very late at night, they waited for us with clean rooms and very friendly staff.

All was good, no complaints.

It was ok but it could be much better with some real maintenance and

The food was good and the staff were extra friendly. The chef was flexible and made extra or different food on request e.g. we asked for a soup for my 1 year old daughter and we got a very nice carrot/cinnamon soup or we asked for an extra crispy oven baked chicken because the others were a bit too juicy for the children and they acoomodated for that too. I also liked that we were allowed to check-in with our dog which also made a friend out of the owner's dog, a very nice white golden retriever. With the permission of the owner I took both dogs out on the hill behind the villa to play where they fetched the ball together, and then wrestled until they got tired. The access road is a challenge but not as bad as i've read in the other reviews unless you are an inexperienced driver in which case i do not recommend taking the hill on. Out of 4 cars we came with only 2 were 4x4 and all 4 climed the hill with no issues, just use 1'st gear and don't let off the gas.

We rented 4 rooms, each with it's own set of issues. The toilet push button was coming off the wall every time we flushed in my room, the bathroom heater/towel-dryer was so rusted it looked dirty, the sink in one of the other rooms was clogged when we checked-in, the bed in my inlaws' room squeaked so bad it was hard to sleep, one of the 4 rooms was not clean, you could see dirt on the carpet and the bathroom had a foul smell. The pictures indeed do not show the real settings of the villa, there are other houses now costructed around it. Although the staff were all extra friendly you could tell they were not true professionals, none had hospitality training. You could tell by the informal language they used or how they approached us as guests and the types of questions they asked. At times it felt like we were a friend of a friend's house rather than at a hotel.

I wouldn’t recommend it at all

The view.

Well, the parking, is not really a parking. The the check in… the same lady that cleaned our rooms, was also in the kitchen 5 sec. later helping with dinner. No prices/menu on any drinks, food or anything. When we checked in I saw that in the bathroom We have : shampoo, conditioner, showergel, handsoap. When we got the keys : just handsoap… I go to reception to ask for shampoo, conditioner and showergel. The receptionist ( 15 years old) gives me a showergel from Dove and try to convince me it’s good for the hair and explains me that she doesn’t know Why it says on the booking.com showergel, Cause they never had… so bring your own. Then the ” restaurant” closes” 20:30. Now, it’s not really a restaurant cause you don’t have food to choose, you eat What they give you, and you pay for it and it only has the natural night. When the sun goes down… you have 0 lights… next morning. Breakfast starts 9:00. I wake up and I go to make myself a coffee( that I was planning to pay for it, same like I did the day before), I take a cup and when I get closer to the expresso machine, I hear another receptionist ( older this time) literally BARKING at me : ” you can’t take coffee miss, breakfast starts 9:00”. I tell her I am willing to pay for the damn coffee, and she comes with an angry face, takes my cup from my hand and she does my coffee while asking me really angry and pissed of in What room I am staying… Great way to start your morning!! 😒 Then, 9:00 o’clock comes, we go for breakfast. The breakfast had : tomatoes, cucumber, cheese, 2 types of salami, 1 type of ham, bread and butter. While eating ( us and the other guests) the same receptionist ( the barking one) came and started screaming in the restaurant: ” everyone that is going to check out, MUST leave the keys in the door”. I felt like I was in a summer camp and the teachers were trying to organise small kids. You can’t come and scream at your guest while they EAT!!!

Do not recommend, especially for this price

Hard to reach the property with a regular car due to very steep road. Loud parties took place untill early morning and were tolerated by the property staff. Slightly dusty.

A wonderful, and very traditional place to stay in

The hospitality and the size of the rooms.

The location itself looks amazing, plus, combining this with a very welcoming owner, who knows how to treat his guests and make them feel like home, makes the whole stay ten times better.

Great place for a getaway

I loved the view, the room was clean with balcony access and the staff was nice.

There are no shower cleaning products, only soap near the bathroom sink.
