La instalación es espectacular
Obviamente la cercanía al aeropuerto, pero eso no es culpa del alojamiento.

It is an historical fort which has been modernised as best as possible. The hotel is within the walled village & a wonderful place to wander through. Lorea was very welcoming & gave good information. We were on the 2nd floor which meant taking suitcases up 3 flights. Dropped off luggage & parking was free & safe within easy walking distance. We didn’t have breakfast as great cafe at top of square in front of the parador. Hondarribia was a wonderful stay but didn’t run to Spanish hours. On Tuesday night we went out at 8.30 & couldn’t get a meal as everything was closing at 9. Had some great Pinxtsos in the main area & bars were open until late on Sunday night. Easy to get the bus into San Sebastian virtually out the front of the hotel, 30 minute trip.
The windows were in the ceiling & at ground height so no real aspect. There was only bed light switches on one side of the bed & no bedside table. The bed was quite firm.

Lovely big comfy quiet room (201) in a former palace , with a view to France from the balcony. Friendly staff. Lots of local bars and restaurants. Bus at door, shops, laundry nearby.
We loved this hotel.

I have never rated a thing online. This was a wonderful, amazing place. We got room 205 which was amazing with 2 balcony doors looking over the city, water and towards France. AMAZING.
After walking and walking around the city, the only drawback is that there was not a lift, had to climb stairs but that was the only thing and it was only difficult after walking 20k steps a day...

Spacious, clean, comfortable and extremely charming. Friendly staff and excellent location in the old town. Very convenient to reserve parking and be able to pull right up after a day out. Don’t expect modern amenities but that’s part of the charm. I loved this hotel.
Noise from people staying out late on the patio outside could be an issue for light/early sleepers.

Beautiful building. Spacious and comfortable room overlooking the square. Spacious bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Despite the negatives listed below, I would certainly consider staying here again as it was just so beautiful and the staff were so friendly. .
We had two single beds joined together rather than a double bed. The wifi signal was relatively weak and seemed to work off several different routers. The shower was in the bath rather than being separate. The restaurant next door (which wasn't always open but was run by friendly and helpful staff) acted the hotel's bar and restaurant (other than breakfast which was available in the hotel). There was a lovely terrace which was locked and therefore not accessible when we stayed (maybe it's open in the summer).

hotel is in the centre of the old town. it’s only drawback is that it is on the top of a hill. however there is a public lift that saves you most of the climb.
quite a few steps to get into the hotel and more inside to reach the room.
