Originally built in 1851, Vert Lodge is an original piece of Chamonix History and is located next to Gaillands Lake and Climbing Wall, only 15 minutes' walk from the centre. Lots of public and private parking is available.

Nice spot by the lake with a cozy little nook to sleep in.

Nice spot by the lake with tasty breakfast and a cozy little nook to sleep in. Close to the bus stop, so easy access to town.

Took my sheets of at the end of my stay and the mattress/ pillow were a bit yuk. Linens seemed nice a clean tho. Room got quite hot

nothing , disgraceful

a bed to sleep in instead of a mattress on the floor. a room that you could actually stand up in. unsafe ladder to get into attic, not actually a room.

Inchecken moet je zelf doen. 's Morgens in een ruimte zelf je ontbijt pakken. ik had oud taai brood.

Personeel die een goed ontbijt kan verzorgen.

Chambre fonctionnelle

On peux arriver quand on veux ce qui est super. Ambiance auberge de jeunesse mais avec notre intimité, chambre et salle de d’eau privée. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Nous venions juste pour dormir le soir tard, arrivé vers 22h, c’était très bien pour ça.

Le lit était un peu bancal, on entend beaucoup les autres personnes dans le couloir. Insonorisation pas top.

Cozy shared room, great restaurant, really lovely and helpful staff.

Dirty bathrooms, the sink and shower were not draining. That looked really bad in a shared room.

Comfortable Stay!

Great location and good price for the location, but then you aren’t really getting anything fancy - but for where you are you don’t need anything over the top. We booked a double room and got given a twin room. We didn’t really have interactions with staff as they weren’t about. Cool place overall, mostly because where it is. Comfortable enough. We saw other rooms that looked better than ours and I think we would’ve enjoyed it more if we had more natural light in the room.

Above a club/pub so very noisy until about 1am. This should be made clear in description as I would not have booked it. Ear plugs are provided so they anticipate issues.

Excellent accommodation where breakfast is provided, warm and pleasant after hiking, skiing etc.

Reception is great! Room is small and cozy, yet spacious enough for 2 adults. View is divine (directly on the A. du Midi)! Breakfast is organized in form of take what you see and it's possible to take. In time from 5am (when they bring the baguettes) to 10am? Coffee is good, offer of games + books, restaurant is great! Service recommends and is nice. Affordable for Chamonix.

A little further from center of Chamonix and you need to travel by bus number 1 (always full) 1x every 30 minutes (approx. 20 minutes on foot). Half of bed was sagging and I was sliding to side - probably mattress is already older.

I only had this accomodation because French railways had a strike and I had to stay one more night at Chamonix. Lodge served its purpose, I left early and took train to Switzerland. Nearest railway station is within walking distance and I was able to have breakfast and coffee before 7am.

Pretty basic, rooms are small. There is not any extra space and overall it feels like a budget hostel.

Impossible to sleep before 2am due to loud party downstairs

We paid 120 euros for a hotel room vibrating with the music of the dj right under our bedroom till 2am. So if you're looking forward a good night of sleep after a ski day, don't go there. Funny, it said on the hotel rules 'no noise after 10pm' but I guess it doesn't apply to the restaurant - bar of the hotel..

Absolutely amazing

Exceeded our expectations! Its very comfortable and cosy, the rooms are beautiful with fascinating view. The staff are super friendly and helpful and their food is so yummy. Plus, the kitchen is open 24/7 with free coffee!! We loved every single minute over there and it definitely made our stay in Chamonix special
