Sehr zufrieden, gerne wieder.

Direkt vor dem Haus Bushaltestellen - Verbindungen nach Salzburg und Hallein. Gästekarten der Gemeinde dienen als Fahrkarten.Großzügige Wohnung, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, kleine Außenterrasse. Leckeres, vielseitiges Frühstück. Sehr freundliche Wirtsfamilie. Gesicherter Parkplatz hinter verschlossenem Tor.

the staff was super friendly, free parking, the property is easily accessible from the main road

We found it confusing that the property's facade says "Gasthof Auwirt" whereas the booking was for "Hotel Apartment Auwirt". At first we weren't sure that we have arrived at the right place.

It suited us fine as a stopover between Munich and Kleinarl. We were unlucky in that it rained a lot

Great location, old hotel with a few modern touches and a great host.

Wonderful host! Extremely friendly and helpful. Perfect for families, with a small playground on site. Lovely views. Breakfast was so generous with lots to choose from and a very attentive host. Love how close it is to the brewery and salt mines.

The rooms were a little cold even with the heat turned all the way up. The bathrooms need renovation, the drain in the shower wasn't working so well.

A charming family hotel

This is a small, family run hotel. The historic building is very charming, and everything is renovated with taste, and in good condition. The room was even more spacious than I expected, and very clear. The position is very good as well, near to the center of Salzburg, and they have a free parking area which was very important for us. The breakfast (additional cost) was quite rich. The lady at the front desk is most kind.

The restaurant was closed and it's a pity: in this area there weren't many restaurants open when we visited.

Perfectly nice

The hotel was amazing. Rooms were clean and we had everything fresh and new every day in the morning. People who worked there are very pleasant and polite and they take care of everything, always asking if we need anything. Location was the best because everything that we wanted to visit (Salzburg, Salz welten, Hallstadt...) was just 15 min away. All in all, just perfect place for a family holiday.

The Wirtin and her family will make your stay worthwhile. Generations have well served the traveler.

This is a family owned business (and not a chain) and they really go out of their way to ensure that your stay is the best experience. We were greeted every morning as valued guests at breakfast with a friendly smile and asked how everything was going on our visit. It was more than business chatter - it was on a level of country folk looking out for others. That was so refreshing as I come from the country in Alabama (USA). The hotel (and campgrounds) is located on a route that has a bus stop stop directly in front of the hotel that will either take you towards Salzburg or Berchtesgaden, depending on your plans. Otherwise, a drive into Salzburg/Berchtesgaden is only 20 minutes away. We explored Salzburg , Berchtesgaden and Werfen (castle and ice cave) while we were there. This trip and our hotel choice were perfect.

The hotel once had a highly rated restaurant but it was unfortunately closed due to COVID-19 conditions outside of the hotel. You must now travel >1km to get dinner.

Th overall hotel is renovated to a good condition.

1. Location is too bad. Will never come again. 2. Old house has a bad smell which can't be removed. I couldn't even sleep. Have to always open the window 3. Loud: directly at the street. Too loud when the window is open
