Location and history
Our first room had black mold in window and shower. We moved to second room and it was better but overall the hotel was not clean. Carpet dirty, an inch of dust on tops of things. A glass of wine sitting in the hallway. I couldn’t get past the overall lack of attention to cleaning detail.

Checking out.
The room was terribly small with truly negligible space around the bed. Each of us had to wait on the bed while the other one was moving in the room - no space for us, let alone the luggage (we left most of it in the car). Same story for the bathroom. Peeling paint, cheap furniture, no main light in the room but just crippled table lamps. Breakfast totally under average.

Authentic charm with family business vibe. Big and comfortable beds, friendly staff and very generous breakfast.
Back then Napoleon passed through on a horse, nowadays expect motorized transport of fellow tourists to be be heard from your room.

Very convenient location for access to Grasse
No air con, beds too short, room felt oppressive and unfortunately noise outside on the road but also inside the hotel on the floor above with intermittent heavy pounding for no apparent reason.

The lady at the reception was very nice.
The views from the rooms.
Everything was clean.
they are old rooms, but ok. Even that it is 10 min from Grasse, the road was not fantastic. But it also had its charme. I didn't know this before booking. But we enjoyed our stay there.

Even if it was the cheapest for the period and the general area where we were traveling, it was extremely expensive for what it offers. For example, we paid 52 euros at their pizzeria for 2 almost average sized pizza's 2 0.75L sparkling water bottles and a piece of cake for desert. I will let that sink in: 52 euros!?!? The breakfast was poor and whatever you do please don't take coffee from them. You are better off buying coffee from somewhere else. Not to forget to say that on the evening we arrived we wanted to have a pizza from their pizzeria and wanted to sit on the trrace, but since there was no place there, we wanted to sit at a table where the window was open, so not to sit inside the pizzeria where it was hot. We were told by the hotel/pizzeria staff that we can't sit at that table because we were only 2 people and that table had 4 sitting places. This is not how you treat your guests/customers. Lastly, I also this the hotel needs to do a renovation, at least for the room we stayed in.

only one croissant per capita for breakfast. And those hand made croissants are very tasty

it was a lovely old hotel with character and the food was good
the room was a little tired and had seen better days

Breakfast fast ok, the staff in the evening when I arrived was very nice and service minded.
The bed was hard. Tha staff during breakfast did not treat me well. I had payed for my breakfast in the evening but the woman refused to believe me and brought up several times. They did not speak any other languages than French which also made the situation with the payment uncomfortable. I will not visit again and it is a pity with a nice place with staff that doesn’t take the customer seriously

The location was convinient and it no noise from outside
The beds are not comfortable and squeaky. Every single move , the bed squeaks so annoying, wakes you up.

We’ve enjoyed our stay at this hotel enormously, to the point that we’ve also enjoyed our only dinner there. The landlady was warm and welcoming, and the hotel staff very kind, helpful and professional. The room was larger than we’d expected, clean and equipped with airco, which is always good news in the summer. The breakfast buffet was rich in both sweet and salty food, there was everything you needed to kick off the day on the right foot. We’ve particularly appreciated the atmosphere of this place: the walls and even the dinner menu were full of portraits depicting the French emperor Napoléon Bonaparte, it all looked very French 😊

Nice building, nice town, good for a stop-over.
The lady receptionist was a bit inpolite during my check in. The room is so small that the bathroom door couldn't even open. Small shower. Paper notes everywhere. A bit overpriced in my opinion, but I had a good night sleep and that's the most important.

The place is very nice and it has all the amenities you can ask for with a very reasonable price. Everyday the staff changes the towels and cleans the room without any extra charge. They also have two restaurants on the base floor, both very good. The staff is nice. I would recommend the place.
The shower doesn't have a proper door so when showering, the floor gets wet. The room is fine but it needs a general renovation, it is a little bit old. They also have a very small parking, so we had to use another one a little far away.

Welcoming and very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Pizzaria was good for dinner. Balcony for the dogs was nice.
