great location and room was clean
Didn't like having got pay for carpark, staff seemed a little stressed on reception

This was a last minute booking due to being too tired to travel back to the city that night. There was a lot of people waiting to check in and the staff were like workhorses getting through with no complaint. The room was basic but I didn't have fancy expectations. There seemed to be new carpets and it seemed like the bathroom had been adequately cleaned. Surprisingly the beds were super comfortable and the shower pressure great. There were lots of activities downstairs for kids and adults alike. It seems more of a hotel for families rather than romantic getaways. Despite the amount of people in the hotel (it was so full and lively) it was surprisingly quiet in my room. I didn't hear anything and had a good night's sleep. The best thing was the location - right opposite the beach and pier. Lots of great pubs around - recommend the Harbour Inn.
As a stopover, it was fine. I wouldn't like to stay here longer than two days. We had a beach view but there was scaffolding blocking it which obviously can't be helped. We didn't have a fridge in the room so couldn't keep anything stocked but the buffet and restaurants around are great so didn't need to. If you're bringing a car, forget about parking in the carpark. It was totally full for us. But we managed street parking and as we were only there for one night, didn't have any problems with that.

Not much. The balcony.
Bad noisy plumbing. Scolding water. Noisy toilet. Bad bed. Dated 1690 on decor. We won’t stay again. Could have paid less for my much more elsewhere.

Nice location great views
Food was tasteless and disgusting .no hot water to shower , beds we uncomfortable and the rooms were very out dated no aircon or fans in the rooms.

Good location in centre
Dirty single room, not cleaned properly. Stained bedding, food waste in bin, grubby bathroom

Great location and good value, staff were very friendly and more than willing to help with anything.
We used the swimming pool which was clean and monitored while we were in it.
We used the luggage storage and the staff were really helpful.
Great budget hotel.
As this is a large hotel obviously there are lots of guests so the lifts were busy but it just meant waiting a little bit.

We didn't have any hot water for our shower we did mention this at reception when we left.

Staff were happy to relocate one room on arrival, as a disabled traveller. i needed my carer nearby. Mattress on bed was very soft and not supportive, for a disabled person this caused increased back pain daily. But room was spacious enough for wheelchair and bathroom accessible.
Initially rooms were in different wings, but on request staff did move one. so we ended up 3 doors apart. Room keys were a nightmare and frequently stopped working, locking us out. at one point we had 9 different keys for the 2 rooms. rooms need redecorating as look very tired and worn. doors into wings lock and slam shut all day and night, no 'soft close' springs. So disturbed sleep each night.

Great location and extremely clean rooms. With plenty of parking at the hotel and locally. Retro looks(old) and everything you need.
Seemed to be a larger than normal amount of younger drunk residents. More an annoyance than a problem.

Did not have breakfast as left for early ferry.
The rooms where very hot, was difficult to sleep, so some sort of fan maybe.

Prime location for a fraction of the cost. Something for everyone be 7 years old or 70 years old! Dogs are welcome everywhere apart from the restaurant. Will definitely be returning next time we travel on the tunnel.
Yes it’s dated but it doesn’t affect your stay.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly.
Everywhere had a musty, unpleasant smell. Breakfast was low quality (cheap produce, tinned items instead of fresh, basic options) car park was an absolute nightmare.

Great location…rooms clean and comfortable..value for money.
Stairwells and hallways leading to rooms in need of attention..very neglected looking.

Pleasant room overlooking the harbour - all expected facilities and plenty of space.
PARKING - or lack of it! We arrived soon after check-in time and the car park was full. We had to pay £20 for a night's parking in the commercial car park opposite the hotel. Needless to say this has left us with a negative viewpoint of the hotel.

Mi stayed here on the 9th March before we travelled to Paris and the 13th when we arrived back home. The 9th was fine, we had a nice room which was warm and cosy and no complaints! The 13th we was put in a room which was freezing! There was a dehumidifier, we went to bed and woke up in the morning all with a dry sore throat. I noticed mould all over the windows and condensation too! I have took pictures and videos and will be making a formal complaint as they shouldn’t be putting people let alone families with small children and pregnant women in rooms like that. Because we arrived after 22:30 I think they just thought we would go to bed and be none the wiser but when we woke up in the morning we noticed everything and left the hotel poorly!

The receptionist was informative and welcoming. The room was tidy( housekeeping team- well done for a good job as room was tidy with supplies) , booked the room relatively last minute but was available for a cheaper deal.
Air freshener in the room or Fragnance sachets would be good.

I booked a single basic room but hotel upgraded me to a premier room overlooking the harbour.
Amazing view of sunrise over the white cliffs of Dover.
The cabaret in the bar area was excellent very good George Micheal tribute singer and comedian!
Would recommend asking for room with a view of Folkestone harbour.
All was fine for the price

Everything is perfect except they could equip the room with a small fridge.

Very little to offer, rather a bleak experience
Security had to come and oust the people opposite our room because there was so shouting, swearing and probably if they had not arrived something really bad might have happened.
