The room was spacious, with storage boxes provided under the beds. Multiple showers and bathrooms. Rooms cleaned daily. Great location to hiking nearby.
Had no problem.

Like the previous experience in Ambleside, I confirm that the YHA brand is absolutely above all expectations as hostels. Spacious, clean, efficient, organized and staff present and kind.
The village in Coniston is only far 5 minutes on walk.
The big woodbox where leave your stuff is incredible but remember to bring with you a lock.
the noisy floor and creaky beds may be the only fault this hostel in Coniston has. Luckily I go back to sleep immediately, otherwise there is the risk of having a sleepless night every time someone turns over in bed or gets up to go to the bathroom during the night.

Staff and facilities were great.
not enough hanging hooks and the room was at a very hot temperature with heavy duvets in the beds… but everything was clean and crisp

Absolutely recommend this establishment. The staff were wonderful and we found the facilities cleaner than most hotels we have stayed at in the lakes. Shout out to the two ladies and one gentlemen running the place. Breakfast was also excellent. Don’t hesitate - book now

staff really helpful, good value for money in terms of the stay, comfort and good location. really disappointed by breakfast, better off going to a local cafe for £10. one egg, a single rasher of bacon, a sausage and a small scoop of beans and a hash brown? and the continental part was a let down. some dry pastries, cornflakes and a bowl of yoghurt. poor.

The lounge room / reception was very welcoming.
The drying room
Very clean and dorm room spacious

met lots of kind friendly people
Didn't know that guests have to show/have ID - think I hadn't received that email yet. Didn't have my driving licence or passport, neither did my friend The receptionist said wouldn't couldn't stay there then. We had just driven all the way there, It was quite late - quite stressful. Also we had a race against time to get there before the reception closed

Location
Wouldn't let guests in till till strictly 5pm. Other hostels usually allow guests to use facilities while waiting for reception to open.
Needed some money spending on the place.
