Trotz "nicht stören " Türklinken Anhänger kam das Zimmermädchen herein, was ein absoluter Verstoß und nicht akzeptabel ist.

Very small bed. Old room with spots on walls and door. Dusty curtains. Found an old phone on the floor. No socket close to bed. Poor lighting

A small hotel in the middle of the city, still quiet, with onsite free parking.
The hotel is in an old historic city building with spacious rooms and lots of flair.
Hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
An Italian Restaurant is right at/next to the hotel with delicious food served till late night.
The building is being restored by the owners and therefore there are little corners here and there which need finishing. However this did not affect our stay.

The hotel is right downtown and the room had a nice homey feel to it. The room was adequate for one person but could have used a chair or somewhere to sit besides the bed. The heat worked well during the cold temps too (-14 outside). All the bathroom fixtures were in good repair. Overall the place has a faded glory vibe - it's all very pretty to look at, but could use a bit of updating.
The mattress was like a hammock with basically no support in the middle. The shower temperature varied a lot.

Booked two rooms. One has no complaints. And in the second room in the description was declared a view of the city. In fact, there was no window at all. I cannot sleep without fresh air. I've been tormented all night. Lying in the description of the rooms does not do credit to your beautiful hotel. Because of the sleepless night, all my plans for the future journey broke down. Due to the planned 1000 km of the road, I was only able to drive 500 due to a sleepless night. I will not recommend your hotel to anyone. I travel a lot in your area. I will talk everywhere about your lies in the description of the rooms.

Perfec location!
The hotel is located right in the city center, no more than ten minutes from Heidecksburg Palace and no more than 5 minutes from all the sights of the historic center of Rudolstadt.
The floor of the room creaked terribly. It was impossible to go to the toilet without waking up half the city center. At the time of our stay at the hotel we saw that a major renovation is underway, which is good news because the location of this place is wonderful (right in the city center) and deserves a much better interior.

Amazing staff. Very kind and attentive. Right in the middle of town. Free parking. Super delicious breakfast. Wifi was strong. Good shower water pressure too.
They were mid-construction in some areas, adding new rooms. It'll be good when done.

Large room. Huge, clean bathroom.
Windows pointed at market place. Can be a little noisy at weekends.

Lovely building, centrally located in Rudolstadt old town area. Room was spacious. Floor creaked, but not surprising for wood floor in an old building. Bathroom was spacious, well organized, clean with a sink separating the toilet and walk in shower enclosure.
Our room had a view of the main town square and schloss. Less than 10 min. to walk to schloss and no entry there for visiting the grounds.
Though the hotel had limited hours for check-in, they were accommodating when we called to say we may be a few minutes past 7PM in reaching the hotel.
Sufficient choice of restaurants nearby for dinner. We added breakfast when checking in. It was served on the table due to COVID restrictions. They brought a selection of meats, cheese, rolls and fruits. Also served juice (orange or multi-frucht) and coffee. Service was good and we'll recommend getting it.
We parked in the Town Square as getting to the hotel parking would have taken a few more minutes. But it was free between 6 PM and 8 AM. We just had to feed the meter to cover 90 min-2-hrs in the morn before we left.
I took off points on cleanliness as there was a refrigerator in the room with mold inside. We would have been OK with no refrigerator. Or even an empty refrigerator with no listed items as shown on the "mini-bar" menu. However, a dirty refrigerator implies lack of proper attention by the cleaning staff. Could not mention this during check out as the reception was not manned when we left.
Most people would have found the bed comfortable. We just happen to prefer stiffer beds.

The breakfast very much exceeded my expectations, namely in these times of corona.
space for me or the car was limited, but probably common for this area of the world
8.0 / 10.0
Due to the Corona-restrictions the breakfast was served to the table, but that wasn't a problem as you get plenty. The hotel itself is dated but it is being worked on (not noisy but you can see it on certain corners)

Room was large and there was daily room cleaning. Hotel, in a very old building, has character.
During a 3-night stay in late July 2021, parking was not possible one night. Lot was full. The town is boring, unfortunately.

In the entire building you can smell the cigarettes. Very loud in the evening. View for the construction…

Friendly hotel staff. Nice athmosphere right in the middle of town with a view to "Heidecksburg". Free on site parking for hotel guest. The rooms are big enough and are decorated in the style of the historic building.

Friendly lady, old style large room with modern shower
Nothing worth mentioning (to me the very noise floor is part of the charm of an old building)
