Beautiful setting - very calm despite being next to the highway

Jardins de Bakea is an oasis of rest, beauty, quality and taste. You can fully come to rest here. Owners and staff are very friendly. Very spacy and quiet rooms. Dinner and breakfast are absolutely marvelous.
It’s just a detail but the decoration of the room could be a bit more personal, original or warm.

We stayed at the hotel 3 years ago and enjoyed our stay that we were pleased to be able to visit again. We were not disappointed.
The very poor poor Wi-Fi .

The room was very comfortable, the setting and garden lovely, and the staff, superb. The restaurant serves excellent cuisine in a refined but warm environment. The hotel is a quick drive to the towns on the coast but in the summer must provide a welcome retreat from the crowds and commerce.
The slatted door separating the bath/toilet from the bedroom provided almost no (acoustic) privacy. A grab bar for the unsteady would have been a useful addition to the shower.

The perfect overnight as a stop over for our trip from UK to Spain. It’s literally minutes off the motor way, beautiful terrace and a fine dining restaurant. Comfortable beds, clean and friendly staff / owner, what more do you need?

lovely peaceful location. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Dog friendly. EV charger on site. The restaurant is exceptional.

Spectacular views. Our room had a balcony and it was more like a suite than just a room. The restaurant on the property was one of the absolute best places I enjoyed while traveling in France and Spain.
Nothing!

Quality accommodation
Express ? breakfast in bar 1/2hr so not worth the wait for the croissants to be cooked they were always almost burnt Restaurant service also painfully slow

Amazingly friendly, professional, helpful and charming staff. The food is excellent. Dinner and breakfast were both lovely. It also offers fair value for money, it is not cheap but everything is done to a high standard. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped, stylish and modern. It is close to the motorway but manages to feel like a secluded oasis. Parking is good and they have facilties for electric cars.
Nothing. Everything was better than I expected.

lovely situation and fantastic staff
the toilet door into the bedroom was slatted and therefore not private

We were travelling back from Spain to the UK, so the hotel was in a great location for a stopover where you did not have to divert much from the main route.
It is quite expensive for what you get. The room was very dated and didn't offer a coffee machine or not even a kettle to make your own tea. The menu was vast but the food looked " tiered " on the plate as the hotel room. It didn't have the vibrance in colour what you get with fresh ingredients and the decoration of the food lacked style. The owner of the house started with a smile, but it disappeared when I didn't place a big food/no alcohol order due to a health condition. You pay quite a bit for your dogs staying, but they do not offer in return a food bowl or some welcome cookies.

Pros: large rooms, nice garden and terrace, friendly
proactive staff, very clean, nice surroundings

Excellent hotel with first class restaurant. A tranquil setting with lovely views over the valley. First visit but certainly not the last. Well located for visiting the San Sebastien and Biarritz areas.
Nothing. Room would benefit for coffee and tea making facilities and provision of a refrigerator. Otherwise everything was perfect.

The staff were exceptional. Extremely friendly, going out of their way to make sure we (and our two dogs) were happy and looked after. The food was equally exceptional, and a highlight of our stay. Location-wise, the property is close to several hill walks and a river walk, which was ideal for us with our dogs. It's extremely well placed for visits to nearby towns and beaches (Hendaye being a real treat). Our room had a lovely little balcony with a good view of the surrounding area and garden. Comfortable, with good bathroom and large bed. Would highly recommend.
The room was perhaps a little basic, but adequate.
