The view and area were the only good thing about this place.
House was dirty, everything in the kitchen was not usable.

Best place to see aurora.

Loved the cottage - it had two bedrooms and its own bathroom and kitchen (equipped). We enjoyed the hot tubs a lot! And the best part was seeing the northern lights right from the cottage.
Breakfast was very rich and the view of the waterfalls was just an awesome plus.
One of those shared tubs broke the second night and was cold as heck, but two were still running great.

Great cottage to have the middle-of-nowhere experience but also close to other cottages.
Very clean and cozy.
Good location and close to Reykjavik, Akranes.
Not really spacious for 4 adults.
Breakfast was not included in the price and there were so many flies in the breakfast room (wouldn’t have breakfast there even if included)

The location of the cottage and the views were amazing. The river and the falls and the valley all created a magical atmosphere. The troll theme was fun as well as the strolls, which were also educational for kids and adults alike. The people are very nice. Overall a great place to stay.
Hot tubs water could be a bit cleaner.

This was our favourite place to stay during our week in Iceland. The cottage is about 100m away from the reception area but totally private with a view to take your breath away. The little cottage is warm clean and has all you need. There is Wi-Fi but no tv ( who needs one with views like this) there is a stunning river close by, there are wonderful walks, hot tubs and the breakfast served in the main building was by far the best we had, incredible value! The evening meal was very good and they even “changed the menu” to give our son who is type 1 diabetes and coeliac a great meal, you sit with a view of the river tumbling over rocks, then home to watch the sunset. Go and stay here !

Beautiful location. A snow storm came through during the night but we were tucked up very comfortably in the cosy cottage. The restaurant served delicious food and the staff were lovely.

The sunset cottage is in a great spot. We saw the aurora even if it was very faint as there is nothing around the place. It was very spacious and the kitchen had all the utensils you might need.
Not very clean. The lid of the kettle was broken, kitchen drawers were dirty. I wanted to use the dish rack, but it was yellow and sticky. Even the kitchen towels had holes in them. I also found a random old oreo biscuit on the shelf on top of the kitchen.
The WiFi wasn't working and I tried to use the password many times.

The cottage was clean and comfortable. There is a nice walking trail and also a waterfall in the area. There's also a hot springs bathhouse that you can use to relax after a long day of driving.

Got the sunset cottage. It seems like it can be booked for two separate couples which I’m not sure how convenient that is. We had it for ourselves (family with 2 kids), which was perfect. It has a small Kitchen, and dining table for light snacks. Shower is great with lots of hot water. Parking is right outside which is nice since we have soooo much luggage.
Nothing really. If you only get one room of that cottage you will be sharing shower and toilet and the common area...
