unfortunately Port au Prince is not very safe for sightseeing but this hostel is comfortable paradise close to supermarket.
Phillip, owner is so hospitable and helped me a lots.
He also arranged escorted tour guide for wandering around city.
there are comfortable hot shower and wifi though black out sometimes happens.
because of the situation, there are only two guests at that time.

Private and away from main road. Beautiful green courtyard and garden area. What really makes the place is the owner Philip. Nothing is too much to ask for to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast and Lunch served at reasonable cost. Excellent hot water and water pressure on the property.
Pool not working when I was there. But option for pool access at Le Plaza Hotel less than one block down road. The $21 pool day pass includes pool access, 2 drinks and lunch entree.

I’m really unsure as far as where to start about this place. this was beyond exceptional. I was welcomed from the airport all the way to the facility. everything is within reach. whatever you need or have a question about, the staff was available to help 100% at a time. i’ve been traveling to haiti for over 20 years, for the first time I really felt home. I communicated with the owner(Mr. Phillip) over Whatsaap which was very convenient for me, the guy is really down to earth. I was thirsty almost at 11pm I called him to ask if there was anything to drink, the commercial cooler didn’t have much at the time, he handed me his personal Fanta and a nice and cold prestige. the breeze from the garden is like no other. I am planning on building my own home in haiti in the future but until then, this place is home. can’t wait to bring my wife and our 3 daughters along to have a great time. i was there for over a week, the only regret is having to go back to work so soon. thanks again for the hospitality folks. this will be in my heart for life. 🫶🏿🫶🏿🫶🏿🫶🏿🫶🏿🫶🏿

Great value for money and the location, but what really makes the place special is the staff. Philip (the owner, I assume) is a very honest man (btw. he was born in the US, so even if you don't speak French you'll have zero problems with communication) who helped me to get through my way.
Although I never do it, I followed Philip's recommendation and used the guide he recommended (Claude) to walk around the city in the night. Money very well spent, I must say. Although I visited Haiti in a very troubled time, thanks to Claude I still could experience some night vibe of Port-au-Prince.
The hotel/hostel is located in a historical building that still requires some refreshment to be done (they're on it, to what I heard)

Although due to conditions in the country they were unable to provide food, staff made coffee for me and directed me to where to eat. Good a/c and hot showers 😀

AC, location, friendliness of owner, pool, helpful staff
Power went out, though that's not the property's fault.

I'd like the tranquility, the atmospheric.
It's was a pleasure to be there, but I don't if the room doesn't have the bathroom inside.
That's only my inconvenient.

“Park Hostel” is like a small oasis right in the centre of PaP madness. Best value for money in whole Haiti. Unbeatable location right next to Champ de Mars, top amenities even by European standards. Paul is extremely helpful and will solve all your problems, just don’t hesitate to ask. Highly recommended.
