Heartbreaking to leave this review💔 We (my boyfriend, his sister/brother in law & 1 couple) recently stayed and were so disappointed with the beds and harassment of the neighbors and property mangment Co that only 1 out of 3 couples stayed the 2nd night. Having spent several summers in Hope Idaho as a child Ellis port bay marina, I have stopped in Hope several times over the last twenty five years ( this being the first overnight stay since childhood). My memories of Hope were a sleepy, beautiful and friendly little marina town that always brought a smile to my face.
The view from this listing is undeniabley gorgeous and it has a definite quirky appeal with a great kitchen! However, this listing boasts it can sleep up to 8 people which it simply cannot. The 3rd room with bunk beds can only sleep small children as well as the sofa sleeper.1 adult couple can comfortably sleep in the king room and a smaller couple or 2 small children could sleep in the double bed that sits at an angle. No wood provided and the parking is a nightmare!! We traveled 25-30 minutes from Sandpoint to eat at the local Old Ice House Pizzeria (closes 8pm Fridays) by recommendation on here and for lodging. We drove up in two Classic collectors Cars(expensive and irreplaceable) in memorium to their father. Listed as 1 parking spot, sleeps 8??. We knocked on a couple of the neighbors doors asking for permission or offering to pay an overnight parking fee. Sweet Mother in law Judy answered across the st

The view was outstanding in the house was old, but very clean and well taken care of.

The cabin was so cute and cozy with an absolutely gorgeous view! Was perfect for us!

I was disappointed in the rental. The listing should be changed to be straight forward. I was looking for a place with easy access to the lake and the listing said “steps away” from the lake. Not sure if they were talking about Godzilla or not because the property is up a hill and there is a road 3 train tracks and a highway between you and the lake. Expect a 15-20 minute drive if you want to play in the water. I have nothing bad to say about the cabin. It was lovely and a perfect space to get away. The view from the deck was beautiful, just not as close as I though which was a bummer.

Some suggestions, screens on bunk room window and sliding patio door. Bunk beds need reinforcement.

We had the most amazing time on the lake and hiking the surrounding area. The home was perfect for our home base during our adventure and well taken care of by management. View of the mountains and lake was breathtaking.
Few minor issues:
Fridge needs replacement due to smell and lack of getting cold even on high
Xbox did not work
Gas grill was not cleaned and a fire hazard
Other than that, was an amazing location.

The view was amazing and the deck is where we spent most of our time. We were disappointed that there was no wood as seen in the picture. The floors were very slanted and hard to walk on. The view was the best. Icehouse Pizza was fun..just a short walk away.

It's a nice, no frills place to stay with an awesome view. Dated but clean and had all the essentials. A few things could use some maintenance, like a couple of non-functional outlets and some barely openable kitchen drawers. The outdoor furnishings were worn but serviceable, though the umbrella in the photos was missing entirely. Again, it's all about the view with this place but be aware that there is a lot of traffic noise from the highway so you won't be enjoying it in silence. Be warned that there are a lot of steps getting down the slope to the kitchen door so not necessarily the best choice for people with mobility issues. Ice House Pizza a hundred yards down the road is good food with very friendly people but there's not much else within a half hour drive of this place. Also, no Wi-Fi and virtually no cell service, which may be a plus if you really don't want the office to be able to reach you. Overall, it was a pleasant couple of days.

Boy they weren’t kidding when they said there’s a slope on this property, it is quite noticeable. Property was clean and the view was amazing. The train going through at all hours is noisy but we enjoyed our stay.

The property served as our landing pad while we visited the greater Sandpoint area. It was beautiful waking up to the view of the lake and the sun approaching the property as it came over the mountainside.

cute quirky older cabin. Wood burning stove was cozy. Beds comfortable. Some basic things missing. (lots of firewood for the wood stove, no fire starter/paper. Coffee pot but no coffee filters, small things like that.) Overall good stay. Most amazing vew of the lake!

Cozy with a great view from the deck, but slightly run down. Outlets didn't work in one bedroom.

Cute house with a few quirks but beds were comfy, the view was incredible and it was nice and quiet the entire stay. Definitely wasn’t ready to check out. Kitchen was fully equipped with all that we needed to cook meals. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Amazing views
Clean place, outstanding views, and easy booking. No internet and that was the only problem and it was a major inconvenience. Cell service with Verizon also wasn't great. For corporate travel this is important. Otherwise, a great place for a vacation.

Communication with Vacasa was terrible. Would not give entry info until morning of check in for “security” and “cleaning”okay fine. HOWEVER, home was filthy, bunk beds unsafe for any child-top bed shaky and loose. Dead flies in window sill - it’s Feb with below 0 temps; flies shouldn’t have been a factor, dust on every ledge, slow tub drain, bed on rollers on a slanted wood floor (really?), sliding door difficult to open/shut, and lock, no 3rd closet, no where for luggage for one of the bedrooms. Pictures/Ad misleading. Same furniture just FILTHY unclean home! The money we spent for/4 days- TOTAL RIP-OFF. This is a 1 star not a 4 star pricing. We left early due to weather (thankfully). I’d even go to motel 6 first. We left early due to weather (thankfully). This is a VACASA problem (mostly) not owner problem. The deck view was the only thing not misleading. Will not rent any Vacasa property ever again! If the home owner is reading this- do yourself a favor and get another management company!

Get-a-way
We flew into Spokane from San Diego. The drive to Hope was about 1:45min and very scenic. The cottage was easy to find, property manager team was very communicative in helping with directions and key lock. The cottage was very clean, all the amenities are there. Fireplace was great and burned a long time. They had stockpile of wood which was great. Right below cottage is a great little pizza place called the Ice Box, people are very friendly who own it as well as the operators. Down the road is a little country market, also great service and not a bad wine selection either. Only neg would be phone service and no WiFi. Overall great trip! Easily would visit again.
