The breakfast was good. The staff was wonderful. We stayed in 4 Riads during our trip visiting 3 cities in Morocco, and this one was.wonderful. Beautiful traditional tile. Very safe. I can't get over how hot the water get and how wonderful the water pressure was.

Beautiful property in amongst the Medina. Lovely, clean and fantastic staff!
Everything was great. The bed is a bit soft.

It gave a very authentic feel to my stay.
My first room had termites which I didn't notice until nighttime when I got into bed and my pillows were covered with sawdust. They changed my room the next day. Nothing was given, not even an apology. The rooms were very dusty. While there is daily house keeping it is obvious they only do a superficial cleaning without moving anything. I had one load of laundry done, was told it would be around the equivalent of $30 USD. Then they tried to charge me over $50. The furniture is old and uncomfortable. The bathrooms need updating and the whole place needs a deep clean.

The hotel is very beautiful with very nice vintage furniture and on an old traditional house with a covered courtyard. The breakfast on the terrace is delicious and the also a very good spot to enjoy a nice breeze from the sea and work with a well working wifi. The most outstanding of the hotel is the staff. All are exceptionally nice and friendly! Also the the food in the small restaurant was nice and the red wine (Medallion) very good.

Location was great, staff at reception and the bellboy were amazing - great thanks to them for their support during the stay.
Breakfast very poor. Rooms are not very comfortable and too noisy. You could hear every single conversation from the streets across.

This is definitelly not 5 stars. It is overpriced. The toalet was dirty. Honestly, in Fes we had better accommodation for half price. I can't recommend this riad. If it is 3 stars and clean, OK, but otherwise the price is too high.

This is a genuine, landmark-worthy Riad that could be a museum. The intricate attention to detail in the architecture is everything you’d expect in a traditional Riad. Safouane is a gem; his warmth and hospitality is amazing, and Ahmed the porter will go above and beyond your expectations every time you need something. Overall a really enjoyable stay.

The staff were fantastic, the manager, the front of house staff, Hamid, Fatiha, everybody. Really excellent stay, without doubt after many years of traveling in Arabia, the best Riad I have stayed at. Stunning.
Nothing I can think of

The authenticity and the decor are very impressive. We had a nice dinner meal.
The rooms in the ground floor are not the same, one has a bath and the second a not so big shower..

I chose to stay in Dar El Kebira because I wanted to immerse myself in the local culture, staying within Medina.
The property was what I had expected in that sense.
The manager was kind and helpful.
The room had bathroom en-suite, both quite comfortable.
I was served with a welcome mint tea and a tasty and filling breakfast.
Beware, the property provides a porter to lead you through the maze of narrow streets from the nearby parking lot, but this service is not included in the price. One would think that since access to the property is complicated then such service would be provided free as location is no fault of the client. Anyway it would be fair to at least inform the client beforehand of the price.
Another red flag is that the porter charges 200 MAD for maybe 5-10 minutes’ work. Scandalous amount! I can’t recommend the property for this reason alone. For comparison, I hired a taxi driver to show me
around the city and he took 200 MAD for 2 hours of driving and waiting for me while I was sightseeing and taking photos. Another example - a guide took 100 MAD for 1 hour of showing me around.
But additionally the room is musty, especially after shower it has this intense smell of mould or fungus. They cover the smell with some perfume. The room had no windows except for ones opening onto the lounge room so it couldn’t be aired.
Another problem started when other guests arrived at the room above. Awful noise, as if they were moving furniture, lasted till 1 a.m.
Generally, I wouldn’t choose this property again especially for this price.

A traditional Riad in the medina. Breakfast was served on rooftop terrace overlooking medina and dinner available to order. We had car and were pleased as we could park nearby near the Kasbah de Udayas for 2 dirhams an hour. The hotel staff met us and took our luggage to the Riad while we parked the car. It was less than a 5 minute walk away. The Riad is tucked away down a maze of narrow lanes with the usual bustle of a souk, with food stalls, cats, etc. Once you go through the door you are in an oasis of calm.

I loved everything about our stay, the location was perfect right in the heart of the old Medina and near all the places to visit 😍. breakfast was amazing and sooo fresh! The staffs hospitality was the best I have experienced so caring! The place itself was breath taking so stunning it felt like something out of Alladin!
Special thanks to Younas, Ahmed , Hamid And Soufayanne!!!

The staff were very accommodating of our dietary needs (we'd had food poisoning a day earlier and just wanted some plain food and rice). They are quite pleasant.
The Riad is quite beautiful, and we found it quite easy to find - there are green signs in the medina clearly pointing it out.
- it's overpriced for what you get. We spent a bit more to stay here because we weren't feeling that great, but we're disappointed when we found out it was the same as a place we stayed for half the price 2 days earlier. We had a plain vegetable tagine, omelette, a single orange juice, and rice for dinner. Cost us over 50 euro! Room was "discounted" to 92 euro, but probably should have been 50 compared to the other 6 or so Riads we stayed at. Then they used a conversion rate favourable for them from EURO to MAD which was lower than market rate to get more from us. Sneaky.
- there's no 24 hour front desk even though their listing says so. We had to leave to return our rental car and couldn't checkout and finalise our bill because no one was there. No one answered the contact number, or messages i sent them. Ended up waiting 45 mins, calling booking.com and the staff finally turned up just before 8am. This meant that we were late dropping our rental car off. See photo.

A beautiful Moroccan Dar in every detail. Located in Rabat's Medina. Eager to help staff make this place a very pleasant choice in Rabat.
I found nothing to dislike. This is a perfect place to stay.

Clean, friendly and helpful staff. assisted me in finding parking and bringing luggage.
it didn’t bother me but some people might be bothered by the noise at night from the alley ways ie; people talking, dogs barking, etc.

Excellent Riad, elegant traditional décor, with delicious breakfast served on the rooftop terrace with the option to sit in a covered area. Location is perfect to explore the medina but still very quiet and calm. Will visit again.
Everything was great.

The shower over the tub was a bit leaky and our bathroom floor was often a bit flooded.

A charming riad at the heart of Rabat's medina. The rooms are well appointed and tastefully furnished in a traditional style. The staff is always smiling and ready to help. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the medina definitely a plus.
I wish they would improve their dinner service. The food was rather bland and markedly overpriced compared to other restaurants I visited in the area. You cannot charge the bill to your room, and they won't accept credit cards either. It's a pity, since the dining room is truly nice.
