Overpriced!
The staff were very friendly and attentive. The daily breakfast was delicious!
I was expecting better for the price we paid. It’s the most expensive place on the island so we were expecting premium. The place is tired and needs some maintenance. For example one of my sinks was blocked, the other tap shot water directly at you so brushing your teeth was rather challenging. My friends shower had no hot water. only 250mb of internet is free (can only be used on one device), you have to pay after that runs out. The internet is spotty at the best of times. The walls are paper thin and if you share a wall with any other room/ villa you can hear everything. The villa next to us was watching a movie, and I could hear every word in my bedroom at midnight. The owner was very apologetic about this and gave us some complimentary coconuts for this which was lovely. There is no bar or restaurant on site so get a rental car or be prepared to pay for taxis. They can make you a meal on site but you have to book this in advance and you’ll have to eat in the lobby/ reception area, which is less then appealing if you are paying $1700 a night. The beach was not clear and full of sea cucumbers which personally grossed me out. The chickens wake you up at all hours, rat drooping on top of the fridge and many more unexpected little things we didn’t expect for 1700 a night! We also stayed at the private Island lagoon resort and honestly it was way better, it was half the price with an incredible lagoon view which was on par with bora bora. The water was clear there with an on-site bar and restaurant there. The accomodation was definitely nice but not worth how much their charging.

Exceptional
From the moment we were collected from the airport to the day we left, we were treated as special and valued guests. The villas are exceptionally well-appointed and comfortable. While they're luxurious, they still feel like "home". A difficult thing to achieve, but Aitutaki Escape has managed to do this. Thomas and his team made every effort to make our stay memorable. We are grateful for their efforts to help us - from a delicious breakfast delivered every morning, arranging a hire car , arranging lagoon tours and helping us find somewhere to eat in the evening. The private pools are a bonus, and we made good use of them - especially in the evenings. We would highly recommend Aitutaki Escape and look forward to returning one day.

Gorgeous location and private
Location is amazing, beautiful beach, gorgeous sunsets. The whole villa is wonderful, comfortable and very spacious. Great kitchen, fully equipped, and great living area. Very lovely hosts and staff. Very accommodating and helpful. Nice breakfast and changed daily too.
LOADS of mosquitoes! Makes it hard to enjoy outside, even during the day. Water has pooled under the deck due to a long leaking tap I think and you can smell stagnant water even on the sand by the beach in places. It will take some time to rectify. The beds are very hard, hubby got a sore back and had to sleep on couch. Could do with a decent topper pad or replaced. Lots of little things not working at the time we were there, but they could be fixed by now. I found the idea of daily breakfast delivery a bit invasive, would have preferred breakfast ingredients just left in the fridge at the start of the week and we look after ourselves. In all, despite these few niggles, it was a great stay.

Heaven on Earth!
Loved the private pool and luxurious villa - ingenious design, stunning bathroom and beautifully decorated throughout. This is the place to go if you really want to spoil yourself - loved every minute of our stay here and would come back in a heart beat!
The beach is beautifully kept by the groundsman but is not the best swimming beach, however your private pool more than makes up for it!

Amazing honeymoon destination
Incredibly private and luxurious!! The villa was spacious and well appointed. The private pool was so clutch and the quiet beach felt totally private! The staff was amazing and chef Thomas served us the best meal of our trip.
There were some bugs but that’s what you get when you’re staying in a tropical locale.
